Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper continued his torrid play on Wednesday, collecting two more hits during a 6-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs. The 28-year-old finished the night 2-for-3 with a double, walk and a run scored. The six-time All-Star has been unreal over the past 30 days, posting 11 HR, 27 RBI, 22 R, and a stolen base with a .346/.457/.760 line across 104 at-bats. Fantasy managers have been rewarded with one of Harper's best and well-rounded seasons during his 10-year career. Harper is seeking his second NL MVP and is currently in a two-horse race with San Diego Padres outfielder/shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. for the award. The slugger has increased his chances of being a first-round pick in redraft leagues next season and is still a terrific option in dynasty formats as he is in the midst of his prime.

Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI, and a double during a 12-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. The 28-year-old has put together another terrific season, posting 33 HR, 90 RBI, 96 R, and 23 SB with a .258/.348/.539 line across 488 at-bats. Ramirez also has an 11.5% barrel rate, 43% hard-hit rate, and 13.8% K rate all career bests. As long as the three-time All-Star continues to produce on the basepaths, he should remain a first-round caliber player in redraft formats and is still a strong option in dynasty settings.

Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI during an 8-6 loss to the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. The 22-year-old has been red hot the past 30 days, posting six homers, 23 RBI, 24 R, and three stolen bases with a .350/.514/.590 line across 100 at-bats. While the slugger didn't return the top-five value fantasy managers were seeking in the first half of the season, Soto has more than made up for it in the second half and has the upside to deliver hardware for patient managers. Soto will be a top-five pick in redraft leagues next year, and those fortunate enough to have him secured in dynasty formats have a future MVP on their hands.

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India went 1-for-3 with a run scored, RBI, and stolen base during a 5-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. The 24-year-old stole second base during the fifth inning, his 10th of the season. The Rookie of the Year candidate in the National League has had a stellar season, posting 20 HR, 66 RBI, 86 R, and 10 SB with a .272/.378/.464 line across 474 at-bats. India will surely require a heavy investment next year in redraft formats and is a rock-solid option in dynasty settings, as he leads off for a strong Reds lineup.

Tampa Bay Rays catcher Mike Zunino went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during a 6-3 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. The 2021 All-Star took Blue Jays starting pitcher Robbie Ray deep for his 30th HR of the season during the fifth inning. The 30-year-old has also posted 57 RBI, 57 R, and a .203/.272/.412 line across 301 at-bats. Zunino ranks in the top-six in the traditional power categories at the position and has rewarded fantasy managers with sturdy production.

The New York Mets reinstated infielder Jose Peraza (finger) from the injured list on Wednesday. Outfielder Albert Almora Jr. was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Peraza was sidelined for nearly two months due to a fractured right middle finger. He was seeing semi-regular playing time earlier in the season when the Mets were bombarded with injuries. The Mets are a bit more intact now, at least in the infield, and they also added Javier Baez while Peraza was injured. As a result, Peraza will be relegated to a reserve role going forward. He came in as a pinch-hitter in his first game back on Wednesday and went on to deliver an RBI single in the seventh inning.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Robbie Ray was superb yet again on Wednesday, striking out 13 Rays in the team's 6-3 win. The lefty didn't walk a batter and gave up just one run on four hits with the only damage coming off a Mike Zunino home run in the fifth inning as he recorded his 12th win of the campaign. Ray continues to make a case for the AL Cy Young with a league-leading 2.64 ERA and 233 K in 177 1/3 IP for the Blue Jays this season. Continue to fire up the 29-year-old in all starting lineups the rest of the way, including in his next start in a rematch versus the Rays next week.

Toronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano tossed a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday to close out the team's 6-3 win over the Rays. He recorded a groundout, strikeout, and a pop out in the quick 11-pitch frame for his 18th save in 19 opportunities this season. The right-hander has been sharp nearly all season as he sits with a 2.41 ERA, and 1.05 WHIP with 73 K in 56 IP in his second year as the Jays closer. The only disappointing part of Romano's fantasy output is his relatively low save total, but he's offset that with a 7-1 record to give managers help elsewhere.

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette paced the offense on Wednesday by driving in five runs to help his club defeat the Rays 6-3 in the series finale. He got the scoring started early by homering off Michael Wacha in the first inning for a three-run shot before adding a sac fly and an RBI single to finish the contest going 2-for-5. The 23-year-old is having an outstanding first full season in the majors with 25 HR, 111 runs, 93 RBI, 22 SB, and a .293 BA in 143 games. Managers should continue to ride his five-category production the rest of the way as we close in on the season's end.

New York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (ankle) is itching to get back into action. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday of his impending return, Taillon said, "There's not too much season left so the sooner the better for me." Taillon landed on the injured list on September 8 due to a partially-torn tendon in his right ankle. On Wednesday, he threw off a mound for the first time since the injury. He wore a brace on his ankle and threw 15 pitches. Taillon told reporters that he didn't feel any issues with his ankle during the short throwing session. It's yet to be seen whether the Yankees also believe that Taillon is ready for action yet. He's worth keeping an eye on for fantasy managers who are desperate for some additional streaming options amidst a thin pitching landscape.

