Portland Trail Blazers small forward Norman Powell (knee) was diagnosed with left patellar tendinopathy following an injury he suffered to his knee this past weekend. According to Trail Blazers beat reporter Casey Holdahl, Powell is still experiencing pain in his knee, but he is improving. He is currently without a timetable to return and it seems likely that he'll be out at least a few games, maybe more. Nassir Little and Anfernee Simons should both see increased playing time while Powell is sidelined. Simons in particular is an intriguing DFS play for the team's game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Atlanta Hawks forward Danilo Gallinari (shoulder) will remain on the sidelines for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. The 33-year-old veteran is dealing with left shoulder soreness and he has yet to make his season debut. The Hawks will also be without De'Andre Hunter for the game as he is dealing with an illness. Cam Reddish is likely to start in Hunter's place and he is a good target for DFS on Monday. Solomon Hill and Kevin Huerter also figure to see additional playing time. Gallinari averaged 13.3 points and 2.0 threes per game in his first season with the Hawks last year and he should be able to put up similar numbers this season.

Boston Celtics center Al Horford (groin) and guard Romeo Langford (calf) have been ruled out for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Horford has a left adductor strain, while Langford is dealing with left calf tightness. Horford's absence means that the team will likely lean more on Grant Williams and Robert Williams III, both of whom are prime targets for DFS on Monday. Horford is off to a solid start to the year. He's posted a double-double in each of the two games he's played. Over those two games, he's averaged 14.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Jrue Holiday (ankle) and power forward Bobby Portis (hamstring) have been ruled out for Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers. This will be the second game Holiday has missed this year. He is dealing with a left ankle sprain. Portis, meanwhile, has yet to make his season debut. The team will also be without Brook Lopez (back) in the game, so they'll be significantly shorthanded. George Hill will likely start at point guard and Giannis Antetokounmpo figures to serve as the team's primary center throughout the game.

Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal (groin) is good to go for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The 28-year-old veteran missed the team's last game due to a bruised right hip as well as a groin issue. With his return, Aaron Holiday will move back to the bench. Beal struggled a bit in his season debut, shooting 7-for-19 from the field and 1-for-6 from downtown. He's coming off a phenomenal year in which he averaged career-highs in both points per game (31.3) and field goal percentage (48.5%). He should have another dominant offensive season ahead.

Boston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown (knee) is good to go for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Brown is dealing with left knee soreness. He sat out Sunday's game and had been listed as questionable for Monday's game up until now. Brown had a phenomenal season debut against the New York Knicks, dropping a career-high 46 points. However, he struggled in his second game, shooting just 3-for-13, including 0-for-7 from three-point range. Expect for him to have heavy usage in what should be an interesting game against the 3-0 Hornets on Monday.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. He sat out of Sunday's game with what the team is calling left knee tendinopathy. The Celtics might decide to play it safe and sit Brown for this game. Dennis Schroder would likely be asked to start again after putting together a strong performance on Sunday. Fantasy managers might want to snag Schroder, assuming he's still available while Brown deals with this injury.

Boston Celtics forward Al Horford (groin) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. The veteran big man continues to work his way back from COVID-19. He was able to play 30 minutes on Sunday, so it wouldn't be shocking to see Horford sit out here. He is still trying to get his conditioning back and also dealing with a groin injury. Grant Williams would likely be asked to slide into the starting five for Monday's game. He'd have some streaming appeal and be an interesting DFS option, assuming Horford sits out.

Milwaukee Bucks center Bobby Portis (hamstring) has been sidelined to begin the season, but could see his first regular season action on Monday against the Indiana Pacers. The return of Portis would give the Bucks some much-needed depth up front. Brook Lopez (back) won't suit up, so the Bucks have been playing Giannis Antetokounmpo at the center spot more often. Portis could have some streaming or DFS appeal, assuming he does play. Fantasy managers should check back closer to tip-off for more information.

Brooklyn Nets center LaMarcus Aldridge (rest) won't suit up for Monday's game against the Washington Wizards. The veteran big man will sit this one out for rest purposes. That is not surprising news considering it's a back-to-back set and Aldridge was dealing with blood clots last season. His absence should mean more minutes for Paul Millsap and Nicolas Claxton. Neither of them are great streaming options, but Claxton is the better choice between the two.

Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant (elbow) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. He is dealing with a left elbow infection, which does not sound good for his status on Monday. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Grant is forced to miss time from this issue. Saddiq Bey and Hamidou Diallo, and possibly Trey Lyles would be asked to fill in, assuming Grant misses time. None of them are great fantasy options, but Bey has the most upside of the trio.

