Houston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado will carry a three-game hitting streak into the team's matchup against the Angels Tuesday night. Maldonado went 2-for-5 with a home run and three runs batted in Monday and is slugging .421 over his last seven starts. The defensive-minded catcher has been very subpar from the offensive side of things this season and is slashing only .176/.277/.303 through 303 at-bats.

Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel has multiple hits in six of his last eight games heading into Tuesday's matchup against the Angels. Gurriel is 15-for-36 (.416) during that span and is hitting .343 in the month of September. The 37-year-old continues to rake and produce, slashing .317/.383/.463 this season with 14 home runs, 30 doubles, 76 runs batted in and 78 runs scored. Gurriel is an excellent play in category-driven leagues this week.

Houston Astros starter Zack Greinke (11-6) is stuck in a rut on the mound heading into his next start at the end of the week. The veteran has been roughed up in each of his last three starts, allowing 18 runs and 19 hits across his last 13 innings pitched. Greinke lasted only four innings on Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing five runs. The 37-year-old is enjoying a solid season but has allowed six home runs over his last four starts. He will have a couple more turns in the rotation to right the ship before the postseason begins.

Houston Astros infielder/outfielder Marwin Gonzalez is slugging .619 over his last 21 at-bats heading into the team's matchup with the Angels Tuesday. Gonzalez went 2-for-5 Monday with one home run, two runs scored and five runs batted in. The versatile role player now has three home runs over his last six starts despite hitting only .190 in the month of September. Gonzalez was picked back up by the Astros a month ago and can provide some flexibility and pop off the bench but is not a fantasy option.

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is enjoying a fantastic month of September heading into the team's matchup against the Angels Tuesday night. Correa is hitting .393 over his last seven games with 11 runs batted in during that span. The impending free agent is slashing .333/.365/.580 with four home runs, five doubles, 12 runs scored and 17 runs batted in over his last 17 games. Correa will be a fantastic DFS option for Tuesday's slate of games.

Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman will head into Tuesday's action swinging the bat well in the month of September. Bregman is 21-for-64 (.328) with five extra-base hits, 10 runs scored and 16 runs batted in over his last 17 games. Bregman is now posting a .890 OPS in 22 games since returning from the injured list in August. The 27-year-old is an attractive DFS option for Tuesday.

Houston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez will try and shake loose of a mini-slump when the team takes on the Angels Tuesday night. Alvarez is 6-for-28 (.214) over his last seven games and is hitting only .236 over his last 55 at-bats. The talented slugger is having a fantastic season and has been productive hitting away from Minute Maid Park. Alvarez is slashing .269/.350/.547 through 67 road games with 17 home runs and 51 runs batted in. Alvarez leads the team with 31 home runs and 98 runs batted in heading into Tuesday's matchup

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve will enter Tuesday's action white-hot at the plate right now. Altuve will take an eight-game hitting streak into the team's matchup against the Angels and is 11-for-30 (.366) during that span with one home run, three doubles, four runs batted in and 10 runs scored. Altuve is now slashing .328/.419/.595 in the month of September and is a must-play in DFS tournaments this week.

Houston Astros starter Jose Urquidy will take the mound Tuesday night against the Angels. Urquidy (7-3) has been solid since returning from the injured list, posting a 1.13 WHIP, a 3.38 ERA with 12 strikeouts across 13 1/3 innings pitched. Urquidy is in line for solid production in fantasy for Tuesday's slate of games.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Erick Fedde allowed four runs (two earned) in five innings against the Miami Marlins Monday, taking a no-decision in an eventual 8-7 extra-inning loss. He gave up four hits, including three home runs, and no walks while striking out five batters. Fedde has not had a calendar month with an ERA under five since June, and with a 5.10 ERA and 1.39 WHIP for the season, he simply isn't a factor in the fantasy conversation.

Washington Nationals outfielder Lane Thomas had another strong game Monday, going 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, and two runs scored against the Miami Marlins in an 8-7 extra-inning defeat. Thomas has slashed .302/.390/.548 with six homers, 25 runs scored, and 22 RBI in his 33 games and 126 at-bats as a National. It remains to be seen whether this production will last into 2022, but he simply must be rostered and activated in all leagues for the remainder of this season.

Washington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz drove in four runs against the Miami Marlins Monday. He went 3-for-5 with three singles and a run scored. That's his third three-hit game in his last four, bringing his slash line over his last seven games to .385/.429/.462 with eight RBI. He still has just three extra-base hits in his 56 career at-bats, but he's already showing off what makes him such a strong prospect on the field and in fantasy.

Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager had a three-hit game against the Oakland Athletics Monday, hitting a double and two singles and driving in three runs. Seager has now matched his career high with 99 RBI for the season. It's his fourth three-hit game of the year, and his first since June 13. Seager can be a drain on batting average, hitting just .211, but he's contributed plenty for fantasy managers with his 34 homers and 74 runs scored.

Texas Rangers infielder Charlie Culberson surprisingly provided the power for this lineup during Monday's contest. He went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the fifth inning of what ended up being a 4-3 loss to the New York Yankees. This was Culberson's fifth home run on the season, but he is not a player known for his power. He is mainly a veteran infielder used off the bench and can be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald recorded a five-out save against the Oakland Athletics Monday, bringing his season total to nine saves. Sewald entered in relief of an ineffective Diego Castillo with two runners on and proceeded to strike out both Matt Olson and Matt Chapman. He struck out three total and did not allow a baserunner. Sewald has now had three consecutive scoreless outings after having three consecutive in which he was scored upon. He appears to be back on track, though fantasy managers who are only in search of holds will be disappointed with his high-leverage usage.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher A.J. Alexy struggled to find the strike zone during Monday's game against the New York Yankees. He went 3 1/3 innings, four hits allowed, four earned runs, six walks, and one strikeouts in the 4-3 loss. It's surprising that he only gave up four runs considering he walked that many batters. Alexy was solid during his first two big league starts, but has control issues. He'll be an avoidable fantasy option for the rest of the season.

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Tyler Anderson shut down the Oakland Athletics for seven innings Monday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with seven strikeouts to earn his seventh win of the season. Anderson has started seven games since being traded to Seattle, recording a 3.38 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts in 56 innings. He's allowed more than three earned runs on just one occasion, making him a solid floor play in deep leagues.

Atlanta Braves outfielder Austin Riley took advantage of the Arizona Diamondbacks lackluster pitching staff on Monday. He went 3-for-5 with three doubles and three RBI in what ended up being a 11-4 blowout victory for Atlanta. The 24-year-old has really settled into a groove this season and is becoming a main piece in the middle of the lineup. Riley is hitting .301 with 29 home runs and 92 RBI, so certainly someone to think about early in fantasy drafts next season.

Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is one of the main reasons why this team is in first place in the division. The former MVP has put on a show at the plate and has been an important piece to this lineup. On Monday, Freeman went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in the 11-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. It's unlikely that Freeman wins another MVP this season. However, Freeman is hitting .300/.390/.510 with 30 home runs and 80 RBI, so a solid season at the plate.

Oakland Athletics outfielder Chad Pinder went 1-for-3 with a run scored in a loss to Seattle on Monday night. Pinder has been rotating playing time between right field, left field, and second base and hasn't been getting enough at-bats to justify a roster spot in fantasy. When he does play, he's slashing just .233/.294/.372 with just three homers and one steal on the season. He's a nice utility player for Oakland, but fantasy managers can continue to ignore Pinder on waivers.