The Cleveland Indians placed shortstop Amed Rosario on the bereavement list on Wednesday. The team will likely be without him through the weekend. Infielder Ernie Clement was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move. Andres Gimenez drew the start at shortstop for Wednesday's game and should continue to see most of the starts at the position while Rosario is away from the team. The 25-year-old Rosario has had a decent first year with the Indians in 2021. Over 133 games, he's slashed .279/.316/.405 with 10 home runs, 51 RBI and 70 runs.

The Houston Astros called up relief pitcher Josh James from Triple-A Sugar Land on Wednesday. The move was made after outfielder Michael Brantley (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list. The 28-year-old James has appeared in just one game for the Astros this year. He made a relief appearance earlier this month and gave up two earned runs in an inning. He's been stellar in the minor leagues this year, however. Over 19.2 innings spread across Triple-A and Single-A, he's posted a 1.37 ERA and a 1.169 WHIP while averaging 11.4 K/9. He'll have to pitch extremely well in order to earn himself high-leverage opportunities or a spot on the team's postseason roster.

The Kansas City Royals placed relief pitcher Wade Davis (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation on Wednesday. The 36-year-old veteran was hit hard in his last appearance against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. He pitched one inning and allowed three hits, two walks and three earned runs. It's been a rough year overall for the three-time All-Star. Over 40 appearances, he's posted a 6.75 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP while converting two of his three save opportunities. The Royals also placed starting pitcher Mike Minor (shoulder) on the injured list on Wednesday while relievers Scott Blewett and Gabe Speier were added to the roster.

San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers is absent from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Dominic Leone and the San Francisco Giants. Jurickson Profar is getting the start in right field for the game and he's also leading off as the team's primary leadoff hitter, Trent Grisham, is being bumped down to the No. 8 spot in the lineup. Myers has been ice cold at the plate so far in September. Over 11 games this month, he's slashed .171/.268/.429 with 14 strikeouts. Expect to see him back in the lineup for the series finale against the Giants on Thursday.

The San Diego Padres placed starting pitcher Blake Snell (groin) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday due to a strained groin. Snell suffered the injury during his last outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. He was forced to exit the start in the first inning and the team has been monitoring him closely throughout the week. He was scheduled to make his next start against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday, but the Padres will need to find another option now. The team signed recently-released veteran Vince Velasquez on Wednesday and he appears to be primed for a start at some point this weekend. Fantasy managers should stash Snell on an IL spot, but there's a decent chance that we've seen the last of him this season.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski (elbow) was scratched from the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the San Diego Padres due to an elbow bruise. Steven Duggar is manning center field in the game with LaMonte Wade Jr. in right field and Kris Bryant in left. Yastrzemski was hit by a pitch on the elbow in Tuesday's game. He was initially part of the Giants' starting lineup for Wednesday, but went on to become a late scratch. He should be considered day-to-day at this point with a chance to return in Thursday's series finale.

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning had one of the best starts of his young career in Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched six innings and allowed two hits, three walks and one earned run while striking out six. He earned the win to improve to 4-6 on the year. Manning has been extremely inconsistent lately. He's now earned quality starts in three of his last six outings, but in his first outing of September, he was tagged for eight runs over 3 2/3 innings. He's too risky to trust for fantasy purposes at this point. His next start will be a tough one against the Chicago White Sox on Monday.

The San Diego Padres signed starting pitcher Vince Velasquez to a minor league contract on Wednesday. According to multiple sources, the Padres are planning to add Velasquez to the team's active 28-man roster and he will start a game during this weekend's series against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 29-year-old veteran was released by the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. He was in the midst of rehabbing a finger injury when he was cut. Velasquez appeared in 21 games for the Phillies this year and made 17 starts, going 3-6 with a 5.95 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. We'll see if the Padres can help turn his season around, but fantasy managers should steer clear for now.

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed starting pitcher Tyler Gilbert (elbow) on the 10-day injured list with elbow fatigue on Wednesday. Fellow starter Merrill Kelly was activated from the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move and he is set to start Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 27-year-old Gilbert had pitched relatively well in his five outings after his no-hitter on August 14. Over nine games (six starts) this year, Gilbert has gone 2-2 with a 3.15 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP. Given the timing of his injury, there's a good chance we won't see him again in 2021.

Houston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez has been getting some increased defensive reps at first base. According to Astros manager Dusty Baker, there's a chance that Alvarez could start seeing some action at first base during games soon. Yuli Gurriel is the team's starting first baseman and should be back on a team option next year, but Alvarez could man the position on Gurriel's off days or hold it down if Gurriel were to get hurt. Alvarez played a little first base in the minors, but hasn't appeared at the position in the minors. It's unlikely Alvarez will open the 2022 season with first base eligibility in fantasy, but there could be a chance he'll get there at some point next year if he's able to settle in at the position and make enough in-game appearances there.
