Sat Mar 23 201317:54Will Bynum will have an X-ray on hand
Will Bynum will have a precautionary X-ray on his left hand on Saturday.
He hurt his hand way back in January and has been playing through the pain, but the team opting to give him an MRI suggests his pain has been worse. We'll pass along the results of the X-ray, but there's no fantasy impact of this news just yet.

Tue Mar 19 201300:13Will Bynum scores 18 points vs. Brooklyn
Will Bynum started the second half for Jose Calderon (flu-like symptoms) and had 18 points, five boards, six assists and one steal in 30 minutes.
He's coming off an impressive 23-point game on Saturday and has been turning it up a notch with Brandon Knight out of the lineup. Detroit is off until Friday, which means Brandon Knight and Jose Calderon could make it back. Calderon is a near lock, but Bynum is still worth a look in standard leagues even with a sub-par schedule the rest of the way.

Mon Mar 18 201321:03Will Bynum starts the second half on Monday
Will Bynum started the second half of Monday's game with Jose Calderon leaving due to flu-like symptoms.
The Pistons don't play until Friday and it seems incredibly unlikely that Calderon would miss that game due to the flu. Owners should plan accordingly.

Sun Mar 17 201301:00Will Bynum goes off for 23 points sans Knight
Will Bynum took advantage of Brandon Knight's continued absence on Saturday, scoring 23 points with four assists and one steal in 28 minutes vs. the Blazers.
Bynum hit 10-of-14 FGs as the team's sixth-man, playing so well with Rodney Stuckey (32 points) that starting PG Jose Calderon finished with just 13 points and five assists in 24 minutes. The bad news is that Knight could return as soon as Monday against the Nets, which would disrupt Bynum's surge of four straight games with 10+ points.

Thu Mar 14 201302:26Will Bynum plays well off Pistons bench
Will Bynum had 16 points, four assists and three steals in 28 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
He's going to see extra minutes as long as Brandon Knight is out with his ankle injury, but Rodney Stuckey, who started tonight, is the better pickup.

Will Bynum scored 12 points off the bench on Monday in 19 minutes with Brandon Knight (ankle) mostly out.
Bynum hit 4-of-11 shots and added just one assist to his stat line, and owners will want to watch and see if he can carve out a consistent role in 12-14 team formats with Knight set to miss some time.

Wed Feb 27 201322:05Will Bynum returns from suspension vs. WAS
Will Bynum had an off night in his return from a one-game suspension with two points, three assists and two turnovers on 1-of-7 shooting in 14 minutes on Wednesday.
The Detroit bench had some major issues vs. the Wizards and they almost blew a big lead. Bynum doesn't really have much promise with Jose Calderon a more than capable ball handler and the Pistons getting all of their backcourt healthy. Rodney Stuckey score two points in 20 minutes and has very little value.

Will Bynum will return from his one-game suspension on Wednesday.
This is just a reminder to fantasy owners that he'll be back in the mix and will eat into the production of Jose Calderon and Rodney Stuckey.

Sun Feb 24 201320:09NBA suspends Will Bynum for Monday's game
The league has suspended Will Bynum for one game after Bynum hit Tyler Hansbrough in the stomach during Saturday's game.
Bynum was ejected after the play on Saturday and we assumed the league would review it, so this isn't a total surprise. He'll sit out Monday's game vs. the Hawks, and with Brandon Knight (knee) also iffy we should see heavy minutes for Jose Calderon, Rodney Stuckey, and possibly Kim English.

Sat Feb 23 201323:32Will Bynum ejected after Flagrant-2 foul
Will Bynum was ejected from Saturday's game after committing a Flagrant-2 foul on Tyler Hansbrough.
Bynum came at Hansbrough and seemed to hit him below the belt with a closed hand, so there's always a chance that the NBA will deem it worthy of further punishment. He finished the game with 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 15 minutes.

Will Bynum had eight points, seven assists and a steal on 4-of-9 shooting in 27 minutes on Wednesday.
Brandon Knight left this one with a knee injury and if he's going to be sidelined for long, Bynum will be worth grabbing in some deeper leagues. Stay tuned.

Tue Feb 19 201323:19Will Bynum quiet in Tuesday's loss
Will Bynum, who had 20 points and eight assists in 21 minutes in his previous game, had five points, two assists and two steals on 2-of-7 shooting on Tuesday.
His minutes have been too limited off the bench for him to offer much consistency, making him very frustrating to own. And that's the reason he's likely available in your league.

Thu Feb 14 201300:35Will Bynum blows up for 20 & 8 in win
Will Bynum came off the bench and blew up for 20 points and eight assists on 8-of-12 shooting in 21 minutes on Wednesday.
Jose Calderon was great tonight, but Rodney Stuckey disappeared, allowing Bynum to go off. He scored two points on Monday and was beginning to cool off after a hot run early in the month, and tonight's game puts him back on the fantasy radar.

Fri Feb 8 201314:58Sheridan: Will Bynum is likely to be dealt
Veteran NBA reporter Chris Sherdian considers Will Bynum the player most likely to be dealt at the Feb. 21 trade deadline.
The rebuilding Pistons don't have much need for Bynum, who will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. He'd be an explosive bench option for a contender such as the Thunder. Despite getting just 18.0 minutes per game this season, Bynum is averaging 9.1 points and 3.7 assists.

Sun Feb 3 201315:56Will Bynum has 18 & 10 off DET bench
Will Bynum came off the Pistons' bench for 18 points, 10 assists and one steal vs. the Lakers, making 9-of-18 FGs in 29 minutes.
Rodney Stuckey was limited by foul trouble and Jose Calderon wasn't available due to visa issues, which makes this performance feel like an isolated incident. The backcourt is simply too crowded to expect reliable value from Bynum, who hadn't had a single steal in his previous six games.

Sat Feb 2 201300:55Bynum scores 11 points with eight assists
Will Bynum scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting with eight assists in 16 minutes off the bench on Friday.
With Jose Calderon about to jump in the mix these types of outbursts will be less frequent. Bynum can be watched from the wire in most formats.

Sun Jan 27 201321:10Will Bynum goes for 9 & 12 in win
Will Bynum came off the bench and had nine points and 12 assists on 3-of-7 shooting in 20 minutes on Sunday.
Kyle Singler started at shooting guard, as usual, but Bynum stepped up off the bench on a night that saw Brandon Knight score a career-high 31 points, but not hand out a single assist. After today's game Bynum is averaging 12 points and five assists over his last five games, making him worth a deep-league look, despite coming off the bench. The 12 dimes were a season high, and most he's had in a game since he somehow went for 20 assists in a game back in 2010.

Tue Jan 22 201322:58Will Bynum scores 15 points with six dimes
Will Bynum scored 15 points with four rebounds, six assists and one block in 26 minutes against the Magic on Tuesday.
He has strung together some games with an average of 16.3 points and 5.0 assists in his last four contests. Garbage time was a bit of a factor in this game and Rodney Stuckey also suffered an apparent mild ankle sprain late in the fourth quarter. If Stuckey's ankle injury turns out to be an issue, Bynum makes sense as a pickup in some deeper formats.

Thu Jan 17 201318:20Will Bynum shoots the lights out in London
Will Bynum scored 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range, in Thursday's game at the O2 Arena in London.
Bynum also chipped in four assists, two rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes -- a nice line for the Pistons' sparkplug guard. The 22 points were Bynum's biggest output since he scored 25 against the Heat on Dec. 28. A lot of his output Thursday came during a 7-0 run fueled exclusively by Bynum that got the Pistons within shouting distance of the Knicks in the second half before New York eventually pulled away.
