Sun Apr 23 202320:45Michael Busch Extends On-Base Streak To 21 Games
After a 3-for-6 effort, Los Angeles Dodgers second base prospect Michael Busch has extended his on-base streak to 21 straight games with Triple-A Oklahoma. The UNC product is off to a blisteringly hot start, slashing .325/.458/.494 with two home runs, 14 RBI, and 16 runs. While his bat is good enough for the big leagues, his atrocious defense limits his potential. With a surplus of hitting-only talent already on the Dodgers roster, it'll be difficult for the 25-year-old to get in swings with the Dodgers major league squad. Don't think to stash Busch just yet, but keep an eye on him, even if it's just to witness how long this on-base streak last.

Wed Mar 15 202312:17Michael Busch Reassigned To Triple-A
Los Angeles Dodgers second base prospect Michael Busch has been optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Busch, 25, hit .261 with one home run and three this spring. Busch has been one of the Dodgers top prospects over the past few seasons, but there hasn't been a spot for him at the big-league level. In 2022, Busch hit a healthy .274 with 32 home runs and 108 RBI between Double-A and Triple-A. Busch continues to perform well on the farm, but fellow prospect infielder Miguel Vargas has leaped him for a big-league roster spot. If Vargas or veteran infielder Max Muncy struggle out of the gates, Busch may be in line for a promotion. For now, he remains a hold in dynasty leagues and can be ignored in redraft leagues.

Thu Jul 28 202208:39Michael Busch Continues Impressive Season At Triple-A
Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk on Wednesday for Triple-A Oklahoma City. For the season the 24-year-old is now hitting .277 with 22 homers, 67 RBI and four stolen bases. Busch is one of the Dodgers top prospects, but like teammate Miguel Vargas, there just isn't a spot for him on the big-league squad at the moment. With the trade deadline approaching in less than a week, Busch is a name to monitor, but at the moment, his best value is in dynasty leagues.

Tue May 17 202211:42Michael Busch Promoted To Triple-A
Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Michael Busch, the team's No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has officially been promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City. The No. 65 overall prospect in baseball hit .306/.445/.667 with 11 home runs in 31 games for Double-A Tulsa before the promotion. The 24-year-old has a similar all-around profile to that of Max Muncy, although many believe Busch is a better pure hitter, which is saying a lot. The left-handed hitter should absolutely be rostered in dynasty leagues and could make his major league debut later this year, but he probably won't see much in the way of playing time on the Dodgers stacked roster. Busch's advanced approach at the plate should make him a great asset in on-base percentage leagues down the road.

Thu May 12 202207:27Michael Busch Continues To Perform Well In Double-A
Los Angeles Dodgers second base/outfield prospect Michael Busch had another productive day at the plate for Double-A Tulsa on Wednesday. The Dodgers No. 3 prospect went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI and a solo home run to raise his batting average to .295 on the season. The talented second baseman has shown plenty of power this season with 10 home runs and 28 RBI to go along with a shiny 1.086 OPS. Wednesday was just the second time this year that Busch started in the outfield, with his main position being second base, but the Dodgers value versatility and that may be the youngsters best bet to climb through the ranks. Busch has shown good plate discipline in the past, but he does have 35 strikeouts compared to 22 walks in 95 at-bats. It's good to see him drawing walks, but he will need to cut down on the strikeouts. Despite that, Busch has a true shot to debut for the Dodgers this season. As long as the playing time would be there for Busch, he would be worthy of taking a shot at in redraft leagues. Those in dynasty leagues should consider adding Busch now.
