Tue Nov 18 201420:05Larry Sanders: (Thigh) Will Not Play Tuesday
Sanders (thigh) will not play Tuesday against the the Knicks, Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Sanders was scratched just before the start of Tuesday's game, pushing Zaza Pachulia into the starting lineup. It's the first we've heard of the injury, so it's questionable how long it could keep Sanders out for. The Bucks play Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets, so he should be considered questionable for that game.

Sanders was in foul-trouble Saturday, playing just 18 minutes and getting five fouls, but still contributed with four points (2-7 FG), eight rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.
Sanders is averaging just 24 minutes per game this season, in part due to foul trouble and in part due to Jason Kidd's maddening rotations, but is still a valuable fantasy player. He is averaging 8.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 2.1 blocks in those 24 minutes and if he could approach 30 minutes a night, may return to the top 50 value he flashed in 2012-13. As it stands, Sanders is a guy who you need to keep rostered for his defensive abilities.

Sanders provided eight points (4-12 FG, 0-1 FT) with 15 rebounds and four blocks in 27 minutes in the win over the 76ers on Friday.
Sanders has accumulated nine fouls in the first two games, which has limited his playing time. He showed that his rebound/block production from the 2012-13 season has not gone away. He should be able to build on his performance against Philadelphia.

Sanders participated in all of Tuesday's practice and will play Wednesday against Charlotte, CF Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Sanders recently underwent an undisclosed outpatient procedure that caused him to miss a few preseason games, but after a full session Tuesday he'll be ready to go for the season opener, as expected. Coach Jason Kidd yet to release his starting lineup, though Sanders is the heavy favorite to start at center.

Sanders (undisclosed) expects to be ready for Wednesday's season opener against the Hornets, Jim Owczarski of OnMilwaukee.com reports.
Sanders spoke to the media at Monday's team luncheon and stated he anticipates being ready to play Wednesday after missing the final four preseason games. He may require a couple contests to work back into game shape, but the undisclosed outpatient procedure Sanders underwent last Friday doesn't appear to be something that will hamper him during the regular season.

Sanders (undisclosed) participated in some non-contact work on the court during Friday's practice, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The expectation is that Sanders will be ready for the season opener next week despite missing the final four preseason games following a minor procedure. Sanders was playing well in the early portion of the preseason slate and is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2013-14 campaign.

Sanders (undisclosed) participated in his first non-contact practice Friday, Fox Sports Wisconsin's Andrew Gruman reports.
He is still expected to be ready for the season opener, so don't discount him on draft day.
Fri Oct 17 201420:15Larry Sanders: (Undisclosed) Expected To Be Ready For Opener
Sanders' injury does not involve a foot, knee or hand, and he will be ready for the start of the regular season, Bucks announcer Ted Davis reports.
He underwent a minor outpatient surgical procedure Friday, and will miss the remainder of the preseason, but the injury is not expected to linger. Consider Sanders probable for the regular season opener Oct. 29 in Charlotte.
Fri Oct 17 201417:38Larry Sanders: Will Miss Remainder Of Preseason After Minor Surgery
Sanders underwent a minor outpatient surgical procedure Friday and will miss the final three preseason games, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Charles Gardner reports.
This is a bit bothersome, as there's not a specific timetable for his return to the court. However, it seems feasible that he could just be held out for the rest of the preseason and return for the start of the regular season. He had been dealing with a somewhat lengthy illness, and that could have been the reason for the surgery, although it's also unclear what the nature of the procedure was. Continue to monitor Sanders' status as the season approaches, and if he misses any time, look for Zaza Pachulia and John Henson to carry the load at center.

Sanders (illness) will not travel with the Bucks on their upcoming two-game road trip, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Sanders has been dealing with an illness all week, and the team will leave him behind as they travel to Cedar Rapids to face Minnesota on Friday and New York for a matchup with the Knicks on Monday.
Wed Oct 15 201414:39Sanders (illness) held out of Wednesday's practice
Sanders (illness) was held out of Wednesday's practice, Fox Sports Wisconsin's Andrew Gruman reports.
He didn't travel with the team for Tuesday's preseason game in Cleveland, and is apparently still dealing with the illness. However, he will most likely be healthy for the start of the regular season.

Sanders (illness) will not play Tuesday against the Cavs.
Sanders is dealing with a minor illness and will remain in Milwaukee while the team travels to Cleveland. Zaza Pachulia will get the start in Sanders' absence.

