Sat Apr 1 202321:31Kyle Wright Scheduled To Make Rehab Start Wednesday
Atlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) is scheduled for a rehab start Wednesday for Triple-A Gwinnett. The 27-year-old was placed on the injured list earlier in the week due to right shoulder inflammation. If all goes well with his rehab outing on Wednesday, he will miss a few turns in the rotation and could come off the injured list when first eligible. Wright posted a 3.19 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and a 174:53 K: BB across 180 1/3 innings in 2022. Jared Shuster will continue to fill in Atlanta's rotation while Wright is sidelined. The Braves No. 10 prospect, Shuster, can be used as a streamer in a favorable matchup against the Nationals on Sunday.

Mon Mar 27 202318:11Kyle Wright Officially Placed On Injured List
The Atlanta Braves placed right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with right shoulder inflammation and recalled right-hander Nick Anderson from the minors in a corresponding move. Wright entered spring training with shoulder issues after getting a cortisone shot back in January. The 27-year-old is only expected to miss a couple turns through the starting rotation to open the 2023 regular season, though, so fantasy managers shouldn't have to wait long to use him. However, Wright will be extra risky as he continues to get ramped up and probably won't be an option for quality starts in the early going. One of Jared Shuster or Dylan Dodd will be sent back to the minors when Wright is ready to make his 2023 debut.

Sun Mar 26 202311:24Kyle Wright To Miss A Few Starts
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (shoulder) will make a start against minor-leaguers and another for Triple-A Gwinnett before he makes his season debut during the team's first homestand. It means that Wright will officially start the 2023 campaign on the injured list, but he's only slated to miss one or two starts to open the year. Wright was held back early in spring training due to shoulder soreness, but he made his Grapefruit League debut this past Monday and should be ready to go soon in Atlanta's rotation. The 27-year-old right-hander will be pretty risky in DFS early on as he builds up his pitch count, but in season-long leagues, he needs to be rostered everywhere. With Wright a little behind, it will allow both Jared Shuster and Dylan Dodd to open the year in the rotation.

Sat Mar 18 202322:05Kyle Wright To Make Spring Debut Monday
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (shoulder) said he's scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Wright has faced hitters in spring training, but this will be his first time getting into a game. The 27-year-old needed a cortisone injection in his right shoulder back in January and has been brought along slowly in camp. As long as he doesn't have a setback in the next couple weeks, he should be ready to go for Opening Day. Wright had a league-leading 21 wins last year in a breakout campaign and has become a solid starting target in fantasy leagues heading into the 2023 regular season.

Thu Mar 16 202311:08Kyle Wright To Make Spring Debut Next Week
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (shoulder) threw two innings on the back fields at camp on Wednesday and will make the first of two Grapefruit League starts next week and then make his final tune-up against minor-leaguers after the Braves leave camp. He's currently lined up to make his 2023 debut against the St. Louis Cardinals on the road between April 3-5. Wright required a cortisone injection back in January for a shoulder injury and has been brought along slowly in spring training, but he appears to be on track to go early in the year, barring a setback within the next couple of weeks. The 27-year-old right-hander broke out last year for Atlanta and fantasy managers, and even if he does see some regression in 2023, he should be a solid fantasy starter.

Tue Mar 7 202313:21Kyle Wright Could Make Spring Debut Next Week
Atlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) will throw a side session on Tuesday and live batting practice on Friday, and he could make his Grapefruit League debut next week. It sets him up to make three spring starts before Opening Day. Wright could make another start against minor-leaguers and then be lined up for the second series of the regular season against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 27-year-old is being in camp after needing a cortisone injection in his shoulder in January. Wright broke out for Atlanta in 2022 with a league-high 21 wins, career-best 3.19 ERA (3.58 FIP), 1.16 WHIP and 174 strikeouts in 180 1/3 innings (30 starts). Some regression could be in store, but Wright should still be considered a very solid fantasy starter.

Fri Feb 24 202315:02Kyle Wright Encouraged After First Bullpen
Atlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) said he "felt really good" after his first bullpen session of spring training on Friday. Wright ended up throwing 23 fastballs. The 27-year-old entered camp behind the other pitchers due to a right shoulder injury that required an injection last month. It's unknown if he'll be ready for the start of the regular season, but there's still a chance he could be if he doesn't experience any setbacks in Grapefruit League play. Wright proved himself in 2022 and developed into a solid mid-rotation starter for the Braves and fantasy managers by going 21-5 with a 3.19 ERA (3.58 FIP), 1.16 WHIP and career-high 23.6 percent strikeout rate in a career-high 180 1/3 innings over 30 starts.

Thu Feb 23 202317:36Kyle Wright To Throw Bullpen On Friday
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (shoulder) is still scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Friday. Wright completed a short box bullpen (catcher moved up) this week and didn't suffer any setbacks. The 27-year-old right-hander reported to spring training behind the other pitchers in camp after requiring a cortisone injection in his shoulder in January. Wright will be delayed as far as his schedule goes in the Grapefruit League, but barring a setback with his shoulder, he has a chance to be ready for Opening Day. He definitely had some good luck in 2022, but the extreme ground-ball pitcher is a solid fantasy starter and is ranked just inside the top 40 fantasy starting pitchers by RotoBaller.

