Young hasn't made much noise on the court recently, and he doesn't figure to log more than 20-to-25 minutes in Tuesday's game, even if he plays. He owns a hideous .366 field-goal percentage this season, despite shooting a respectable 36.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Young (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder, the Orange County Register reports.

Coach Byron Scott relayed after Saturday's practice that Young is still battling soreness and swelling in the knee that will prevent him from playing until at least Tuesday's game against the Bobcats. With Young sidelined another contest, the likes of Wayne Ellington and Wesley Johnson stand to be the greatest beneficiaries of more minutes.

As a result, nights like Friday are doubly bad for fantasy managers who used Young - not only did one of their starters fail to produce, but Young also damaged field goal percentage category by shooting only 22 percent on nine shots.

Young injured his left foot in the Lakers' final game before the All-Star break, but the peroneal tendon sprain doesn't appear to be anything serious, and he said he'll play Friday, barring a setback. The mercurial guard entered the break in the midst of a slump and has not shot better than 50 percent in any of his last eight contests.

Until he can shake this shooting slump, his fantasy value will be limited, although he could go off at any point.

Young scored eight points (3-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt), to go with one rebound, and three assists 22 minutes on Sunday.

Young was benched after he received a technical in the second quarter. Young now has five technicals on the season and had nine last season so he's not a stranger to receiving them. On a depleted Lakers team he's still going to get plenty of run though so this shouldn't affect his value too much.

Young (ankle) returned from a three-game absence and scored 16 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-7 FT) in 34 minutes in the overtime loss to Milwaukee on Wednesday.

Young came back with shots a-flying. He should vie with Wayne Ellington for the scoring lead for the Lakers and be a worthwhile fantasy pickup for points and 3-pointers.
