Wed Jul 26 202316:22Cedric Mullins To Run Wednesday
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) has been hitting and throwing and will attempt to run on Wednesday. Mullins doesn't know at what percentage he'll run, but he's clearly making progress from a groin injury that landed him on the 10-day injured list on July 19. There's still no timetable for the 28-year-old's return, though, and it remains to be seen if the O's will send him on a minor-league rehab start before they activate him. Ryan McKenna is making the start for the Orioles in center field on Wednesday and is batting ninth against Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Mullins deserves to be stashed in all fantasy leagues while he heals up. He's hitting .259/.347/.454 with an .801 OPS, nine homers, 47 RBI, 14 steals and 33 runs scored in 251 at-bats as Baltimore's starting center fielder.

Wed Jul 19 202312:12Orioles Put Cedric Mullins On 10-Day Injured List
The Baltimore Orioles placed outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to July 16) on Wednesday with a right-adductor groin strain and recalled right-hander Logan Gillaspie from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Mullins missed the team's last three games with right-quadriceps tightness, but now he's landing on the IL with a groin issue. Either way, fantasy managers aren't going to have the 28-year-old available for a little bit longer. Hopefully, he'll be return to return when he's eligible on July 26. Mullins, the team's regular center fielder when healthy, should remain stashed in all fantasy formats while he heals up. In the meantime, veteran Aaron Hicks will continue to start for the Orioles in center field.

Tue Jul 18 202316:01Cedric Mullins Remains Absent For Orioles
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (quadriceps) will miss another game on Tuesday against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers. Aaron Hicks will make another start in center field and bat sixth for the O's against Dodgers right-hander Michael Grove. Mullins will be missing his third straight game since injuring his right quadriceps muscle on Saturday against the Miami Marlins. The 28-year-old's injury isn't believed to be very serious, so he's hoping to return to the lineup at some point this week. When Mullins does return, he'll be coming back to a .259/.347/.454 slash line with an .801 OPS, nine home runs, 47 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 33 runs in 251 at-bats as Baltimore's starting center fielder.

Mon Jul 17 202317:11Cedric Mullins To Miss Third Straight Game
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (quad) remains out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This marks the third game in a row that Mullins has missed due to ongoing quad tightness. The organization hasn't placed him on the injured list, so the team is hopeful it's only a day-to-day issue. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update on his status. Colton Cowser will cover left field and bat seventh versus right-hander Emmet Sheehan on Monday.

Sun Jul 16 202312:02Cedric Mullins Not Playing Sunday
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (quadriceps) is not in the team's starting lineup on Sunday against the Miami Marlins. Mullins will take a seat for Sunday's matinee game after he left Saturday's contest prematurely due to tightness in his right quadriceps muscle, but manager Brandon Hyde said he avoided something serious and could be out just a few days. For now, fantasy managers should consider the 28-year-old as day-to-day. Check back on Monday to see if he's ready to go for the series opener against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers. With Mullins out Sunday, rookie Colton Cowser is getting the start in center field and is batting seventh against Marlins left-hander Steven Okert. Mullins is currently hitting .259/.347/.454 with an .801 OPS, nine home runs, 16 doubles, three triples, 47 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 33 runs scored in 69 games in 2023. He's a must-start in fantasy when he's active.

Sat Jul 15 202321:05Cedric Mullins Exits Early With Quad Tightness
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (quad) was removed from Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins in the second inning due to right quad tightness. He experienced tightness in his quad after running from first to third base on a ball. The 28-year-old went 1-for-1 with an RBI before exiting. Colton Cowser replaced him during Saturday's game. Mullins is considered day-to-day, and the Orioles will provide a status after the game. Cowser, one of the Orioles' top prospects, would see an uptick in at-bats and is worth adding in all league formats despite hitting .188 (3-for-16) with two RBI over his first five big league games.

