Williams' rights were acquired by the Pelicans on Thursday, NBA.com reports.

Williams was the first player to dismiss the college route after high school and play in the NBA's D-League before he was drafted 48th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft. Currently, the 25-year-old forward plays for Bilbao Basket of the ACB, averaging 7.5 points (on 66 percent shooting), 5.9 rebounds, and 0.7 steals in 19 minutes.
