"I thought I was going to have a good game," said Beal, who was 21 of 37 from the field, including 5 of 12 from 3-point range, in 43 minutes. Beal scored more points in Portland than any Blazers opponent in the franchise's 47-year history. The previous record of 49 points was shared by Atlanta's Lou Hudson (1970) and Milwaukee's Lew Alcindor (1972).

G Tim Hardaway Jr., the New York Knicks' second-leading scorer, will be sidelined for at least two weeks because of a "stress injury" in his lower left leg, the team announced Tuesday. Based on information received from medical experts, the New York Post reported that a stress reaction could sidelined a player for two to six weeks, while a stress fracture could keep a player out for two months. Hardaway has already missed two games because of the injury and he has begun the rehabilitation process. The Knicks say Hardaway will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The Knicks have lost five of their past six games, and losing Hardaway is a major blow. He was having his best professional season, averaging 17.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

SF Kawhi Leonard (quadriceps) could make his season debut for the Spurs as soon as this week, saying he "should be back soon." The soft-spoken Leonard has missed the team's first 24 games due to the injury and said he is feeling good during his first interaction with reporters since Sept. 25. "I'm feeling pretty healthy right now," Leonard said. The Spurs have kept their intentions tight to the vest but speculation persists that Leonard could see action in Friday's home game against the Celtics.

G Stephen Curry, who scored a team-high 31 points, badly sprained his right ankle diving for a loose ball with a minute to go and had to leave the Smoothie King Center on crutches.Although X-rays taken after the game were negative, Curry has hurt the same ankle before, and he said this one, by comparison, is no bargain."I sprained my ankle and I'll see how it feels tomorrow and kind of go from there," said Curry, who had the foot in a gray walking boot. "Obviously, it's the second situation, but ... this is more on the concerned side. I shouldn't say that. It's more on the 'I won't just bounce back tomorrow morning and waking up like, all right I should be (fine),' just because of the swelling.

G Shaun Livingston has been suspended one game by the NBA and Courtney Kirkland has been removed from the NBA's officiating rotation for one week following their roles in an on-court altercation, the league announced Monday. Livingston approached Kirkland while protesting a non-call with 6:24 remaining in the second quarter of the Warriors' 123-95 win over the Miami Heat on Sunday at AmericanAirlines Arena. The pair bumped heads.

C Marcin Gortat logged his 105th straight start Monday. It is the third-longest active streak in the NBA. He had no points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes during a blowout loss at Utah.

G Bradley Beal is averaging 10.5 points on 30.8 percent shooting over his past two games after averaging 24.7 points per game through the month of November.

G Alec Burks scored 27 points to spearhead a balanced offensive effort Monday as the Jazz blew out the Wizards. Burks is averaging 26.3 points on 63.8 percent shooting over his past three games.

F Kawhi Leonard, who has not played this season because of a quad injury, met with the media on Monday for the first time since late September but had no specific update on his rehabilitation or when he might return to game action. Leonard said he is working in five-on-five drills and is progressing but provided little insight how the injury occurred or into the process he is using to get back to the court.

C Rudy Gobert, back from an 11-game absence caused by a bone bruise of the right knee, returned to contribute four points, 10 rebounds and two blocks Monday as the Jazz blew out the Wizards.
