Tue Feb 28 202315:40Ramon Laureano Scratched With Groin Tightness
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (groin) was scratched from Tuesday's Cactus League lineup with left groin tightness, according to the team. It doesn't sound as though Laureano's injury is very serious, but we'll keep a close eye on him this week. The 28-year-old will remain an outfield regular for the A's in 2023, giving him appeal in deeper mixed leagues for his power/speed combination. He played in only 94 games in 2022 due to a suspension and a late-season injury, slashing .287/.376/.663 with a career-low .663 OPS, 13 home runs, 34 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. He's just outside of RotoBaller's top 50 fantasy outfielders, mainly because he's only played over 100 games once in his five MLB seasons. Laureano will also reside in one of the league's weakest offenses.

Thu Sep 22 202212:41Ramon Laureano Expected To Miss Rest Of The Year
Oakland Athletics center fielder Ramon Laureano (hamstring) is expected to miss the rest of the season after being placed on the 10-day injured list last Saturday with a right hamstring strain. "I'm kind of sure it's going to be a season-ending (injury)," manager Mark Kotsay said. Still, Laureano will begin a rehab program in the coming days. He had already missed time from Aug. 15 to Sept. 5 with a strained left oblique, so the A's aren't going to rush him back with nothing to play for in 2022. The 28-year-old Dominican outfielder will finish his campaign with a .211/.287/.376 slash line with 13 home runs, 34 RBI, 49 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 383 plate appearances and 94 games. Seth Brown and Cristian Pache have been operating in a platoon in center field with Laureano out.

Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. The 28-year-old will return to the starting lineup after missing three weeks due to a Grade 1 left oblique strain. Laureano will bat second and cover center field against right-hander Kyle Wright on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should double check their lineup and make sure Laureano is back in there. He won't be a recommended streaming option in a tough matchup against Wright.

Sun Sep 4 202213:24Ramon Laureano Expected To Rejoin The A's On Tuesday
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) could potentially rejoin the team on Tuesday for their series opener against the Atlanta Braves. The 28-year-old outfielder has been out since August 14 due to a left oblique strain but started in right field for High-A Stockton for his minor league rehab assignment on Saturday. He's suiting up for Stockton once again, serving as the DH, on Sunday and if he makes it through without any setbacks, he should be able to rejoin the A's on Tuesday per manager Mark Kotsay.

Mon Aug 29 202211:01Ramon Laureano Won't Travel On Upcoming Road Trip
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) won't travel with the team on their upcoming road trip, according to manager Mark Kotsay. Instead, Laureano will continue his rehab work in Oakland. "With these injuries, if I gave you a timeline, we'd probably be wrong," Kotsay said. The 28-year-old outfielder is dealing with a left oblique strain and will still need to go on a minor league rehab assignment before he rejoins the A's starting lineup at some point in early September. Fantasy managers in shallow mixed leagues shouldn't hold Laureano if they have other needs. In 309 at-bats in 2022, he's hitting .223/.300/.395 with 12 home runs, 29 RBI, 44 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.

Mon Aug 22 202211:47Ramon Laureano Progressing In His Rehab
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (oblique) is "moving forward pretty quickly" in his recovery from a strained left oblique, according to skipper Mark Kotsay. Laureano hasn't played in a game since Aug. 14, but he played catch on Sunday after taking 10 swings with no ill effects on Saturday. There's still a good chance that the 28-year-old won't be ready to return from the injured list when he's eligible to return on Thursday. Before his injury, Laureano was hitting .223/.300/.395 with 12 home runs, 29 RBI, 44 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 343 plate appearances over 84 games played in 2022. He remains worth stashing in most fantasy leagues for his modest power/speed contributions.

Tue Aug 16 202211:44Ramon Laureano Placed On Injured List Tuesday
The Oakland Athletics placed outfielder Ramon Laureano (side) on the injured list on Tuesday and called up catcher Shea Langeliers and infielder David MacKinnon from the minors in corresponding moves. The A's also released outfielder Stephen Piscotty. Laureano left the game early on Sunday with left side soreness, and now he'll miss at least the next 10 days. The 28-year-old Dominican contributes modestly across the board for fantasy managers, slashing .223/.300/.395 with 12 home runs, 29 RBI, 44 runs scored and 10 stolen bases over 309 at-bats for the A's in 2022. With Laureano on the shelf, Skye Bolt should see added playing time in the outfield moving forward.

Mon Aug 15 202219:08Ramon Laureano Not Playing Against Rangers
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (side) is out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Texas Rangers. Laureano will take a seat after leaving Sunday's game against the Houston Astros with left side soreness. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Laureano has struggled in the month of August, hitting just .205 (9-for-44) with a homer, six RBI and 14 strikeouts in 11 games. The 28-year-old Dominican is hitting just .223 on the year, but he also has 12 homers, 29 RBI, 44 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 309 at-bats to make him valuable in most mixed fantasy leagues. Skye Bolt is starting in right field on Monday and hitting sixth against Rangers right-hander Glenn Otto. Bolt will provide low upside for DFS gamers, as he's hitting .205 (18-for-88) with four homers, 12 RBI and five steals on the season.

