Fri Dec 27 201321:29Will Bynum plays 20 minutes, scores 18
Will Bynum scored 18 points off the bench against the Magic on Friday to go with two boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 20 minutes.
He stepped up with Rodney Stuckey (shoulder) going down and is a good bet to pick up most of the slack should Stuckey have to miss time. Bynum has been dealing with a hamstring issue for most of the season, so the Pistons probably aren't quite ready to give him big minutes. He's only worth a look as a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Tue Dec 17 201300:12Will Bynum plays 11 minutes vs. Indy
Will Bynum (hamstring) returned to the lineup to face the Pacers on Monday, finishing with seven points, four boards and one assist in 11 minutes.
He was expected to return to the lineup on Sunday and the Pistons waited until tonight to bring him back. Bynum might have a tough time getting minutes on nights when Chauncey Billups (rest) plays due to coach Mo Cheeks saying he doesn't want to use more than four guards in his backcourt rotation.

Sun Dec 15 201316:33Will Bynum (hamstring) to return on Sunday
Will Bynum (hamstring) will return to the lineup on Sunday to face the Blazers.
He's missed nine games in a row and a total of 14 on the season due to his bum hamstring. Brandon Jennings has been terrific so far and Bynum might not see double-digit minutes tonight.

Fri Dec 13 201318:05Will Bynum (hamstring) is still out
Will Bynum (hamstring) is inactive for Friday's game against the Nets.
He was expected to miss about a week dating back to Dec. 10, so this news is not a surprise. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will continue to start at shooting guard with Rodney Stuckey acting as the team's sixth man.

Tue Dec 10 201311:42Will Bynum (hamstring) a week from returning
Will Bynum (hamstring) is reportedly about a week away from returning to the court.
Even when healthy, Bynum has put together a lackluster 2013-14 season so far fantasy-wise. His averages of 8.3 points and 3.1 steals per game can be helpful in deep leagues, but Chauncey Billups' return won't help Bynumn's situation when he returns so owners in the majority of fantasy leagues don't need to monitor this situation closely.

Fri Nov 29 201318:00Will Bynum out again on Friday night
Will Bynum (hamstring) will not play against the Lakers on Friday night and is scheduled to get an MRI.
His hamstring injury has already cost him seven games and he has aggravated it again. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will get another start while Rodney Stuckey attempts to keep up his hot streak against the Lakers. Bynum isn't worth owning in almost any league.

Mon Nov 25 201318:40Will Bynum will return on Monday vs. MIL
Will Bynum (hamstring, groin) will return to the lineup on Monday night.
He was barely part of the rotation and the main thing to be watching tonight is if Bynum will take any minutes away from rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Bynum isn't worth owning in the vast majority of leagues while Brandon Jennings is active.

Mon Nov 25 201318:06Will Bynum can return on Monday
Will Bynum (hamstring) is questionable to play on Monday.
He's missed five games with his groin and hamstring issues, and this would be his first game back since Nov. 15. Bynum was playing less than 20 minutes with Brandon Jennings back, so there's very little reason to pick him up.

Wed Nov 20 201319:24Will Bynum and Charlie Villanueva out
Will Bynum and Charlie Villanueva will not play on Wednesday.
Bynum missed two games with his groin and hamstring issues and is just day-to-day. His absence has created some playing time for rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Bynum's return could give coach Mo Cheeks a decision in how he wants to handle his backcourt minutes.

Tue Nov 19 201318:13Will Bynum, Chauncey Billups both out Tuesday
Will Bynum (groin, hamstring) and Chauncey Billups (knee) will not play on Tuesday.
Both of Detroit's veteran guards are day-to-day. As usual, their absence means extra playing time for Brandon Jennings, Rodney Stuckey and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Sun Nov 17 201320:13Will Bynum out Sun. w/ sore groin, hamstring
Will Bynum will not play on Sunday due to a sore groin and left hamstring.
Chauncey Billups is also out on Sunday, which leaves plenty of opportunities for Brandon Jennings, Rodney Stuckey and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Consider Bynum questionable to return vs. the Knicks on Tuesday.

Wed Nov 13 201302:57Will Bynum piles up stats in garbage time
Will Bynum came off the bench for 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals, hitting 4-of-8 shots and 6-of-10 free throws in just 21 minutes on Tuesday.
Brandon Jennings and Chauncey Billups weren't used in the second half of the blowout loss, so Mo Cheeks turned Bynum loose. As long as Jennings and Rodney Stuckey are healthy, nights like this will be few and far between for Bynum.

Sat Nov 2 201301:59Bynum scores 18 points with six assists
Will Bynum scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds and six assists in another start at shooting guard on Friday.
Bynum is going to take a hit when Brandon Jennings returns as soon as Sunday, so if you're staring down a hot free agent don't hesitate to make the move.

Fri Nov 1 201313:38Will Bynum likely to start again Friday
With Rodney Stuckey slated to come off the bench on Friday, Will Bynum and Chauncey Billups will get another start tonight.
He was solid in his first game and should play well again tonight, although the presence of Stuckey will eat into some of his minutes. This may be the last hurrah for Bynum, with Stuckey back and Brandon Jennings targeting a Sunday return.

Thu Oct 31 201300:13Will Bynum scores 19 in start for Pistons
Will Bynum started at point guard on Wednesday and hit 7-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 19 points, five assists, two steals and a block.
With both Brandon Jennings and Rodney Stuckey sidelined, Bynum was turned loose tonight. We expect his run to be short lived, as Jennings and Stuckey should send him back to the bench once they're healthy and ready to go.

Wed Oct 30 201311:20Will Bynum, Chauncey Billups to start for DET
Will Bynum and Chauncey Billups will start in the Pistons' backcourt for Wednesday's season opener.
Brandon Jennings (mouth) is out and Rodney Stuckey (finger) may be a game-time decision, so Mo Cheeks will roll with his two healthy veterans. Rookies Peyton Siva and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will round out the backcourt rotation if Stuckey isn't able to suit up.

Mon Oct 21 201313:32Will Bynum (illness) practices on Monday
Will Bynum (food poisoning) rejoined the Pistons for Monday's practice.
Detroit's plethora of ailing guards forced Peyton Siva to log 47 minutes this weekend, and Bynum will have a hefty role until Brandon Jennings (mouth) and Rodney Stuckey (finger) return to action.

Thu Oct 17 201322:16Will Bynum hits a couple 3-pointers
Will Bynum was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc on Thursday, scoring 12 points with one rebound, three assists and one steal in 30 minutes.
He figures to get the start at point guard on opening night with Brandon Jennings' strange wisdom tooth injury likely to force him to miss a couple games. If you're in a deeper league and are looking for a couple nice lines to start the season, Bynum is worth a look.

Thu Oct 10 201322:28Will Bynum plays 47 minutes, scores 28 points
Will Bynum was busy on Thursday night, playing 47 minutes while scoring a team-high 28 points with four boards, six assists and one 3-pointer against the Heat.
The Pistons were without Rodney Stuckey, Brandon Jennings and Chauncey Billups, so Bynum almost picked up the slack by himself. With Rodney Stuckey out indefinitely, Bynum could get more than 24 minutes per game off the bench. He's someone to consider for owners that didn't draft enough assists.
