Wed Sep 22 202100:41Antonio Senzatela Takes A No-Decision On Tuesday
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took a no-decision on Tuesday when he allowed four runs on seven hits with three strikeouts over six innings in a 5-4 loss to the Dodgers. Senzatela was looking good through the first four innings on Tuesday, keeping the Dodgers' high-powered offense off the scoreboard. He started to scuffle in the fifth inning, however, allowing a pair of RBI singles to Julio Urias and Mookie Betts. Max Muncy and Will Smith drove in a few more runs in the sixth inning as well, which snapped his quality start streak at seven games. The soft-throwing 26-year-old now owns a 4.14 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 103:29 K/BB ratio over 150 innings (26 starts). He'll take on the Giants at home in his next turn.

Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took a no-decision on Wednesday when he allowed two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts over six innings in a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves. Senzatela just continues to quietly roll through the final two months of the season. He's now put up seven straight quality starts and has been on quite a tear, posting a 2.60 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 29:7 K/BB ratio over that seven-game span. He's been in play as a streamer and should continue to be in his next turn against the Dodgers. Overall, the 26-year-old has a 4.06 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 100:29 K/BB ratio over 144 innings (25 starts).

Fri Sep 10 202100:29Antonio Senzatela Picks Up Sixth Straight Quality Start
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts over six innings in a 4-3 win over the Phillies. Senzatela came into this game having picked up a quality start in five straight contests and did not disappoint. He got off to a bit of a shaky start, serving up a solo homer to Bryce Harper in the first inning, but he was able to settle down after that. He only punched out three batters but scattered just four hits and a pair of walks over his six innings. He's now working with a 4.11 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 93:29 K/BB ratio over 138 innings (24 starts). He faces a tough Braves lineup on the road in his next turn.

Sat Sep 4 202100:35Antonio Senzatela Earns Another Quality Start
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela earned the win on Friday when he allowed three runs on six hits with three strikeouts over seven innings in a 4-3 win over the Atlanta Braves. This was yet another solid outing for Senzatela, who's now reeled off five straight quality starts. He only struck out three batters during the game but did his best to hold down Atlanta's potent offense. The stellar effort lowered his ERA to 4.16 with a 1.31 WHIP and 90:27 K/BB ratio over 132 innings (23 starts) on the season. He doesn't strike out a ton of batters; he has just 19 punchouts over his last 33 innings, but he's been on a nice little run here. He'll look to keep it going in his next turn against the Giants at home.

Sun Aug 29 202120:59Antonio Senzatela Dominates The Dodgers On Sunday
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela earned the win on Sunday when he allowed just two hits with one walk and five strikeouts over seven innings in a 5-0 win over the Dodgers. This was one of the better starts of Senzatela's entire career as the Dodgers had no answer for him. He didn't allow a base runner over the first four innings and needed just 90 pitches--56 strikes--to get through his outing. He's now reeled off four straight quality starts and has earned six over his last seven games. He'll carry a 4.18 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 87:27 K/BB ratio over 125 innings (22 starts). He gets the Braves at home in his next turn and while he's still hard to trust as a fantasy starter, it's hard to deny the recent run that he's been on.

Mon Aug 23 202123:31Antonio Senzatela Earns A Quality Start On Monday
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took a no-decision on Monday when he allowed one run on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts over six innings in a 6-4 loss to the Cubs. Senzatela was sharp on Monday and was in line for the win until the Rockies' bullpen melted down after he exited the ball game. He didn't surrender a run until the sixth inning when David Bote grounded into a double play put one on the board. The 26-year-old has now put up three straight quality starts and has lowered his season ERA to 4.42 to go along with a 1.39 WHIP and 82:26 K/BB ratio over 118 innings (21 starts). He gets the Dodgers at home in his next turn but is still hard to trust for fantasy purposes given his inability to miss bats on a consistent basis.

