Thu Mar 21 201309:02Nando De Colo playing through bruised biceps
Nando De Colo is playing through a bruise on his left biceps.
It's a minor concern for the rookie and shouldn't keep him out of action, so we're not going to be marking him on the injury report.

Sat Mar 16 201323:28Nando De Colo called up, scores 11 off bench
The Spurs recalled Nando De Colo from the D-League on Saturday and he promptly scored 11 points in 24 minutes vs. the Cavaliers.
De Colo drained 3-of-4 shots from beyond the arc, teaming up with Manu Ginobili (14 points, 10 assist) in the second unit. As a consequence of De Colo's sudden return, Patty Mills got a DNP-CD and Gary Neal played two minutes.

San Antonio Spurs assign Nando De Colo and Aron Baynes to D-League.
The Spurs are preparing for Tony Parker's return, which cancels out the need to keep De Colo on the NBA roster. Baynes has been moving back and forth between the NBA and the D-League since signing with the Spurs in January.

Sun Mar 3 201322:09Nando De Colo quiet in 14 minutes off bench
Nando De Colo scored three points in 14 minutes on Sunday, coming off the bench behind starters Cory Joseph and Danny Green.
The rookie guard started three games for Tony Parker earlier this season, and with Gary Neal (quad) sidelined we figured he'd start at PG, or at least play a big role, but Gregg Popovich thought otherwise. The Spurs rolled to an easy blowout win with De Colo in a bench role, and Neal made a surprise return tonight, which does nothing to improve De Colo's odds of breaking out this week.

Sat Mar 2 201300:03De Colo could step up with Tony Parker out
Nando De Colo scored zero points on 0-for-3 shooting with two rebounds and three assists in 12 minutes off the bench on Friday, but could see a big increase in minutes due to the Tony Parker ankle injury.
De Colo was ahead of Patty Mills (12 points, three rebounds, one assist, 14 minutes) in the rotation prior to tonight, and he was able to put up low-end numbers in 1-of-2 games in which he played 27 or more minutes this month. It's really hard to assess both players' value in a blowout against the Kings, particularly with Gary Neal still out, but if we have to pick a guy we're leaning toward De Colo because of his rank on the depth chart. Each of the three is worth a look for their respective skill sets, but none of them are must-add players without more clarity.

Mon Feb 11 201319:36De Colo starts for injured Parker
Nando De Colo will start for injured Tony Parker (knee) on Monday against the Bulls.
De Colo has been operating as the backup PG so he'll get the nod, but Patty Mills has had his name in trade rumors lately and profiles as a better fit. Gary Neal could also jump in on the action, and all three could turn around and do it again when the Spurs play on Wednesday.

Tue Dec 18 201200:34DeColo plays 23 minutes with Manu out
Nando DeColo played a bench-high 23 minutes in Monday's loss to the Thunder, scoring 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with two rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 23 minutes.
Manu Ginobili was out and the game wasn't that close, but this type of line is why we've had our eye on his Dynasty value. In redraft leagues one would need to be in a massive format to give him a look.

Sat Dec 8 201207:39De Colo posts low-end line off the bench
Nando De Colo played a bench-high 21 minutes on Friday against the Rockets, scoring seven points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
De Colo got some extra run in a game that wasn't competitive, and despite the mild preseason hype he hasn't shown much in the NBA this season. We'll need to see more before paying him much attention.

Thu Nov 29 201223:57Nando De Colo goes for a season high
Nando De Colo scored a season-high 15 points to go with six rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes vs. the Miami Heat in Thursday's 105-100 loss.
The Spurs found out quite a bit about their rookie in his career-high minute total and that could be valuable information come playoff time. The kid showed he is capable of filling up a box score, but he won't have fantasy value while the Spurs are even close to full strength.

Fri Oct 26 201208:21Tim Duncan heaps praise on Nando De Colo
Tim Duncan heaped praise on rookie Nando De Colo, singling out his basketball IQ.
"His level of basketball intelligence is there," Duncan said. "He's got some great skill, and I didn't know him or expect anything of him." Stephen Jackson has already called De Colo "another Manu Ginobili," and it wouldn't be surprising to see him climb up the PG depth chart if he continues to have success. Keep an eye on him from a distance.

Thu Oct 11 201214:33Nando De Colo excels off Spurs' bench
Spurs rookie Nando De Colo racked up 11 points, nine assists and two steals during Wednesday's preseason game.
De Colo was great in 28 minutes off the bench, shooting 4-of-7 from the field with one 3-pointer. Gregg Popovich has begun calling him "mini-Manu," and the Spurs may have stolen him with the No. 53 pick this year, but he's unlikely to have any fantasy relevance as a rookie. Just keep an eye on him in case Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili gets injured.