Mon Aug 15 202208:23Ramon Laureano Day-To-Day With Side Soreness
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (side) was removed from Sunday's game against the Houston Astros due to left side soreness. A's manager Mark Kotsay stated that Laureano began experiencing the soreness during his at-bat in the fourth inning of the game. He is being considered day-to-day. The 28-year-old has been struggling at the plate over the last few months. He hit just .196/.278/.443 in July and has compiled a .214/.250/.333 slash line so far in August while being caught stealing on each of his two stolen base attempts this month. He owns a .223/.300/.395 slash line over 84 games on the year to go along with 12 home runs, 10 stolen bases, 29 RBI and 44 runs.

Sun Aug 14 202216:17Ramon Laureano Removed Early On Sunday
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (undisclosed) was removed during Sunday's game due to an unknown injury. The 28-year-old slipped on the warning track early in the game, but stayed in the contest. He was later removed during the bottom half of the fourth inning for Stephen Piscotty. It's uncertain what is wrong with Laureano, but his removal was likely out of precaution. Fantasy managers should get an update on his status shortly.

Fri Jul 29 202211:28Brewers Discussing Ramon Laureano Trade
The Milwaukee Brewers are looking to upgrade in the outfield with the trade deadline looming. That being said, the front office is reportedly discussing trading for Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano. On paper, this seems like a good fit with the Brewers needing another full-time outfielder. Laureano isn't having a great year at the plate, but does have 10 home runs and nine stolen bases. His bat would likely receive a boost with a change of scenery to American Family Field. Possibly, the Brewers wouldn't have to give up too much considering Laureano is having a down year at the plate. Fantasy managers should stay tuned to see what happens over the next few days.

Fri Jul 1 202214:43Ramon Laureano Goes Deep Twice Against Mariners
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano went 2-for-5 with two home runs, two runs scored and four RBI in the team's 8-6 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Thursday evening. Laureano finished the month of June on a good note and hit .255/.320/.436 with three home runs, nine RBI, 11 runs scored and four stolen bases in 25 games in the month. It was nice to see the 27-year-old clear the fences, as he had just one home run in his previous 27 games. As usual, he's more of a threat on the base paths because of his speed. In 47 games for Oakland this season, Laureano is slashing .244/.328/.387 with four home runs, 13 RBI, 22 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 189 plate appearances.

But a CT scan turned up negative and he'll be back in the lineup Thursday. The 27-year-old has played in only 16 games this year while finishing up a suspension early on, and he's hitting just .167/.310/.250 with no homers, one RBI and two stolen bases in 58 plate appearances. Wed May 25 202221:48Ramon Laureano Set For CT Scan Thursday
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) said he didn't feel entirely right gripping and swinging the bat pregame and will undergo a CT scan on Thursday. He was initially in Wednesday's lineup as the team's starting right fielder but was a late scratch with a right-hand injury. The 27-year-old underwent x-rays on Sunday after exiting Saturday's game early after being hit by a pinch, which returned negative. The CT scan will determine if the A's outfielder is dealing with a significant injury. Luis Barrera should see an uptick in at-bats while Laureano is sidelined. Barrera went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI during Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Seattle Mariners.

Wed May 25 202215:20Ramon Laureano Scratched On Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) has been scratched from the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. Luis Barrera will now get the start in right field and hit ninth against Mariners left-hander Robbie Ray. Laureano will now miss his fourth straight game, although X-rays on his hand came back negative. The 27-year-old is hitting .167/.310/.250 with no homers, one RBI and two stolen bases in 16 games this year after getting a late start to the season due to a carried-over suspension from 2021. Barrera is hitting .316/.372/.474 in 15 games with a homer, six RBI and two stolen bases in 43 plate appearances, but he'll be merely a deep DFS sleeper in the nine-hole against a tough lefty starter.

Wed May 25 202215:10Ramon Laureano Returns Against Mariners
Oakland Athletics outfielder Ramon Laureano (hand) is back in right field and is hitting cleanup on Wednesday against Seattle Mariners left-hander Robbie Ray. Laureano missed the previous three games due to a hand injury, but X-rays came back negative and he's back in there Wednesday. The 27-year-old got a late start to the 2022 season while finishing up an 80-game suspension from last year, so he'll be playing in only his 17th game of the year on Wednesday. He is just 8-for-48 with no home runs, one RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases in 58 plate appearances. In a tough matchup against Ray, fantasy managers might want to consider leaving Laureano on their bench.
