Tue Apr 7 201522:36Chalmers has flu and needed two liters of fluid through IV
Chalmers, who played just nine minutes Tuesday night, has the flu and needed two liters of fluid through an IV, Ethan J. Skolnick of Turner Sports reports.
The Heat were playing with several dinged up and fatigued players Tuesday night, but managed to hold on for a 105-100 win over the Hornets. Consider Chalmers day-to-day and questionable leading into Thursday's game against Chicago.

Chalmers filled in for Dwayne Wade (knee) in Tuesday's loss to the Cavaliers and was held to six points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 26 minutes but did add on two rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
Chalmers saw his average amount of action Tuesday despite Wade's absence. However, if Wade misses any time with the knee bruise he suffered early on in the game, Chalmers would likely get the start.

Chalmers was expected to start Friday against the Hawks, but ultimately came off the bench for 30 minutes of action. He contributed 13 points, one rebound, five assists, two steals, and one block.
It's unclear why the Heat chose to keep him on the bench Friday, but he still logged 30 minutes in the process. He's averaging 11.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers made over the last games. Thus, he should be considered a low-end player in 12-man formats at best.
Fri Mar 27 201514:35Chalmers likely starter at shooting guard Friday against Hawks
Chalmers is the likely starter at shooting guard Friday against the Hawks.
With Dwyane Wade (knee) looking doubtful to play, coach Erik Spoelstra said the team will likely employ the same lineup it used Wednesday in Boston, which featured Chalmers in the backcourt alongside Goran Dragic. While Chalmers played 37 minutes, he scored only six points to go with seven assists a rebound and three turnovers.

Chalmers had six points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven assists, one rebounds and three turnovers in 37 minutes.
Chalmers was put in the starting lineup in place of Dwyane Wade (knee). Chalmers would be an ok option in daily games when Wade is out.
Wed Mar 25 201519:22Chalmers will get start at shooting guard Wednesday
Chalmers will get the start at shooting guard Wednesday, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.
The Heat are once again dealing with a rash of injuries, and with Dwyane Wade sitting out, Chalmers will join Goran Dragic in the starting backcourt.
Sun Mar 8 201501:24Chalmers (knee) finished with 12 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT...
Chalmers (knee) finished with 12 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 34 minutes during Saturday's overtime victory against the Kings.
Chalmers was considered a game-time decision coming into Saturday, but was able to play 34 minutes, so the knee didn't look to be a factor at all. He likely received some extra playing time with Goran Dragic sitting out due to a back injury, so we'll have to wait and see what his return means for Chalmers' minutes moving forward, but it will likely drop them considerably, therefore reducing his fantasy value. Keep an eye on him until Dragic returns.

Chalmers (knee) was active for Friday's game against the Wizards but coach Erik Spoelstra never called him into action.
Chalmers should be considered day-to-day moving forward as he continues to deal with soreness in his knee. His next opportunity to take the court will come against the Kings on Sunday.
Fri Mar 6 201519:01Chalmers (knee) active for Friday's game against Wizards
Chalmers (knee) is active for Friday's game against the Wizards.
Chalmers has been dealing with some soreness in his knee of late but still feels well enough to take the court in his normal fashion off the bench Friday.

Chalmers (general soreness) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards.
Chalmers, Chris Andersen and Luol Deng are all listed as questionable Friday due to soreness, so it appears Erik Spoelstra may be looking to get his player some rest. Check back prior to game-time for an update on the status of all three. If Chalmers is held out, Shabazz Napier could see increased minutes.

Chalmers' role on the Heat is now in question after the Heat's acquisition of Goran Dragic on Thursday.
Chalmers and Norris Cole, who was traded to New Orleans on Thursday, were shuffled in and out of the starting lineup for each other through the first couple months of the season. Now, with Dragic and Dwayne Wade commanding the majority of minutes in the backcourt, it will be difficult for Chalmers to continue playing 31 minutes per game like he has so far this season. He should be slotted into a bench role going forward, and Chalmers will likely see a significant enough reduction in fantasy value that he'll be droppable in standard leagues sooner than later. For daily games, Chalmers could have some short-term value until Dragic is officially cleared to play for the Heat.

Chalmers (shin) played Friday despite injuring himself in Wednesday's game, but was limited to just seven points (2-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four assists in 25 minutes.
Chalmers has been seeing a larger role with Dwayne Wade out, but he's only broken double-digit points once in his past four games. The 28-year-old has been widely inconsistent this season, and isn't worth owning in most leagues. In 49 appearances this season, Chalmers is averaging 10.6 points on just 40.2 percent shooting, 2.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
Fri Feb 6 201520:16Chalmers (shin) will play in Friday's game
Chalmers (shin) will play in Friday's game, the Miami Herald's Joseph Goodman reports.
He injured his shin in Wednesday's game, but will play through the injury Friday. With Dwyane Wade out, Chalmers along with Shabazz Napier and Norris Cole should see the bulk of the backcourt minutes against the Spurs.
Fri Feb 6 201513:27Chalmers (shin) questionable for Friday night's game against Spu...
Chalmers (shin) is questionable for Friday night's game against the Spurs, according to his coach.
Wednesday's injury looked pretty rough, and Chalmers continuing to play couldn't have helped his outlook for Friday. A healthy Chalmers is a risky play, an injured one should not be played except under the direst of circumstances. With Dwayne Wade still out, the Heat will have to scrape the bottom of their backcourt depth to find bodies for shooting guard spot.

Chalmers suffered a left shin contusion Wednesday in Minnesota but returned to the game.
Initially, Chalmers' ailment appeared to be severe, after his dive into the stands required others to carry him to the locker room. While he toughs it out Wednesday, continue to watch his status in advance of Friday's contest at San Antonio.

Chalmers (undisclosed) left Wednesday's game at Minnesota after diving into the stands for a loose ball, the Miami Herald reports.
After the play, Chalmers was down for a bit before he was carried to the locker room. While the extent and nature of the injury are unknown, Shabazz Napier and Norris Cole remain as the sole options at point guard.

Chalmers scored 21 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-12 FT), his most since Nov. 22, and dished out eight assists in 34 minutes of action in a loss to the Bucks on Tuesday.
While Chalmers did have a solid game, his production in the past two months doesn't warrant a pickup in most leagues. In his previous 12 games in January, he's averaging just 8.4 points on 38.3 percent shooting, 3.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

Chalmers scored three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt), to go along with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes on Sunday.
Chalmers had contributions across the board, but didn't really do anything to impress fantasy-wise. He has a starting role and is locked in a minutes battle with Norris Cole, which makes him a low tier option at point guard. If you want to take a gamble, go ahead, however there are other options on the board who can offer what Chalmers does.

Chalmers played 19 minutes as a starter in the blowout loss to the Rockets on Saturday. He had three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and five assists.
The game was not close, so coach Eric Spoelstra gave more minutes to Norris Cole and even Andre Dawkins. Chalmers should return to regular minutes in Sunday's game against Brooklyn, but don't expect eye-popping minutes.
Tue Dec 30 201415:14Chalmers will continue to start at point guard going forward
Chalmers will continue to start at point guard going forward, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Tuesday that he'll continue with the backcourt of Chalmers and Dwyane Wade, who have started the last four games together. Chalmers began the season as the backup to Norris Cole, but the two have apparently flip-flopped roles, as Cole now serves as the first guard off the bench. The pair have started together on certain occasions, and it's likely to happen again at some point, with the health of Wade seemingly always up in the air.
