Thu Jul 21 202222:05Brusdar Graterol Won't Return When First Eligible
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brusdar Graterol (shoulder) will not return from the injured list when first eligible on Tuesday. He didn't play catch over the All-Star break but is pain-free. The 23-year-old was placed on the injured list last Thursday with right shoulder inflammation. He's pitched well as the Dodgers' primary setup man, racking up nine holds and three saves with a 3.35 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 35:10 K: BB across 40 1/3 innings 2022. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Graterol as the right-hander provides solid fantasy value in league formats that reward the category saves and holds.

Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol (side) was removed from Thursday's game against the Chicago Cubs after throwing just four pitches. The Dodgers stated that Graterol's removal was due to right side soreness. At this point, we don't have any information in regards to the severity of the injury or whether he's likely to require a stint on the injured list or not. The 23-year-old has been one of the team's top setup men this year, compiling nine holds while pitching to a 3.52 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP.

Tue Aug 3 202121:38Brusdar Graterol Called Up By Dodgers
Los Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol was called up from Triple-A on Tuesday, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Graterol joins the roster to fill the spot vacated by Edwin Uceta, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left lumbar sprain. It was a short stint in the minors this time for Graterol, who had just been optioned to Triple-A on Saturday. Over 10 games with the Dodgers this season, Graterol is 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA and 1.333 WHIP, with six strikeouts over nine innings of work. At this point he's really only an option in deep SV/HLD formats.

Fri May 28 202120:44Dodgers' Bellinger ready to come off IL, to start Saturday
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cody Bellinger is ready to return from a broken leg that's sidelined him for nearly two months. Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday the 2019 NL MVP will start in center field on Saturday and Sunday against San Francisco. Bellinger has been out since April 5 with a hairline fracture in his left fibula. The World Series champion Dodgers went through a rough patch without him but have since won 13 of 15 and sit a half-game behind the NL West-leading San Diego Padres. Los Angeles entered Friday 1 1/2 games ahead of the Giants. Bellinger batted .305 with 47 homers during his MVP season but wasn't as sharp during Los Angeles' 2020 title run, hitting .239 with 12 homers in a pandemic-shortened regular season. The 25-year-old was 4 for 19 (.211) in four games this season before being sidelined by the injury. In five rehab games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Bellinger is 4 for 20 with two home runs, 3 RBIs, one walk and has struck out four times. He took live batting practice against Dodgers reliever Brusdar Graterol, who is also rehabbing. Utility player Zach McKinstry is also expected to return from injury Saturday, but Roberts was unclear how he will use him or if he’ll start this weekend. McKinstry has been out since April 22 with an oblique strain. ___ More AP MLB: https://apnews.com/hub/MLB and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports

Wed May 12 202120:36Dodgers 3B Edwin Ros out for season after shoulder surgery
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers backup third baseman Edwin Ríos will miss the rest of the season after surgery on his right shoulder. Right-hander Dustin May also underwent Tommy John surgery on Wednesday, sidelining him until at least the summer of 2022. The defending World Series champions announced their decision later Wednesday on Ríos, who has a partially torn labrum. He will have surgery next week. The Dodgers also shut down Josiah Gray, their top pitching prospect, due to a right shoulder impingement. Gray, who was scratched from his minor league start at the last minute Tuesday night, will rest for at least a week before re-evaluation. Ríos got off to a rough start this season with the Dodgers, batting .078 with one homer in 25 games while clearly struggling with his swing. The 27-year-old Puerto Rican prospect made his major league debut in 2019. Ríos appeared in seven postseason games last fall, hitting two homers in the NLCS against Atlanta. He had hoped to land a steady... [More]
Mon May 3 202121:33Dodger downer: Pitcher Dustin May to have Tommy John surgery
CHICAGO (AP) — Dustin May got an MRI on Monday morning, and that was it. His season was over. May will have Tommy John surgery next week, leaving the Los Angeles Dodgers without one of baseball’s top young pitchers for the rest of their title defense. “It’s a big blow,” manager Dave Roberts said before the team’s series opener against the Cubs was postponed because of inclement weather in the forecast. “But we’ve got a lot of talented players, and we just got to find a way to fill that void.” The 23-year-old May was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, a day after the right-hander winced in pain on the mound and was forced to leave a start at Milwaukee. The World Series champion Dodgers, already beset by several injuries to their pitching staff, said Dr. Neal El Attrache will perform May's ligament reconstruction surgery on May 11 in Los Angeles. “It’s obviously very disappointing,” Roberts said. “He’s handling it like a pro. You know, wants to figure out what’s the next step after... [More]

Sun May 2 202114:53Dodgers' May put on injured list, latest setback for staff
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Dustin May was put on the 10-day injured list Sunday with an arm ailment, the latest setback for the pitching staff of the World Series champions. May threw just 27 pitches Saturday before leaving a game the Dodgers eventually lost 6-5 to Milwaukee in 11 innings. After his final pitch, May reacted with obvious pain, took a few steps and called for attention. After the game, manager Dave Roberts said May felt “kind of a shooting sensation” through his arm on a curveball he threw. Roberts said Sunday the 23-year-old May would get an MRI when the team arrives in Chicago on Monday to begin a series against the Cubs. The Dodgers purchased the contract of left-hander Mike Kickham and transferred right-handed reliever Corey Knebel to the 60-day injured list. May is 1-1 with a 2.74 ERA in five starts this season. He has a career mark of 6-5 with a 2.93 ERA in 31 appearances, including 19 starts. May joins a crowd of Dodgers pitchers on the injured... [More]

Four pitchers combined on the Rays’ second three-hitter of a series in which New York managed 11 hits in all. Wed Oct 28 202002:31World Series notes: Dodgers bullpen finishes off Rays
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — First, it was Dylan Floro. And then Alex Wood, Pedro Báez, Victor González, Brusdar Graterol and finally, Julio Urías. The Los Angeles Dodgers relied on their bullpen in a World Series-clinching 3-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6 on Tuesday night. Floro, Wood, Báez, González, Graterol and Urías combined for 7 1/3 innings of two-hit ball after Tony Gonsolin was pulled in the second. “Those guys won us that game,” catcher Austin Barnes said. Gonsolin allowed Randy Arozarena's homer in the first and departed with runners on first and second. Floro came in and struck out Arozarena, ending the inning. Wood pitched two innings before Báez got two outs. González entered with Arozarena on first and retired Austin Meadows on a grounder to second, ending the fifth. After González struck out the side in the sixth, Graterol got two outs and Urías finished for the save.
