Geltz will have his contract purchased from Triple-A Durham when rosters expand Monday, Steve Carney of 620 WDAE reports.
Geltz tossed 41.2 innings out of the bullpen at Triple-A Durham this season, producing a 2.38 ERA and sparkling 60:17 K:BB ratio. He'll have to settle for low-leverage middle relief duty initially, but if his production quickly carries over to the big leagues, he could become one of the top setup men for closer Jake McGee.

Rays pitching prospect Steve Geltz has been suspended 50 games by Major League Baseball after second positive test for a drug of abuse.
Geltz made it up to the majors briefly with the Angles in 2012 before being traded to the Rays in the Dane De La Rosa deal. He's posted a 3.86 ERA with 19 strikeouts over 16 1/3 innings for Triple-A Durham this season. The 26-year-old will return to Durham once his suspension is up.
