Mon Mar 2 201516:52Young (knee) questionable for Tuesday's game against Hornets
Young (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hornets, Mark Medina of the LA Daily News reports.
Young has missed the last three games because of swelling in his left knee, allowing Wayne Ellington and Jeremy Lin to take on bigger roles. Young hasn't made much noise on the court recently, and he doesn't figure to log more than 20-to-25 minutes in Tuesday's game, even if he plays. He owns a hideous .366 field-goal percentage this season, despite shooting a respectable 36.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Sat Feb 28 201516:58Young (knee) ruled out for Sunday's game against Thunder
Young (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder, the Orange County Register reports.
Coach Byron Scott relayed after Saturday's practice that Young is still battling soreness and swelling in the knee that will prevent him from playing until at least Tuesday's game against the Bobcats. With Young sidelined another contest, the likes of Wayne Ellington and Wesley Johnson stand to be the greatest beneficiaries of more minutes.
Thu Feb 26 201515:24Young (knee) questionable for Friday's game against Bucks
Young (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks, Brad Turner of the LA Times reports.
Young, who missed Wednesday's game in Utah, received treatment on the knee Thursday and did not participate in practice. Still, he's not being ruled out, as the team's training staff will wait to see how the knee reacts at Friday's shootaround. If Young is ultimately held out again, expect Wayne Ellington to see a bump in minutes, while Wesley Johnson could pick up a few extra minutes off the bench.
Wed Feb 25 201513:39Young (knee) will not play Wednesday against Jazz
Young (knee) will not play Wednesday against the Jazz, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Swelling emerged in Young's knee after Sundays' win over the Celtics, and while an MRI came back negative, he'll be held out of Wednesday's game. With Ronnie Price (elbow) also out, the Lakers will be shorthanded in the backcourt, so Jeremy Lin should see increased minutes. Jordan Clarkson and Wayne Ellington are both attractive daily plays, as well.

Young (knee) is considered questionable for Wednesday's game in Utah, Lakers Reporter Mike Trudell reports.
Young had swelling in his left knee after Sunday's game, but an MRI on Monday came back clean, so he's considered questionable to take the court Wednesday. Despite scoring 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting Sunday, Young has struggled to just 32.4 percent shooting in February.

Young is battling swelling in his left knee and will visit a doctor Monday afternoon, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Young has dealt with foot and ankle injuries this season, and he's now battling a swollen knee after playing 26 minutes and scoring 19 points in Sunday's win over Boston. The Lakers are expected to issue a statement later Monday, so a further update will be available in the coming hours.
Sat Feb 21 201505:00Young (foot) returned to action Friday
Young (foot) returned to action Friday. He scored five points (2-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt) and added three rebounds in 25 minutes against the Nets.
Young's biggest problems, from the fantasy perspective, are his inconsistencies and his willingness to continue shooting even when he is having an off night. As a result, nights like Friday are doubly bad for fantasy managers who used Young - not only did one of their starters fail to produce, but Young also damaged field goal percentage category by shooting only 22 percent on nine shots.
Wed Feb 18 201516:16Young (foot) took part in Wednesday's practice
Young (foot) took part in Wednesday's practice, Brad Turner of the LA Times reports.
Young injured his left foot in the Lakers' final game before the All-Star break, but the peroneal tendon sprain doesn't appear to be anything serious, and he said he'll play Friday, barring a setback. The mercurial guard entered the break in the midst of a slump and has not shot better than 50 percent in any of his last eight contests.
Wed Feb 11 201523:56Nick Young: Exits With Left Foot Injury
Young suffered a left foot injury in Wednesday's game and will not return, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Young exited Wednesday's game in the third quarter with what was officially diagnosed as a peroneal tendon strain. He will have some time to rest up during the All-Star break, and it remains to be seen if the injury will cost him any further time.

Young played 26 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets, finishing with 12 points (4-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and four rebounds.
Young's shooting woes continue, going just 31 percent from the field and 33 percent from the three-point line against the Nuggets. It was good to see him hit a couple of three-point shots and reach double figures in points for his fantasy value, but he still doesn't offer much more than those two categories. Until he can shake this shooting slump, his fantasy value will be limited, although he could go off at any point.

Young scored eight points (3-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt), to go with one rebound, and three assists 22 minutes on Sunday.
Young was benched after he received a technical in the second quarter. Young now has five technicals on the season and had nine last season so he's not a stranger to receiving them. On a depleted Lakers team he's still going to get plenty of run though so this shouldn't affect his value too much.

Young (ankle) returned from a three-game absence and scored 16 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-7 FT) in 34 minutes in the overtime loss to Milwaukee on Wednesday.
Young came back with shots a-flying. He should vie with Wayne Ellington for the scoring lead for the Lakers and be a worthwhile fantasy pickup for points and 3-pointers.

Young (ankle) went through a full practice Tuesday and will play in Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
There have been rumblings that Young, in addition to working his way back from injury, is not on the best of terms with coach Byron Scott, so there is a chance he may not see the minutes that his offensive talent would otherwise dictate. An excellent three-point shooter, Young is prone to taking plenty of ill-advised two-point shots, which largely negates his real-life value, but he is still plenty useful in fantasy leagues when he is seeing big minutes. Look for him to come off the bench Wednesday.

Young (ankle) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game in Milwaukee, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Young has missed the Lakers' last three outings due to a sprained ankle, but the guard claimed that he was healthy enough to take the court Sunday. With nearly a week and a half since his last appearance, he should be fresh upon his next appearance, which will seemingly take place Wednesday.

Young (ankle) claimed that he was healthy enough to play in Sunday's contest against the Knicks and is unsure why coach Byron Scott didn't insert him into the game, Baxter Holmes on ESPN reports.
Young's relationship with coach Byron Scott seems to be on thin ice if the small forward was indeed healthy enough to play Sunday. The Lakers will play the Bucks on Wednesday and Young will likely be a game-time decision, while officially being designated with an ankle injury.

Young (ankle) will dress for Sunday's game against the Knicks but he's not expected to play, the OC Register reports.
Young has been able to do some light running in practice but isn't quite back to being fully healthy. Assuming he doesn't ultimately get inserted into Sunday's game, his next chance to make a comeback will be against the Bucks on Wednesday.

Young (ankle) did some light running Friday but is still unable to cut like normal.
Young's availability for Sunday's game against the Knicks seems to be up in the air with this most recent news from coach Bryon Scott. If the small forward stays sidelined, Wayne Ellington has an opportunity for extended minutes against the Knicks.

Young (ankle) will miss a second straight game Thursday against the Bulls.
Young sprained his ankle earlier in the week during practice, and although he initially said he did not believe it was anything serious, he'll sit out a second game after missing Tuesday's game against the Wizards. In Young's absence, Wayne Ellington and Jordan Clarkson should continue to see bumps in minutes.
Wed Jan 28 201515:08Young (ankle) missed practice Wednesday
Young (ankle) missed practice Wednesday, Mark Media of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
Young tweaked his ankle in practice earlier in the week, and he sat out Tuesday's loss to Washington. His absence from Wednesday's session is not encouraging, but the team is still considering him questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Bulls.
Tue Jan 27 201514:37Young (ankle) will not play Tuesday against Wizards
Young (ankle) will not play Tuesday against the Wizards, Bill Oram of the OC Register reports.
Young sprained his ankle during Monday's practice, and although he doesn't believe it's serious, he'll miss at least one game. Young is expected to accept a larger role offensively in the absence of Kobe Bryant (shoulder), but from a fantasy perspective he doesn't offer much outside of scoring. Consider Young questionable to play Thursday against the Bulls.