Sun Jul 2 202310:14Cedric Mullins Dropped To Fifth On Sunday
Baltimore Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins will start as the fifth batter for the first time in his career on Sunday versus right-hander Sonny Gray and the Minnesota Twins. The lefty-hitting Mullins occasionally occupies a lower part of the order against left-handed pitching, but shifts to the five-hole against a righty in this one. The 28-year-old is a quiet 4-for-24 (.167 BA) since returning from a near month-long absence with a right groin strain. Mullins perhaps aims to hit for more power in the heart of the order, altering his fantasy prospects. The former Silver Slugger is hitless (0-for-5) in his career opposing Gray.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins is back in the starting lineup Wednesday night against the visiting Cincinnati Reds and right-hander Luke Weaver. Since returning from the injured list, Mullins is 3-for-12 with three walks, a sacrifice fly, and a caught stealing across 16 trips to the plate. Sat Jun 24 202312:51Cedric Mullins Back From Injured List, Hitting Leadoff Saturday
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) was activated from the injured list on Saturday and is immediately back in center field and in the leadoff spot to face Seattle Mariners right-hander Bryce Miller. Mullins' injury was never considered very serious to begin win, and he played in three minor-league rehab games before rejoining Baltimore this weekend. Fantasy managers need to get the 28-year-old back in their starting lineups immediately. Mullins hasn't played in the big leagues since May 29, so there may be a little rust initially at the plate. In 194 at-bats so far in 2023, he's hitting .263/.356/.479 with an .835 OPS, eight home runs, 12 doubles, three triples, 39 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 26 runs scored in 53 games.

Fri Jun 23 202321:50Cedric Mullins Considered Day-To-Day
According to Baltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde, outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) is considered "day-to-day." The 28-year-old has been on the shelf since late May with a groin strain. However, he's moving in the right direction, as he remains on a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk. Nonetheless, Mullins, who is hitting .263 with 26 runs, 39 RBI, eight homers and 13 stolen bases, appears to be nearing a return, so fantasy managers will hopefully see him back sooner rather than later.

Tue Jun 20 202312:01Cedric Mullins, Ryan Mountcastle To Play In Rehab Game
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) and infielder Ryan Mountcastle (vertigo) are both expected to be in Triple-A Norfolk's lineup on Tuesday on their minor-league rehab assignments. Mullins is nearing a return to the big leagues after being out since late May with a right-groin strain, and barring a setback in the minors, the 28-year-old should be back with Baltimore by the end of the week. Mullins should be rostered everywhere and will return to a .263/.356/.479 line with eight homers, 39 RBI and 13 steals. Mountcastle is finally symptom-free after dealing with vertigo, and he, too, should rejoin the O's lineup later this week after playing in a few rehab games. The 26-year-old has struggled at the plate this year, hitting .227/.264/.422 in 60 games, but he does have 11 long balls and 39 RBI.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) is steadily progressing in his rehab, per manager Brandon Hyde. Mullins has been rehabbing at the team's complex in Sarasota, Florida, and appears to be progressing well. While there is still no timetable for his return, it's nice to hear that he hasn't suffered any sort of setback. Sat Jun 10 202314:01Cedric Mullins Has Resumed Baseball Activities
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (groin) has resumed baseball activities at the team's complex in Sarasota, Florida. The 28-year-old hit the injured list back in late May with a groin strain and currently has no timetable for his return. It's nice to hear that he's resumed baseball activities but fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see him anytime soon. Aaron Hicks will continue to man center field for the Orioles and the team should provide another update on Mullins next week.

Tue May 30 202316:06Cedric Mullins Hits Injured List, Aaron Hicks Signs
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right-groin strain while outfielder Aaron Hicks has been signed to a major-league contract. Mullins appeared to injure himself while running down the first baseline on Monday and, unsurprisingly, will need time to heal. It's been another big season for the 28-year-old as he's hitting .263 with eight homers, 13 stolen bases, and an .835 OPS across 53 appearances. Hicks, meanwhile, was designated for assignment by the Yankees after limping to a .188 average alongside a homer and a .524 OPS across 76 trips to the plate. It's conceivable the veteran sees a good chunk of playing time while Mullins works his way back from the IL.

Fri May 26 202316:32Cedric Mullins Returns To Lineup Against Rangers
Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins is back in the starting lineup and his customary leadoff spot on Friday to face right-hander Jon Gray and the Texas Rangers at Camden Yards. Mullins took a day off on Thursday for personal reasons, but he's back in the lineup and needs to be returned to all starting fantasy lineups as well. In just four career at-bats against Gray, Mullins has a home run and two RBI. Mullins has also gone 10-for-28 (.357) with four doubles, two home runs, six RBI and a stolen base in his last seven games since May 17, so he's been swinging a hot bat. The 28-year-old can do it all offensively for fantasy managers and is a must-start anytime he's in Baltimore's lineup.
