Hale got the start on Thursday and allowed four runs on six hits and two walks across five innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks. He truck out three.
Hale is simply not a very good pitcher and that proved to be the case yet again here. He noe maintains a 6.09 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in 12 starts this season. He is simply a stop-gap pitcher for the Rockies and he may have trouble finding an opening day roster come next year.

Hale (5-5) gave up a single run on five hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings in Friday's win over the Dodgers.
Friday was arguably Hale's best outing of the season though, given his 7.38 ERA and 1.69 WHIP over his prior 11 appearances, the bar was not set too high. The young right-hander has disappointed mightily this season after showing some promise in Atlanta in 2014.
Tue Sep 22 201518:11Hale will get start Friday against Dodgers
Hale will get the start Friday against the Dodgers, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
Hale has struggled this season, posting a 6.32 ERA and 1.46 WHIP in 68.1 innings this season, but with Yohan Flande set to miss his next start, Hale will get another audition for next year's starting rotation, this time against the Dodgers.

Hale tossed three innings in relief, allowing three earned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out three in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Mariners.
Hale promptly picked up where starter Yohan Flande left off, giving up home runs to the heart of Seattle's lineup. Acquired from Atlanta over the off-season, Hale was expected to stick in Colorado's rotation only for injury and poor performance to derail his season. With dreadful numbers in the majors and Triple-A Albuquerque, Hale will need a complete turn-around in 2016 to gain fantasy relevance.
Mon Aug 24 201519:17Hale optioned down to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday
Hale was optioned down to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Nick Groke of The Denver Post reports.
Hale has split his time in the majors and minors this season but most recently he put in 6.0 innings of work against the Mets on Sunday that resulted in nine strikeouts, six hits, and four earned runs. He's verging on getting consistent time with the Rockies, but as for now the 27-year-old will make room for fellow pitcher Chad Bettis to start Tuesday.

Hale (3-5) took the loss on Sunday, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks, while striking out nine batters in a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Mets.
It was just his third start without allowing a home run this season and he did strike out nine batters, tying a season high, but that's about the only good news for Hale, who fell behind early after a one run double by Daniel Murphy in the first inning. Things didn't get much better for the 27-year-old, as his wild command (set Rockies franchise record with four wild pitches) ultimately pushed two more runs across the board. Since returning from a month-long stint on the DL Aug. 18, Hale has given up ten earned runs in 11 innings and has given up 14 hits, five of which were of the extra base variety.

Hale allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings in a no decision Tuesday against the Nationals. He struck out four.
Hale has made it through just two starts without giving up a home run this year, and he gave up another one, a two-run blast to Yunel Escobar, in the first inning Tuesday. Hale has been a disaster for the Rockies, as his ERA is now up to 6.17.
