Wed Mar 30 201117:14Will Bynum (personal) to miss Wednesday game
Will Bynum will miss Wednesday's game against Indiana due to family concerns.
Bynum's minutes have been spotty over the past month anyway. Bynum's absence only means more minutes for Rodney Stuckey.

Sun Mar 20 201116:40Will Bynum receives a DNP-CD
Will Bynum received a dreaded DNP-CD on Sunday.
The Piston rotation merry-go-round continues. About a month ago it was looking like Bynum's stock was on the rise in Detroit. Now he's firmly in the tank.

Thu Mar 3 201100:16Bynum's value sapped as Stuckey back at PG
Will Bynum, much like Tracy McGrady, has seen his value take an extreme hit for John Kuester as he has played 16 minutes or less in his last two games.
Rodney Stuckey is on fire and apparently is the team's starting point guard again. Unless things change quickly, Bynum has no value. Drop him.

Wed Mar 2 201101:55Bynum (personal) gets four 1st half fouls
Will Bynum (personal) played on Tuesday, but had four fouls coming off the bench in the first half and finished with four points on 2-of-7 shooting with three assists and a steal.
He'll be better than this on most nights and, like everybody, has a shot whenever John Kuester consults with the magic 8-ball in his hotel room. For now, however, he should remain on waivers until he shows us something.

Mon Feb 28 201112:37Will Bynum excused for family issue
Will Bynum was excused from Monday's practice due to a personal issue.
Bynum had to attend to a family matter and his status for Tuesday's game is unclear at this point. With Rodney Stuckey back in action his brief stint as a starter has already ended, and his role will dwindle further once T-Mac returns.

Sat Feb 26 201122:58Bynum comes off bench for short-handed DET
Will Bynum came off the bench, as Rodney Stuckey started at point guard for Tracy McGrady, and had 11 points, eight assists and four steals.
We're mildly surprised that Bynum didn't start at point guard, but Stuckey got the call. Bynum is playing very well and with Tracy McGrady in John Kuester's doghouse (and ill), Bynum could start getting consistent burn. If you're desperate for a PG, he's worth a look, but will take a hit if T-Mac ends up back in the starting five.
Sat Feb 26 201100:41Will Bynum posts 29-5-6 line in DET debacle
Will Bynum was one of six players to play in Friday's game after multiple players staged alleged protests against coach John Kuester by not attending shootaround, and finished with a monster 29 points on 12-of-24 shooting (including a three), five rebounds, six assists, and a steal in 48 minutes.
To say it's a mess in Detroit doesn't do it any justice, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Kuester fired and the players that were seen laughing when Kuester was ejected during the game given some sort of reprimand. As for Bynum, Ben Gordon, Greg Monroe, DeJuan Summers, Charlie Villanueva (who re-tweeted a negative comment about his coach on Twitter a few days ago), and Jason Maxiell -- owners should simply know they're not in hot water due to this incident. Beyond that, it's anybody's guess who emerges with fantasy value. Our recommendation is to avoid doing anything rash, and not put much stock in what you see here tonight.

