Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker led the team with 21 points in Saturday's heavy 134-105 loss to Portland, shooting 9-for-19 from the field and going 2-for-5 with the three-ball. He went 28 minutes without a single turnover and had four rebounds with four assists and two steals. This was a disappointing effort from the Suns, but they finished off a back-to-back set after beating the Lakers and should be back in form on Wednesday against Sacramento. The Kings like to run and it will give Booker a lot of scoring opportunities. He averaged 23 points in the matchup in three meetings last season.

Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard finished Saturday's blowout win over the Suns with 19 points and eight assists in 24 minutes of action. He pulled down one rebound and registered two turnovers, while shooting 6-or-11 from the field, 2-for-7 from downtown and 5-for-5 at the line. Lillard has been fairly quiet in the first couple of games this season, with C.J. McCollum leading the team in scoring on both occasions, but he should kick into gear soon. Monday provides him a good matchup to shine as Portland faces the Clippers, whose defense has been shaky so far, especially against guards.

Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum continued his good start to the season with a 28-point performance in Saturday's 134-105 win over Phoenix. He sank six triples with 11 attempts and shot 10-for-19 overall from the field with a 2-for-2 effort at the line. McCollum also put in a big shift at the defensive end, swatting away a game-high three shots with one steal. His night also included three rebounds and one assist with two turnovers in 30 minutes. McCollum is currently spitting flames and will get to do it again versus the Clippers next. Tyronn Lue's squad is off to a slow start to the season and has struggled defensively, which gives McCollum a good platform to go off once more.

Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic returned to form in Saturday's 97-82 win over Detroit, scoring 15 points on 6-for-16 shooting and grabbing a game-high 19 rebounds. The two-time All-Star entered the contest after posting only 10 points and four boards against Jonas Valanciunas and New Orleans on Friday. Vucevic, who went 1-for-4 from deep, finished up his line on Saturday with three assists, three blocks, two steals and two turnovers. There are a lot of mouths to feed in Chi-Town and Vuc will find it hard to record another season with a 20-plus point average, but he's a major force on the glass and gets stuff done in other categories as well, which still makes him one of the best big men in fantasy basketball. He'll try to rock the Raptors next in a decent-looking matchup.

Chicago Bulls guard/forward DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 21 points in Saturday's slow-burning 97-82 win over the Pistons. He shot 7-for-18 from the field and 7-for-9 at the line, adding six rebounds and six assists to his name with two blocks and two turnovers in 34 minutes. DeRozan's efficiency needs some work, but he's quietly off to a good start to the season, doing a bit of everything for the team. The veteran scorer starts next week with a revenge game against Toronto. DeRozan has averaged a 21-7-8 line in six games against the Raptors since he was traded in 2018.

San Antonio Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray was held largely in check during Saturday's defeat to Milwaukee, but he nearly delivered a brilliant performance over his 34 minutes. Murray logged 10 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, doing so all without committing a turnover. Shot attempts have fluctuated wildly for the Spurs in the early portion of the year, but Murray's multi-category contributions are as reliable as they come for a player blossoming into the must-roster tier. His next outing comes Tuesday against the Lakers and point guard Russell Westbrook, whose defensive rating (110) early in the season appears to create an exploitable DFS matchup.

Milwaukee Bucks small forward Khris Middleton keyed his team's victory over the Spurs on Saturday with a game-high 28-point effort. While his six turnovers did serve as a minor speed bump on his stat line, Middleton added three assists, two rebounds, two steals and two made threes in addition to shooting above 50 percent from the floor overall. The Bucks have had to experiment with new-look rotations sans Brook Lopez (back), a conundrum that will push on into Monday's matchup with the Pacers. But for the time being, Middleton continues to remain as consistent as they come in the production column, even seeing a slightly elevated offensive role to begin the season (29.2% USG rating entering Saturday).

San Antonio Spurs small/power forward Doug McDermott had it working from long range during Saturday's defeat to the Bucks, shooting 7-for-11 from behind the arc en route to a 25-point showing. After combining to attempt just seven threes over his first two games as a starter with the Spurs, McDermott appeared much more comfortable his third time out. That McDermott got looks from deep with little resistance isn't entirely surprising -- Milwaukee allowed the third-most three-point field-goal attempts per game (38.6) last season. While he remains primarily a season-long categories league commodity due to his dependence on the three ball, McDermott's role in the starting five gives him some short-term appeal early in the season.

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns appeared on track for a massive scoring performance in Saturday's win over New Orleans, but then foul trouble struck. Towns dropped 15 points in the first quarter alone, but he eventually fouled out of the game, limiting his production to 25 points in 29 minutes. All was not for naught: the T'Wolves' big man added four boards, three blocks, three made triples and two assists to his stat line. With fouls rearing their head, Naz Reid saw an elevated offensive role off the bench, getting up 12 shots in just 19 minutes of action. Towns will look to corral Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas in a rematch Monday.

New Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas may be in a new uniform, but he remains the double-double threat of old. Valanciunas logged his first double-double with his new organization during Saturday's loss to Minnesota, finishing with 20 points and 17 boards. In addition to logging an impressive 36 minutes, Valanciunas tossed in three steals and two assists for good measure. The sample size is drastically small, but Valanciunas is on pace to exceed the 30-minute mark average for the first time in his career. With New Orleans relatively thin on the glass with Zion Williamson (foot) sidelined, Valanciunas could bump himself up a tier in season-long appeal should he continue to see an elevated minutes total. He faces the T-Wolves again on Monday.

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Ricky Rubio ran the show as the team beat Atlanta on Saturday 101-95. He produced a team-high 23 points on 9-for-15 shooting and had eight assists with six rebounds and one steal. Rubio went 3-for-7 from downtown and recorded three turnovers in 35 minutes. Some seem to forget that this guy is a magician with the ball, and he's now getting the chance to show it again in Cleveland. Rubio is currently starting with Darius Garland (ankle) on the shelf, which makes him an attractive DFS option and a good piece in season-long formats as well.

Los Angeles Clippers center Serge Ibaka (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is not surprising news after Ibaka had offseason back surgery. He missed the season opener and will likely need multiple practices before getting back on the court. The veteran big man can be left on the waiver wire for the moment. It's uncertain when he'll get back on the court, but fantasy managers can ignore him for now.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Wayne Ellington (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest. The veteran guard remains day-to-day due to a lingering hamstring issue. The Lakers are hopeful that Ellington can get back into the lineup next week. There is a good chance that Kent Bazemore will lose playing time and touches once Ellington returns. There isn't a ton of value here, but Ellington could be worth monitoring in deep leagues.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Houston Rockets. The stud guard is already battling knee soreness two games into the season. That is certainly concerning for fantasy managers, but at least this doesn't seem too serious. His absence would likely push Josh Richardson into the starting five. Richardson could have some streaming appeal, assuming he fills in for Brown. Fantasy managers should check back for another update on Sunday.

Toronto Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam (shoulder) is progressing in his return from off-season shoulder surgery, but he has not yet logged full contact practice, per Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports, likely putting any kind of return at least weeks off. Siakam has turned himself into a must-own fantasy cog over the past two years, averaging 22.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in that span. Without him in the mix for the time being, Chris Boucher stands to continue seeing elevated frontcourt minutes, while there will be ample shots to go around for Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby and Co. in the Raptors' offense. Siakam can be safely stashed on IR slots for the time being, while those without that luxury face a much more tricky decision.

Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez (back) had already been ruled out for Saturday's contest, but head coach Mike Budenholzer let it be known before tip-off that the veteran big man would miss Monday's game against Indiana as well. The team is clearly taking a conservative approach to the center's back soreness, which has allowed Giannis Antetokounmpo to serve as the team's de facto starting five. With Bobby Portis (hamstring) also out of the mix, Jordan Nwora and Sandro Mamukelashvili have reaped added minutes, although their totals from Saturday will likely be telling about where they stand heading into Monday's outing. Lopez's next chance to suit up comes Wednesday when the Bucks return home vs. the Timberwolves.

New York Knicks power forward/center Taj Gibson (personal) has been listed as questionable to make his season debut Sunday vs. Orlando. Gibson's return would be a boon for the Knicks' frontcourt, which is unlikely to have Nerlens Noel (knee) against the Magic, while Mitchell Robinson (hamstring) is banged up in his own right. While Gibson is far from a focal point of the New York offense, his constant energy while on the court earned him north of 20 minutes and 5.6 rebounds per contest last season. He would have roll of the dice DFS punt play appeal should he ultimately get the thumbs up to take the floor Sunday.

Phoenix Suns point guard Cameron Payne (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's contest against Portland due to a strained right hamstring. While Payne's absence could funnel more minutes toward Chris Paul and Devin Booker, the more likely scenario is that Elfrid Payton finds added run with the second unit as Phoenix finds itself on the second leg of a back-to-back. Payne has scuffled from the field in a small sample size this year, while his sub-20-minute allotment likely keeps him from season-long fantasy relevance regardless. His next opportunity to return to action comes Wednesday vs. the Kings.

Miami Heat point guard Kyle Lowry (ankle) will be unavailable for Saturday's game against the Pacers due to an ankle injury. Gabe Vincent slides into the starting five in his place and will see a bump in DFS appeal, although Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler also stand to see their value increased due to added ballhandling opportunities. Lowry's Heat debut was scuttled by a 1-for-8 shooting performance earlier in the week. The six-time All-Star remains a must-start season-long fantasy commodity when healthy, but how quickly he acclimates to Miami's mix remains to be seen. His next chance to suit up comes Monday vs. Orlando.

New York Knicks center Nerlens Noel (knee) has picked up a doubtful designation for Sunday's contest vs. the Magic due to persistent left knee soreness. Noel is yet to make his season debut for New York, but a return to action doesn't appear far off. For the time being, Jericho Sims has stepped into additional minutes, but the duo of Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle have held down the center spot with aplomb. Noel's only true path to fantasy relevance would be an absence from Robinson, who should continue seeing a slight uptick in value without Noel in the mix.