Mon Feb 20 202320:25Kyle Wright Expects To Be Ready For Opening Day
Atlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) halted his normal offseason preparations for three weeks in January when he received a cortisone injection for a right shoulder injury. Wright has felt much better after the injection, though, even if he's slightly behind scheduled in spring training. The Braves have mapped out a plan for Wright to be ready for the start of the season, but he's still unlikely to make any Grapefruit League starts in the first couple weeks of action. The 27-year-old will likely need to make at least three spring starts in order to be ready on time. The former fifth overall pick was the only 20-game winner in baseball in 2022, which was great to see after he entered 2022 with a 6.56 ERA through 14 career MLB starts. Wright did it by ditching a slider for a curveball, while also making his two-seam sinker his second most-used pitch. He's RotoBaller's No. 39-ranked fantasy starter entering 2023.

Wed Sep 14 202214:40Kyle Wright Earns 18th Victory
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright got yet another win Tuesday night, his 18th of the season, in a 5-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Wright lasted 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out four batters. He has a 3.18 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 158 strikeouts in 164 innings this season. Wright has been a very steady fantasy presence all year for those who picked him up off the wire, and he's in position to continue racking up wins as the Braves push for a division title.

Sat Aug 20 202214:13Kyle Wright Earns Win In Return
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright made his return to the mound Friday night after having a turn skipped with arm fatigue, and he earned his 15th win of the season against just five losses. Wright allowed two runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings of work against the Houston Astros. Wright has gone at least six innings in each of his last seven starts, and his 3.14 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 136 strikeouts in 140 2/3 innings make him a very solid roster piece for fantasy managers.

Thu Aug 18 202211:28Kyle Wright Lined Up To Start Friday
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright (arm) is lined up to make his return on Friday to open the weekend series against the Houston Astros. Left-hander Max Fried (concussion) is returning from the seven-day injured list to pitch in the series finale against the division-rival New York Mets. Wright dealt with right arm fatigue in his last outing against the Boston Red Sox on Aug. 10, so the Braves gave him some extra rest. The 26-year-old right-hander has been strong this year with a 3.14 ERA (3.67 FIP), a 1.17 WHIP and a 129:39 K:BB in 134 2/3 frames over 22 starts, but he'll be a bit more risky in his return from arm fatigue against the first-place Astros on Friday.

Mon Aug 15 202218:55Kyle Wright Expected To Start This Weekend
Atlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (arm) is currently dealing with right arm fatigue. While he was originally lined up to make a start during this week's series against the New York Mets, the team is playing things safe with him and pushing his next start back a few days. According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Wright could make his next start at some point this coming weekend during the team's series against the Houston Astros. The 26-year-old is currently in the midst of a breakout year with a 14-5 record, 3.14 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 22 starts.

Sat Jul 30 202200:24Kyle Wright Posts Strong Outing
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright continued his impressive campaign against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. The 26-year-old went 6 2/3 innings, allowing five hits, and two earned runs in the victory. He was perfect through two innings before Jake McCarthy walked to leadoff the inning. The D-Backs got to him a few times, but this was still a strong outing for the right-hander. After this performance, Wright has an impressive 2.93 ERA through 20 starts. He'll get a tough challenge against the New York Mets during his next start.

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright was sharp Thursday night, throwing seven innings against the Washington Nationals. He allowed two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters to earn his 11th win of the season. Wright has now pitched at least seven innings in three out of his last four outings, including his most recent two. He's been a revelation for fantasy managers all year with a 2.95 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 107 strikeouts in 110 innings.

Fri Apr 29 202200:10Kyle Wright Improves To 3-0
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright had another solid outing on Thursday as his club defeated the Cubs 5-1. The right-hander allowed one run over seven frames, striking out eight and walking four as he improved his record to 3-0 on the campaign. The lone run scored on a pickoff play in the second inning where Nico Hoerner was able to stay in a rundown long enough for the runner from third base to reach home. Wright now sits with a 1.13 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and a 34/6 K/BB through 24 IP this season as he looks to keep his excellent start going with a road date versus the Mets next week.

Sun Apr 10 202201:00Kyle Wright Records First Win
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright recorded his first win in his season debut on Saturday as his club topped the Reds 2-1. The 26-year-old was sharp in this one, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out six over six-shutout frames. 56 of his 76 pitches were strikes as he seemed to be in control all evening by keeping the base paths quiet. Wright spent nearly all of the 2021 campaign in the minors, but did contribute positively in the World Series, so he's worth keeping on your watchlist moving forward. He can be scooped up in deeper formats, however, since he has a great supporting cast and will have a decent matchup on the road versus the Padres next weekend.

Mon Mar 28 202214:22Kyle Wright, Huascar Ynoa The Front-Runners For Rotation
Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker said that pitchers Kyle Wright and Huascar Ynoa are likely the front-runners for the two open starting rotation spots to begin the 2022 season. Wright, a 26-year-old right-hander, has a rough 6.56 ERA and 1.69 WHIP in 21 career major league outings (14 starts) over 70 innings pitched. He won't be attractive in shallow mixed leagues, but he could be worth a look in NL-only formats if he sticks in Atlanta's rotation. Ynoa had shoulder inflammation in the playoffs last year, but the 23-year-old appears to be fine this spring and was promising with a 4.05 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 100 strikeouts and 25 walks in 91 innings last season.

Tue Oct 26 202119:34Kyle Wright Makes World Series Roster
The Atlanta Braves have listed right-hander Kyle Wright on its World Series roster, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com. The Braves left him off of both the division and league championship series rosters. Wright only appeared in two games this season. He pitched to a 9.95 ERA with six strikeouts and five walks over 6.1 innings. Expect Wright to be used as a long reliever, or start a bullpen game down the road. He takes the spot of fellow right-hander Jacob Webb. Webb struggled in two appearances this postseason, posting a 21.60 ERA after he produced a decent 4.19 ERA in 34 relief appearances during the regular season. The Braves also added outfielder Terrance Gore this time around, who replaces utility man Johan Camargo.
