G Ty Lawson returned to action on Wednesday after a two-game suspension for a DUI offense last summer.

PG Ty Lawson was suspended for two games without play for driving while impaired, the NBA announced on Friday. Lawson's suspension will begin with Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers. It will conclude with Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets unless Lawson appeals the punishment.

G Ty Lawson appears to finally be rounding into form, averaging 10.3 points and 3.3 assists in his last three games after failing to score in double figures in 11 consecutive games. Asked if Lawson was looking more like the player he coached in Denver, Kings coach George Karl quipped: "Yeah, unfortunately."

G Ty Lawson played just 2:41 on Wednesday night against the Grizzlies and has been a poor fit after his offseason acquisition from Denver. Getting Lawson in the paint remains a priority. Last season, he shot 54.5 percent inside 10 feet; this season, Lawson is shooting 46.2 percent from that range, including 1 of 12 between 3-10 feet.

Rockets coach Kevin McHale said the Rockets would attempt to play Lawson and Patrick Beverley together in the backcourt "a lot" this season, Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Lawson stands at just 5-foot-11 while Beverley checks in at 6-foot-1, meaning the Rockets would be woefully undersized in scenarios in which both players are on the court at the same time. On the other hand, the duo would give the Rockets an infusion of speed and better ball handling, which plays into coach Kevin McHale's up-tempo ethic. No matter how McHale ends up tinkering with his lineup, Lawson retains the greater fantasy value of the two players due to his historically superior point-scoring and assist totals, the latter of which could hold steady while he joins a team with far more offensive talent than the Denver squads he played on the last two years.

Lawson is on his way to Houston as the Nuggets agreed on terms of a trade Sunday with the Rockets, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Lawson should immediately take over for incumbent point guard Patrick Beverley even though Beverley recently agreed to a four-deal to remain in Houston. Back in Denver it appears the Nuggets will turn over the reigns to rookie Emmanuel Mudiay while Jameer Nelson serves as a reliable alternative if the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft falters during his initial season. As for Lawson, he's proven to be one of the better point guard options over the last several years but he may have to split ball-handling duties with James Harden who often initiated the offense for two years running in Houston since Beverley was more of a defensive specialist. Besides some early growing pains with the Lawson-Harden relationship, Lawson should retain most of his value as he enters a team with far more shooting potential, which may lead to even more assists for a player who already averaged 9.6 last season.

Lawson will enter rehab for 30 days, ESPN reports.

Lawson, who was recently arrested for DUI for the second time in six months, will enter a rehab facility in Malibu to complete a 30-day residential treatment program. It's unclear how this will impact the pending DUI charge, and it's also unclear whether Lawson will face separate discipline from the league itself. Regardless, the Nuggets appear ready to move on from Lawson after drafting Emmanuel Mudiay and signing veteran Jameer Nelson. At this point, all signs point to Lawson being dealt before the start of the 2015-16 season.

Lawson was arrested Tuesday morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Denver Post reports.

Lawson was arrested in January on the same allegation, and he pleaded guilty to underage drinking and driving back in 2008 when he was at North Carolina. The Nuggets didn't hide their displeasure with the January incident, which occurred less than 24 hours before the team had a game. Lawson has been the subject of frequent trade rumors, particularly since the Nuggets drafted Emmanuel Mudiay, but this latest incident could make it harder for the team to get a strong return. Once one or both of his cases is/are resolved, Lawson may draw a suspension from the NBA.

Lawson, already the subject of many trade rumors, could now find himself out of Denver after the drafting of Emmanuel Mudiay with the seventh pick in the NBA Draft.

If Lawson does remain in Denver, it's likely he remains the starter for at least the beginning of the season, but that would be unlikely to hold for the duration of the campaign. If he is traded, Lawson should be able to approximate the 15.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 9.6 assists he averaged last season.

Lawson logged averages of 15.2 points (44% FG, 34% 3Pt, 73% FT), 3.1 rebounds, 9.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.1 blocks in 36 minutes per game through 75 regular season games in 2014-15.

Rumors have been swirling that the Nuggets are pursuing a deal to move Lawson, who turns 28 in November and is set to earn nearly $26 million over the next two seasons. Regardless of which team Lawson is playing with in 2015-16, he's proven to be a reliable source of assists during his six years in the league, and a new setting is unlikely to change that.

Lawson will take a seat to rest since the Nuggets are out of playoff contention. His next opportunity to play will be against the Warriors on Wednesday.

Lawson notched a double-double Friday against the Mavericks with 19 points, five rebounds, and 18 assists in 52 minutes of action.

Lawson is averaging just 14.3 points and 9.0 assists over the last four games in spite of Friday's performance. He's played better early in the season, but regardless, he's producing enough to be owned in all leagues.

Lawson (forearm) posted 16 points, three rebounds, eight assists, and one steal in 39 minutes of action Wednesday against the Lakers.

Lawson missed just one game due to a sore forearm, but appears good to go moving forward. Still, he's been struggling of late, averaging just 12.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 0.8 steals over the last four games. In spite of his relative lack of production, he's still contributing heavily in the assists category, which makes him a valuable asset in most formats.

Lawson was scratched from Saturday's tilt due to a forearm injury, but with three additional days of rest, he's closing in on active status Wednesday. If he plays, he'll direct the Nuggets' offense, per usual.

Lawson has been averaging just 14.4 points and 6.4 assists over the past five games on 40 percent shooting from the field. The Nuggets have been a wreck, and Lawson hasn't had the motivation to turn things around. Still, he's also adding 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals to that production, which means he's a solid mid-round option in most leagues.

Lawson posted 18 points, four rebounds, nine assists, three steals, and one block in 31 minutes of action Friday against the Jazz.

Lawson is averaging just 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.2 steals over the last five games. He's seen his production decrease of late, and it's getting pretty worrisome to owners. Tat being said, he's still been consistent in racking up assists, which means he'll hold value in fantasy leagues for now.

Lawson started and played 27 minutes in a blowout win over the Magic on Sunday, but was held scoreless, going 0-for-2 from the field. He did finish the game with eight assists and three rebounds.

This is the second time this month that Lawson has been held scoreless in a game. However, he has a combined 30 assists in his pas three games, and prior to Sunday, he had scored in double figures three straight times. Danilo Gallinari also went off for 40 Sunday, so Lawson took a back seat to his hot teammate.