Coach Jason Kidd said Monday at the team's media day that Sanders will be one of Milwaukee's leaders, in addition to its defensive anchor, Charles Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Kidd's words all but solidify Sanders as the Bucks' starting center this season. He's clearly the most talented option - Zaza Pachulia projects as the primary backup - but last season's off-the-court woes raised questions about his standing with the team. With those problems now behind him, Sanders enters the season at full health looking to reestablish himself as one of the top defensive centers in the game.
Sun Jul 13 201414:14Kidd thinks Larry Sanders can return to form
Jason Kidd believes that Larry Sanders can return to form following a disastrous 2013-14 campaign.
"Yeah [I think he can bounce back]," Kidd said. "I think it starts with being healthy. Two, he's here working out. When you look at that and being gone for five months, he's here with his teammates. That's the start." Saunders signed a four-year, $44 million contract extension last year after an impressive season in which he established himself as an elite rim protector. However, he followed his breakout season with an injury plagued 2013-14 campaign in which he received a suspension for violating the NBA's anti-drug program and only made it through 23 contests. Sanders probably made a lot of people's "never-again lists" last season, but if he's able to keep his act together, he could be a decent value pick going into next season.

Fri Jul 11 201411:08Larry Sanders (eye, thumb) feeling 'great'
Larry Sanders said that his surgically-repaired thumb and orbital bone both feel "great" and he's been fully cleared for basketball activities.
"I feel good, I feel rested," said Sanders, who has been practicing with the Bucks in recent days. He added that he's having a "great time" with Jason Kidd and the new coaching staff, and it's nice to finally see him healthy after a dreadful 2013-14 season in which he missed 59 games.

Wed Jul 9 201414:57Larry Sanders goes through practice w/ Bucks
Larry Sanders went through practice with the Bucks' summer league team on Wednesday.
He reportedly looked great while out there with the young guys. It's been a long, long time since there was anything positive associated with Sanders, which has led to tremendous trade speculation. The Bucks signed him to a four-year, $44 million deal last summer, so that isn't exactly going swimmingly to this point. He'll look to rebound from a catastrophic 2013-14.

Wed Jun 11 201414:35The Kings interested in Larry Sanders?
The Kings have some interest in acquiring Larry Sanders or Brandon Knight for their eighth pick in the 2014 draft, according to Chad Ford of ESPN.com.
Obviously this is just a rumor, but it would be wise for the Bucks to take a page out of the Sixers' book from last year and deal a starter. Jrue Holiday, a better player than Knight or Sanders, was dealt for the sixth pick in the 2013 draft and the 10th pick this year. The Kings do need a guy to protect the rim to take some pressure off DeMarcus Cousins' fouling issue and Sanders' value is awfully low after a horrific 2013-14. Additionally, news came out this week that Larry Sanders punched Mike Dunleavy back in 2012-13, according to the Journal Times.

Thu May 8 201410:47Mavericks could make play for Larry Sanders
Larry Sanders could be a potential target of the Dallas Mavericks this offseason, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Sanders had a forgettable 2013-14 season that included an off-court incident and a five-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy, but is still only 25 years old and one season removed from his breakout year. The Mavericks have been searching for a starting center since Tyson Chandler's departure, so this move makes a lot of sense on the surface and could help get Sanders back on track.

Wed Apr 9 201421:02Larry Sanders starts five-game suspension
Larry Sanders' five-game suspension will start on Wednesday night and end on the season finale.
This is rare good news for the Bucks and they'll have their center to start the 2014-15 season, assuming he doesn't do anything else in the offseason. It's not quite clear how the Bucks were able to pull this off because Sanders was expected to miss the rest of the season with his eye injury. After a horrific 2013-14, we're not going to be excited about drafting him next year.

Fri Apr 4 201414:03Larry Sanders violates anti-drug program
Larry Sanders has been suspended by the NBA for five games for violating the league's anti-drug program.
Sanders admitted his violation came for smoking marijuana. It's been that kind of season for Sanders. He suffered a serious thumb injury in a bar fight, missed an odd amount of time for an illness, broke his orbital bone to end his season, and now this. The Bucks have pulled off the trifecta for horrible offseason moves with Sanders, O.J. Mayo (ankle) and Ersan Ilyasova (ankle) with all three players turning into massive disappointments. He'll be suspended for the first five games of the year, assuming something else doesn't happen to him.
