Sun Feb 2 201401:45Anthony Tolliver gets 14 points in blowout
Anthony Tolliver scored 14 points with one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes vs. the Suns on Saturday.
He scored 11 points in the fourth quarter and got the most out of garbage time. Tolliver's fantasy value is unchanged at this point, averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 boards in 22.3 minutes per game over his previous 10 games. Adjust accordingly.

Sat Jan 11 201423:08After big game, Tolliver goes scoreless
After scoring 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting in Friday's game, Anthony Tolliver went scoreless without a single field goal attempt on Saturday.
This sums up the case against Tolliver as a fantasy option. His role is already chaotic and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's impending return all but ensures that Tolliver won't hold any value off the bench.

Fri Jan 10 201422:49Tolliver gets hot with 21 points, five threes
Anthony Tolliver got hot on Friday and hit 8-of-9 shots with five treys for 21 points.
Of course, Tolliver only added three rebounds to this line during his 27 minutes, and given his inconsistency and the pending return of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist there isn't any reason to make an add.

Sun Jan 5 201402:49Tolliver benched, plays just 16 minutes
Anthony Tolliver was benched on Saturday and played just 16 minutes, finishing with six points, two rebounds, a block and two 3-pointers.
Chris Douglas-Roberts got the start in his place tonight and if you own Tolliver, go ahead and swap him out for CDR. Douglas-Roberts scored 20 on Thursday and had 10 points in 35 minutes tonight, making him a better option going forward.

Fri Jan 3 201402:06Anthony Tolliver struggling as starter
Anthony Tolliver made another start at small forward on Thursday but hit just 1-of-3 shots (a 3-pointer) for three points, three rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes in a blowout loss to the Blazers.
Chris Douglas-Roberts came off the bench for a season-high 20 points to go with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers on 6-of-8 shooting in 24 minutes. Yes, it was garbage time, but Tolliver hasn't exactly locked down the starting job. Keep a close eye on this position battle, as it's possible that CDR could replace Tolliver in the starting five at some point.

Thu Jan 2 201400:09Anthony Tolliver scores 11 in another start
Anthony Tolliver scored 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting and hit three more 3-pointers in 37 minutes in another start at small forward on Wednesday.
Tolliver has been quite inconsistent, scoring 11, 3, 12, 6, 12, 2, 3 and 10 points in each of his last eight games. Tonight also marked the first time he hit a two-point basket in his last five games. He's hit 14 3-pointers over his last five games and while he's not a must-own, if you're looking for a deep-league replacement for Al-Farouq Aminu, who played 14 minutes for the Pelicans tonight, Tolliver might be worth a flier.

Sat Dec 28 201323:20Anthony Tolliver scores 12 in start
Anthony Tolliver had 12 points, seven rebounds, a steal and four 3-pointers on 4-of-10 shooting in Saturday's loss.
Tolliver has now scored all his points on 3-pointers in four of his last five games, which is odd for a big man. His offense is shaky, at best, but he's averaging 10 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 3-pointers over his last three games. Chris Douglas-Roberts is coming off the bench and had seven points and five rebounds in 23 minutes. As long as Tolliver is starting and hitting 3-pointers, he's a decent deep-league option as long as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out.

Fri Dec 27 201322:38Tolliver hits two threes for six points
Anthony Tolliver hit 2-of-5 shots (all threes) for six points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 35 minutes on Friday against the Thunder.
Tolliver hit four 3-pointers on Monday and after two of them tonight he's officially worth a short-term look for help in that department. It's possible that he's finally getting comfortable after a few years of being anything but that.

Mon Dec 23 201323:19Anthony Tolliver hits four 3-pointers
Anthony Tolliver made four 3-pointers for 12 points against the Bucks on Monday to go with three boards, one assist and one block in 34 minutes.
He made all four of his shots for a tidy 3.0 points per shot tonight. Tolliver didn't start off on the right foot in his first start on Saturday, but his 34 minutes tonight are a clear indication the Bobcats will be using him quite a bit until Michael Kidd-Gilchrist comes back from his broken hand. MKG could be out for a few more weeks, meaning Tolliver is worth a look for short-term help.

Sat Dec 21 201323:07Anthony Tolliver quiet in start for Bobcats
Anthyony Tolliver started for Charlotte on Saturday but hit just 1-of-5 shots for two points, five rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes.
Tolliver could end up becoming a deep-league sleeper if he continues to start with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (broken hand) out indefinitely, and Jeff Taylor (Achilles) done for the season. Just keep a close eye on him over the next few games.

