Thu Oct 10 201310:00Will Bynum likely out of Pistons rotation
Guard Will Bynum will likely not be a part of the Pistons rotation this season.
He'll be stuck behind Brandon Jennings, Rodney Stuckey, Chauncey Billups and rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and would only become relevant if the Pistons have injury woes. Bynum missed Tuesday's game with a hip injury, but was able to return to practice on Wednesday.

Wed Oct 9 201313:37Will Bynum out Tuesday w/ minor hip injury
Will Bynum sat out Tuesday's game due to a minor hip injury.
He hurt himself during Monday's practice and was held out as a precaution. Bynum averaged 9.8 points, 0.4 triples, 3.6 assists and 0.7 steals last season, numbers which he'd be lucky to duplicate in Detroit's deep backcourt in 2013-14.

Tue Jul 16 201310:10Will Bynum expects more alley-oops with DET
Will Bynum said that the Pistons will be throwing more alley-oops this upcoming season
"We got a lot of horses, athletes here now," Bynum said. "I'm sure it will be more than just Andre [Drummond] catching a lot of lobs this year." This isn't really a big story, but it's just another reason why the Pistons could be a fun team to watch this year. Bynum agreed to a two-year deal with Detroit earlier this month and will see minutes off the bench behind Brandon Knight.

Tue Jul 9 201301:29Report: Will Bynum staying in Detroit
Free agent guard Will Bynum will agree to a two-year, $5.75 million deal to stay with the Pistons.
Bynum could see his name called at some point in a shallow backcourt including the inconsistent Brandon Knight, rookie SG Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and enigmatic Rodney Stuckey. As usual, good luck figuring out when that will happen.

Mon Jul 8 201312:07Pistons make an offer to Will Bynum
The Pistons have made an offer to Will Bynum, Jared Zwerling reports.
Detroit wasn't able to keep Jose Calderon and they really don't have much backcourt depth even with their two rookies Peyton Siva and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Bynum would back up Brandon Knight at the point and should see a comparable amount of playing time to his 18.8 minutes per game last season.

Fri Jun 14 201308:49Report: Pacers, Sixers also like Will Bynum
In addition to the Lakers and Knicks, the Pacers and Sixers are also potential suitors for Will Bynum.
Bynum won't have a shortage of options as a change of pace point guard in free agency, but far too early to speculate on his final landing spot. It appears very likely that Bynum will move on from the Pistons.

Thu Jun 13 201317:36Knicks, Lakers reportedly eyeing Will Bynum
The Knicks and Lakers are expressing interest in Will Bynum, according to Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.
Both clubs are in desperate need of youth and scoring in the backcourt and Bynum represents exactly that. The pending free agent averaged 9.8 points and 3.6 assists in less than 19 minutes per game this season. He's stated a desire to return to the Pistons but a hefty raise could convince him to leave Detroit. It should be noted that either team's interest in Bynum could change depending on how the draft plays out and any report before then should be taken with a large grain of salt. Bynum's also been linked to the Wizards as a backup to John Wall.

Tue May 14 201314:37Will Bynum a fit for the Wizards?
CSN Washington suggests free agent Will Bynum as a possible fit for the Wizards.
Bynum is an interesting free agent because of his natural scoring ability. Despite getting just 18.8 minutes per game this season, he averaged 9.8 points and 3.6 assists. Incumbent Wizards backup point guard A.J. Price is a free agent, and so is combo guard Garrett Temple.

Wed Apr 17 201308:01Will Bynum hoping to re-sign with Pistons
Will Bynum said it's his preference to re-sign with the Pistons.
"I want to stay," he said. "My daughter is in school here, and she's comfortable. This is where I want to be." Bynum did say he intends to test the market, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him walk given the Pistons reported interest in re-signing Jose Calderon.

Mon Apr 15 201323:51Will Bynum scores 22 points off the bench
Will Bynum provided a spark off the bench on Monday during a 109-101 win over the Sixers, scoring 22 points with three boards, six assists and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
He averaged 15.5 points in his previous two games, so this line wasn't entirely unexpected. Jose Calderon could be out again on Wednesday, which would make Bynum a plausible option for owners needing a point guard.

