Turiaf will not play in Wednesday's season opener versus the Grizzlies due to a sore right hip.
Turiaf and rookie Glenn Robinson will both be inactive for Wednesday's opening contest. Although it's unclear how long Turiaf's hip ailment will prevent him from being available, his absence should allow Anthony Bennett and Gorgui Dieng to see more minutes in the Wolves' frontcourt.

Turiaf scored two points with three rebounds in six minutes in Friday's preseaon win over Chicago.
With Minnesota using it's regular lineup, minus injured Andrew Wiggins, in the final preseason game, Turiaf's minutes are likely an indicator how he'll be used in the regular season. With an influx of young big men after offseason trades, he'll have a limited role off the bench barring injuries.

Ronny Turiaf played 16 minutes in his return to the lineup on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with eight boards, one steal and three blocks.
He missed Monday due to a knee injury and was very effective in just 16 minutes. Turiaf turned in a better game than Gorgui Dieng, who had four points, seven boards, one assist and two blocks in 28 minutes. He has really struggled to stay healthy, but he's a solid second-unit big man.

Ronny Turiaf exited Sunday's game with soreness in his right knee, finishing scoreless with two rebounds in four minutes.
Turiaf returned earlier in April after missing five weeks with a bone bruise in his right knee, so this is more than your average 'soreness'. The Wolves are playing for pride with two games remaining and there's a good chance that Turiaf is done for the season.

Thu Apr 3 201400:51Ronny Turiaf plays 22 minutes in return
Ronny Turiaf played 22 minutes in his return to the lineup on Wednesday, scoring 11 points with seven boards, two assists and three blocks.
He made all five attempts from the field and didn't look like a guy who has been out since Feb. 19. Turiaf is likely headed to the dreaded timeshare with Gorgui Dieng, so he's more of a low-upside player in deeper leagues.

The veteran big man still has no clear return date, and with Nikola Pekovic back in action Turiaf has no fantasy upside even at full health.

Sun Feb 23 201408:46Ronny Turiaf (knee) out indefinitely
Ronny Turiaf (knee) had an MRI that revealed a right knee bone bruise. He will be sidelined indefinitely.
Turiaf has struggled with injuries throughout his career, so this is just another one he can add to the list. With both Turiaf and Nikola Pekovic (ankle) out Dante Cunningham and Gorgui Dieng should pick up some extra minutes, however most of the burden will fall upon Kevin Love to play heavy minutes.

He has a bone bruise in his right knee and it sounds like it's a very bad one. Turiaf has suffered a lot of serious injuries in his career and it's good news he didn't have another one on Wednesday. Ronny Turiaf has a bone bruise in his right knee and does not have a timetable to return.
If it's just a bone bruise, Turiaf may have escaped a possible severe injury. There is no word on if this diagnosis was confirmed by an MRI, but it does sound like the center will miss some time. Dante Cunningham figures to pick up most of the slack until Nikola Pekovic can return. Gorgui Dieng will also pick up some scraps.

His knee injury on Wednesday night did not look good and he's likely going to have an MRI Thursday or Friday. Turiaf should be considered doubtful for Saturday and the possible return of Nikola Pekovic (ankle) makes him a candidate to cut even before the results of the MRI are known.

Thu Feb 13 201401:31Ronny Turiaf with 11 rebounds, 4 blocks
Ronny Turiaf had 11 rebounds and four blocks on Wednesday, but scored just three points, as usual.
As we've documented, Turiaf is going to be a good source of boards and blocks as long as Nikola Pekovic remains out with an Achilles injury, but should not be be counted on to score more than five points, like, ever.

Tue Feb 4 201423:54Ronny Turiaf finishes with 2 points, 2 blocks
Ronny Turiaf started again at center for the Timberwolves but had just two points, five rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes on Tuesday.
We were hoping for more against his former team (Lakers), but after a hot start to the game, he didn't do much the rest of the way. And given his inability to score points, he's a very low-end option as a fantasy center.

Sat Feb 1 201423:06Ronny Turiaf plays well in Pekovic's absence
Ronny Turiaf had another nice game on Saturday, finishing with five points, seven rebounds and five blocks in a loss to the Hawks.
If you picked him up when Nikola Pekovic went down, things are going well despite his lack of scoring, which was a foregone conclusion. Over his last four games, Turiaf is averaging 7.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.25 blocks. Pekovic is expected to miss a few more games with his right ankle injury, making Turiaf a serviceable play if you can live with the low scoring.

Sat Feb 1 201400:24Ronny Turiaf looks good in start
Ronny Turiaf played well against the Grizzlies on Friday with seven points, 10 boards, two assists, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.
This isn't the greatest fantasy line in the world, but it's somewhat solid. Turiaf has excellent timing as a shot blocker and he should be able to hit around two per game while Nikola Pekovic (Achilles) is out. He's a decent short-term asset in several fantasy formats.

Wed Jan 29 201423:04Ronny Turiaf quiet in start at center
Ronny Turiaf started at center on Wednesday and had four points, eight rebounds and zero blocks on 2-of-5 shooting in 26 minutes.
He had 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks on Monday, making him a popular daily-league play tonight, but he didn't really come through. Nikola Pekovic is going to miss more time with his Achilles injury, so Turiaf should get several more chances to come through as a starter.