Sat Dec 21 201317:56Anthony Tolliver starts at SF on Saturday
Anthony Tolliver will start at SF for the Bobcats on Saturday, taking over after Jeff Taylor's season-ending Achilles injury.
Chris Douglas-Roberts should also take a more prominent spot in the rotation. Tolliver is worth grabbing off the waiver wire if you need 3-point shooting (40.5 percent this season) and a dash of rebounds, while CDR has enough versatility to also be on fantasy radars. Both guys' roles will change when Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) returns, possibly in January, so don't cut anyone with long-term value for them.

Fri Dec 20 201322:21Tolliver quiet even with Taylor out
Anthony Tolliver was quiet in 27 minutes of action on Friday, scoring three points on 1-of-4 shooting with three rebounds and one block.
Tolliver's one bucket was a three and we've seen this act out of him for a couple of years now. Even with Jeff Taylor injuring his Achilles' tonight, the Bobcats will likely go with a patchwork arrangement at small forward until either he or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist returns, with the team running quite a few three-guard lineups.

Wed Dec 18 201323:04Anthony Tolliver scores 10 in 13 minutes
Anthony Tolliver finally got off the bench for the Bobcats and hit 4-of-5 shots for 10 points, four rebounds and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's exciting overtime win against the Raptors.
Jeff Taylor started and struggled yet again, and this could mean it's time for Tolliver to get a shot at playing small forward while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out with his broken hand. Taylor has been pretty bad as the starter and had just five points and one rebound in this one. Just keep an eye on Tolliver to see how this situation develops.

Thu Dec 12 201302:03Anthony Tolliver gets a DNP-CD
Anthony Tolliver was a DNP-CD (coach's decision) on Wednesday night.
He played 34 minutes on Monday, but he didn't get any playing time with Jeff Taylor back in the lineup. Tolliver has been apprehensive in scoring that ball all year and the addition of Chris Douglas-Roberts isn't a vote of confidence. Those that picked him up can cut him loose.

Tue Dec 10 201302:39Anthony Tolliver starts, plays 34 minutes
Anthony Tolliver played 34 minutes in his first start of the season on Monday, scoring six points with five boards, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.
He only took two shots in the game and made then both. That's a little strange considering Tolliver has been more of a shooter in his career with 4.9 shots per game in just 19.6 minutes over his career. He should continue to start with Jeff Taylor (heel) and could have a better game on Wednesday against the Magic. Taylor is likely questionable for the contest on a nine-game night, so Tolliver isn't a strong pickup.

Mon Dec 9 201313:14Anthony Tolliver to make fill-in start at SF
Anthony Tolliver will start at SF for the Bobcats on Monday, filling in with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) and Jeff Taylor (ankle) unavailable.

Tue Dec 3 201323:52Anthony Tolliver plays 26 minutes in loss
Anthony Tolliver played 26 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, finishing with three points, three rebounds and a 3-pointer on 1-of-5 shooting.
The news here is the minutes, as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist left with a broken hand that should keep him sidelined indefinitely. The job will likely go to either Tolliver or Jeff Taylor, but it appears the Bobcats coaching staff is more comfortable with Tolliver. And if he does take over the starting gig for MKG, owners in deep leagues may want to put an action plan in place to pick him up. Taylor has been struggling and played just three minutes tonight.

Wed Nov 13 201323:29Anthony Tolliver scores 11 in start
Anthony Tolliver scored 11 points with three 3-pointers against the Celtics on Wednesday to go with one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block.
He started for Josh McRoberts and the team will expect McRoberts back on Friday. Tolliver can be left on the wire in almost every league. Cody Zeller didn't get much more action tonight, playing just 22 minutes with eight points, nine boards, two steals and one block.

Sat Aug 10 201312:04Anthony Tolliver, Bobcats reach one-year deal
Anthony Tolliver and the Bobcats agreed to a one-year contract, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
The Bobcats offered Tolliver the deal Thursday, but he took a few days to evaluate his other options, which reportedly included the Knicks, Magic, Spurs, Lakers, Jazz and Bulls. It's unclear whether those teams were simply interested or whether he had an offer. Tolliver wasn't going to get a ton of playing time wherever he landed and doesn't deserve any fantasy consideration.

Fri Aug 9 201321:00Several teams interested in Anthony Tolliver
The Knicks, Magic and Spurs have joined the Lakers, Bobcats, Jazz, and Bulls in a pursuit of unrestricted free agent Anthony Tolliver.
There isn't much left on the free agent market and a lot of teams still need another forward at the end of their bench. Tolliver was somewhat productive after the break, averaging 5.4 points in 19.9 minutes. The Bobcats have already offered him a contract and he should sign with one of these teams soon.