Tue Aug 17 202100:27Antonio Senzatela Pitches Well In No-Decision
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela allowed two runs on six hits with one walk and two strikeouts over seven innings in a 6-5 win over the Padres on Monday. Senzatela put up one of his better starts of the season on Monday, holding down the powerful Padres lineup over his seven innings of work. One run came via a passed ball and the other came off a Manny Machado single in the sixth inning. The 26-year-old hurler has notched a quality start in 4-of-5 games, lowering his ERA to a still underwhelming 4.58 to go along with a 1.40 WHIP and 76:24 K/BB ratio over 112 innings (20 starts). He'll get the D-Backs at home in his next turn but isn't worth streaming due to his low strikeout upside.

Wed Aug 11 202123:09Antonio Senzatela Takes Ninth Loss Of The Season
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took the loss on Wednesday when he surrendered three runs on nine hits with one walk and three strikeouts over six innings in a 5-1 loss to the Astros. Houston hit Senzatela all over the ballpark in Wednesday's start. Aledmys Diaz notched a pair of RBI singles in the first and third innings before Martin Maldonado drove in the third run against Senzatela in the sixth inning. Colorado was able to score just one run so the three earned runs were enough to give Senzatela the loss. The underwhelming 26-year-old now owns a 2-9 record, 4.71 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 74:25 K/BB ratio over 105 innings (19 starts). He'll get the Padres at home in his next start but shouldn't be streamed in that one.

Fri Aug 6 202110:06Antonio Senzatela Surrenders Four Runs In No-Decision
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela took a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed four runs on seven hits with six strikeouts and a walk over 4 2/3 innings in a 6-5 win over the Cubs. Senzatela was placed on the COVID-19 injured list back in mid-July and was making his start in a game since then. Colorado spotted him four runs and he was in firm control through the first four innings of the ball game. He fell apart in the fifth inning, though, as he surrendered all four runs with a pair of RBI singles and a double. Colorado ended up winning the ball game and Senzatela was handed a no-decision. He'll carry a 4.73 and 1.41 with 71 strikeouts over 99 innings (18 starts) into his next turn against the Astros on the road. He should be avoided as a streamer in that contest.

Thu Aug 5 202113:46Antonio Senzatela Activated From IL, Starting Thursday
Colorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela (COVID-19) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list on Thursday and will start the series finale with the Cubs, the team announced on Twitter. Senzatela was placed on the injured list in mid-July, but has now passed the protocols to return to action. Over 17 starts this season, Senzatela is 2-8 with a 4.58 ERA, 1.399 WHIP and 15.7 percent strikeout rate over 94 1/3 innings of work. This could be a decent matchup in fantasy for Senzatela, as he's pitched better at Coors Field this year (3.75 ERA, 1.217 WHIP) than on the road (6.03 ERA, 1.718 WHIP). On top of that, the Cubs are slashing .234/.286/.387 over four games since the trade deadline. Managers in deeper formats will want to consider using him as a streaming option today.

A look at what's happening around the majors today: SHORT STORY The first-place Mets are waiting for news on Francisco Lindor, who left Friday night's heated 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh with soreness on his right side. Wed Jun 9 202101:55Pirates' Hayes misses 1B on homer, Dodgers beat Bucs 5-3
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Ke’Bryan Hayes hastily missed first base and was called out after hitting a first-inning homer, sending Walker Buehler on his way to seven scoreless innings as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-3 Tuesday night. The Pirates star rookie stung an opposite-field line drive in the first inning against Buehler that narrowly cleared the right-field wall, just inside the foul pole. Running hard and with his eyes on the ball, Hayes missed touching first base with his left foot by two or three inches and kept on going. Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts challenged, and umpires overturned the call after a short video review. Buehler (5-0) retired his last 13 batters and had two hits to raise his career batting average to .124. He allowed two hits, struck out two and walked one while throwing 93 pitches. Pirates rookie JT Brubaker (4-5) shut out the Dodgers through four innings but did not make it out of the fifth, when Los Angeles scored three times. Kenley Jansen... [More]