Wed Apr 10 201323:06Will Bynum scores 16 in Pistons win
Will Bynum came off the bench for 16 points, three assists and two 3-pointers on 7-of-10 shooting in Wednesday's win.
Brandon Knight started and played 35 minutes, but hit just 2-of-11 shots for seven points. Bynum had been struggling to produce and with injuries, but looked better tonight. Maybe he's about to heat up for the Pistons, who are currently without Jose Calderon (arm).

Sun Apr 7 201322:27Will Bynum (hand) back after six-game absence
Will Bynum returned on Sunday after missing six games with a hand injury, coming off the bench for four points, two rebounds and five assists.
Jose Calderon (arm) sat out again tonight, which opened things up in the backcourt, and Bynum wound up logging 17 minutes. There's no reason to think he'll have fantasy value in Detroit's upcoming two-game week.

Sun Apr 7 201318:33Will Bynum back in the lineup on Sunday
Will Bynum (hand) is back in the lineup to face the Bulls on Sunday.
He missed six games with his injured left hand. The Pistons handled him in a curious manner since he was playing through the injury for a while, then the team opted to give him an MRI and an X-ray as a precaution. Bynum should be busy tonight with Jose Calderon (arm) out and could play 24 minutes.

Will Bynum (hand) will not play on Wednesday against the Celtics.

Sun Mar 31 201318:10Will Bynum (hand) will not play vs. Chicago
Will Bynum (hand) will not play against the Bulls on Sunday.
The Pistons gave him a battery of tests to check on his hand and they're going to allow it to heal a little while longer. Rodney Stuckey hasn't capitalized on Bynum being out and perhaps he'll have more success tonight. Kyle Singler also benefits sans Bynum.

Thu Mar 28 201317:51Will Bynum won't play Friday against Raptors
Will Bynum (hand) will not play against the Raptors on Friday.
Bynum was recently ruled out for the "near future," although it remains to be seen exactly what that means. Bynum's quote about playing "with one hand," however, certainly doesn't make things sound good. After Friday's game, the Pistons are off until Sunday, but it's unclear what Bynum's status is for that one. Rodney Stuckey should eat up a chunk of Bynum's minutes Friday night.

Wed Mar 27 201310:19Will Bynum sidelined for the near future
Will Bynum (hand) will be sidelined for the "near future."
The Pistons are off until Friday against the Raptors, so it's not clear if Bynum will be ready to go for that one or if he's looking at a lengthier absence than just a few more days. However, Bynum isn't dismissing the idea he won't play again this season, so we're considering him questionable at best for Friday. "I was basically playing with one hand," he said. While Bynum is out, Rodney Stuckey will play an increased role off the bench.

Mon Mar 25 201309:10Will Bynum could be shut down for the season
Will Bynum (hand) could be shut down for the season if his injury doesn't improve.
"Every time I get hit, it stings for 30 seconds," he said. Bynum has been playing with the pain since January, and the possibility for him to be shut down is very real. If he is shut down, Rodney Stuckey would step into a bigger role behind Jose Calderon and Brandon Knight.

Sat Mar 23 201322:27Will Bynum leaves w/ hand injury, MRI coming
X-rays on Will Bynum's right hand came back negative, but he didn't play in the second half on Saturday and he is scheduled to have an MRI.
Bynum, who finished scoreless in six minutes, has been bothered by a sore right hand for the past two months. His streak of games with double-digit points already screeched to a halt on Friday, and Brandon Knight's return is a compelling reason to cut Bynum regardless of his MRI results.

Sat Mar 23 201318:49X-rays negative on Will Bynum's hand
X-rays were negative on Will Bynum's left hand on Saturday and he will get an MRI on Sunday.
The fact that the Pistons are now going to conduct an MRI certainly raises our curiousity and Bynum's hand must really be bothering him. If you're on the fence on cutting him in deeper leagues, it makes sense especially with Brandon Knight coming back. Rodney Stuckey and Kyle Singler would see more time should Bynum need to miss games.