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry recorded his third consecutive double-double to begin the season in Sunday's 119-107 victory against the Kings. Curry finished with 27 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, four three-pointers made, three steals and three turnovers on 9-for-23 shooting from the field in the contest. The 33-year-old is off to a terrific start with averages of 31.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists through the opening three games, making the two-time league MVP a top-three player across all fantasy formats.

Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, five three-pointers made, one assist and three turnovers on 7-for-13 shooting from field goal range in Sunday's 119-107 loss against the Warriors. Barnes recorded 20-plus points for the third consecutive game to begin the season, while shooting an efficient 50 percent from the field on 17.3 attempts per game. Barnes is also enjoying success from three-point territory in the early going as he has made 15 three-pointers through the opening three contests, making the 29-year-old forward a quality option across all fantasy formats.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook picked up 13 points and 13 assists for his second consecutive double-double in Sunday's win over Memphis. He also had seven rebounds and four steals but hurt his fantasy line with nine turnovers and 5-for-15 shooting. He was 1-for-4 with his three-point attempts and shot 2-for-4 at the line. Westbrook had a poor debut as a Laker against Golden State with an 8-5-4 line, but he's starting to pick up momentum. The former MVP gets a perfect matchup next to improve his efficiency as well, with the Lakers facing a Spurs team that has allowed point guards to shoot a league-high 46.7 percent against them this season.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Carmelo Anthony led the team with 28 points in 28 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 121-118 victory over Memphis, moving into ninth place on the league's all-time scoring list. Melo got to 27,423 career points, leaving Moses Malone (27,409) behind him. He sunk six of eight attempts from deep and shot 10-for-15 overall from the field, adding three rebounds to his tally with one assist, one steal and two blocks. The veteran scorer had combined for only 27 points in his first two appearances as a Laker. Nights like these have become very rare for Anthony, but he can still get buckets in a hurry and will look to maintain his scoring form on Tuesday against the Spurs.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid was a jack of all trades on Sunday against the Thunder, scoring 22 points with nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and three blocks in a 115-103 win. Embiid played 33 minutes and didn't commit a single turnover while shooting 8-for-15 from the field and 4-for-6 at the line. He stayed efficient from downtown as well, sinking two triples with five attempts. The Process is nailing 46 percent of his shots from deep this and is still getting 21 points a night despite averaging fewer than 30 minutes. He'll go up against a tough Knicks team next, who boast the league's second-best defense versus opposing centers.

Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Seth Curry recorded 23 first-quarter points and ended up registering a team-high 28 points in Sunday's 115-103 win over OKC. There seemed to have been another Curry on the court during the opening 12 minutes, as the veteran sniper made six of his seven attempts from downtown. He finished with a 7-for-10 record from deep and shot 9-for-15 overall from the field with a 3-for-4 effort at the line. Curry also managed to pick up three rebounds with three assists and one steal in 34 minutes. The 31-year-old has now notched 20 points and back-to-back games, and he's shooting a mind-boggling 76.5 percent from deep for the year. Could Curry maybe produce a big night at Madison Square Garden? He faces the Knicks on Tuesday and it's a matchup against a team that is allowing a league-high 47.7 three-point attempts per game.

Orlando Magic guard/forward Terrence Ross showed up for just one quarter in Sunday's meeting with the Knicks, scoring all of his 22 points in the fourth to help his side to a 110-104 victory. He finished the game with 6-for-11 shooting and recorded three assists with one rebound and two steals. Ross was 2-for-6 from three-point range and hit eight of his nine attempts from the charity stripe. The 30-year-old is a microwave scorer who's been Orlando's key piece off the bench for years now. Ross averaged a career-high 15.6 points per game last season and might do even better this season, with the likes of Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic out of the way and not asking for touches. He'll be back out there on Monday against the Heat, who have allowed the seventh-most bench points in the league early in the season.

New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle finished Sunday's 110-104 loss to Orlando with a nice fantasy line, getting 30 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals and four blocks. However, it was a poor shooting performance from him, as he finished 8-for-24 from the field and 2-for-10 from downtown. Randle nailed 12 of his 14 free throws. The 26-year-old is shooting just 43 percent for the season but is still averaging close to 30 points a night with 11 rebounds and six assists. He'll look to improve his efficiency next against the Sixers, who managed to limit Randle to 22 points per game in three meetings last season.

Miami Heat point guard Kyle Lowry (ankle) is questionable to play against the Orlando Magic on Monday. Lowry is still recovering from a sprained ankle he suffered in the season opener last Thursday and missed Saturday's game. The Heat offense looked in disarray without Lowry as Gabe Vincent was pedestrian as a starter. If Lowry is out again, Vincent will likely make his second straight start, but Tyler Herro will be the person to look for. Herro is coming off a 30-point, 10-rebound performance and is playing exceptionally well to start the season.