Wed Feb 23 201100:45Bynum scores 21 points off the bench on Tue
Will Bynum scored 21 points off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 9-of-14 shots from the field (including a three) with two rebounds and six assists in 22 minutes.
John Kuester went with the second-unit down the stretch of a close game, and part of that was due to Bynum hitting his shots. Unfortunately, Kuester is unpredictable from game-to-game and Bynum is the clear backup to Tracy McGrady, who also was good tonight. Unless you're in a deep format, Bynum belongs on the wire.
Mon Feb 14 201122:57Bynum plays 20 minutes as backup
Will Bynum played 21 minutes as the backup PG on Monday, scoring eight points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, seven assists, and three steals.
As it stands, he is the clear backup to Tracy McGrady (27 minutes), and this could very easily be the minute-distribution going forward. Bynum belongs on waiver wires going forward.
Sat Feb 12 201102:02Bynum slows down after torrid week
Will Bynum slowed his roll as the Pistons looked like chopped liver against the Heat on Friday, scoring just six points on 1-of-4 shooting with one rebound, five assists, and two blocks in 20 minutes.
Owners may be wise to forget this box score, as the second unit started the second half with the Pistons down by 20 points, and nobody was particularly good. Bynum probably lost momentum in his attempt to gain on Tracy McGrady, who logged 28 minutes despite the game being out of hand.
Fri Feb 11 201120:19Pistons shake up lineup down by 14 at half
The Pistons shook up their lineup after falling behind by 14 points to Miami at halftime of Friday's game, starting Will Bynum, Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva, Austin Daye, and Chris Wilcox.
This should both marginalize the changes, while simultaneously bringing the possibility of change to the forefront for the Pistons. Add into the mix the fact that Miami plays a small lineup, and there will be equal parts uncertainty and opportunity bred out of this second half.
Wed Feb 9 201123:05Will Bynum heating up for Pistons
With Tracy McGrady possibly running out of gas, Will Bynum is heating up, scoring 17 points and handing out seven assists off the bench on Wednesday.
He had 21 points on Tuesday, while T-Mac struggled for the second straight night. Bynum wasn't playing well enough early in season to be given fantasy consideration, but if McGrady's legs are bothering him, he could quickly become relevant. Keep a close eye on him, as Rodney Stuckey is now playing shooting guard for Detroit.
Tue Feb 8 201123:32Will Bynum scores 21 points off the bench
Will Bynum scored 21 points off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 9-of-13 shooting with no rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 24 minutes.
These numbers look great, but they're not necessarily an indicator that Bynum will have earned an increased role. It's always been known that he can fill it up, though Tracy McGrady's owners should watch closely to see if John Kuester decides to keep this up.
Wed Jan 26 201123:43Will Bynum heats up late, scores 19
Will Bynum scored at least 14 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter Wednesday and added four rebounds and four assists in a loss to the Nuggets.
This is important because Rodney Stuckey left this game with a painful shoulder injury. Bynum has been pretty awful this year, but looked good tonight on 8-of-12 shooting. If Stuckey's going to miss time, Bynum or Ben Gordon could start at shooting guard. If it's Bynum, think about grabbing him.
Sun Jan 16 201101:37Bynum scores 18 points, gets key block
Will Bynum scored 18 points off the bench and had a key block late in Saturday's win over the Kings, hitting 5-of-9 shots from the field (8-of-9 from the foul line) with two rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block in 26 minutes.
John Kuester decided to screw with Rodney Stuckey's minutes tonight, and like usual, there's no real telling what he was thinking. For Bynum's part he answered the call, but he needs to do this a few more times before we think about adding him in most formats.
Sun Dec 19 201021:47Will Bynum scores 21 pts off DET bench
Pistons guard Will Bynum stepped up in a big way on Sunday, notching 21 points (8-of-10 FGs) and nine assists off the bench in 37 minutes.
Bynum made a tough layup with 7.4 seconds left to help Detroit earn their ninth victory of the season in dramatic fashion. He played 37 minutes, easily a season-high, due to the absence of both Rip Hamilton and Rodney Stuckey -- he's worth an add in deep leagues but his value may not last.
Mon Dec 6 201009:24Will Bynum dropped from DET rotation
Pistons guard Will Bynum was dropped from the rotation on Sunday for the second game in a row.
Detroit has a surplus of guards, and Bynum is simply the odd man out right now. He shouldn't be owned in any leagues, though he can be effective when given enough playing time.
Fri Nov 5 201018:20Bynum (hamstring) to play on Friday
Will Bynum (hamstring) will play on Friday against the Bobcats.
Coach John Kuester will not commit to whether or not Rodney Stuckey will play, but it would still take an amazing leap of faith to play Bynum, who hasn't seen the court in weeks. The deeper your format gets, the better the speculative play looks, but make no mistake it's a risk no matter what.
