Sun Sep 3 202309:05Warriors Want To Lock Up Klay Thompson For The Rest Of His Career
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson is about to enter the final year of his contract, but he should have no issues securing a new long-term deal with the team. According to Warriors owner Joe Lacob, there have already been some brief discussions on an extension, and he is very much interested in keeping Thompson for as long as possible. "We love him and I know he knows we love him. And we're going to try to do something here for the rest of his career," Lacob told Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. Thompson has spent his entire NBA career with the Warriors, helping the team to four championships while averaging 19.8 points on 41.6 percent three-point shooting. The 33-year-old enjoyed one of his best campaigns last season with a 21.9-point scoring average and a career-high 4.1 rebounds.

Mon May 22 202311:50Who's the Greatest Golden State Warrior? Ranking the Top 10 Greatest Warriors Players of All Time
Younger basketball fans recognize the Golden State Warriors dominating run during the late 2010s and early 2020s. They've won four NBA championships, including back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. Their 2022 championship run is also the stuff of legends after finishing third in the Western Conference before defeating the Boston Celtics in six games. However, the franchise's history is more than this dynasty. They are one of the original members of the Basketball Association of America, the predecessor of the National Basketball Association. Back then, they were known as the Philadelphia Warriors. But in 1962, Franklin Mieuli moved the team to California after becoming the team's majority owner. They were known as the San Francisco Warriors until they switched to the state's official nickname in 1971. Several NBA players who donned the team's uniform became legends and Hall of Famers. But here are the best competitors who have proudly represented the Dubs.

Honorable Mention: Al Attles

https://twitter.com/AfricanArchives/status/1529588451879931904Alvin Austin Attles Jr. may not have the impressive stats that other players on this list had. He only averaged 8.9 points per game in 11 years. However, it's hard to undermine his impact on the franchise. After playing his entire NBA career with the Warriors franchise, he also served as the team's head coach and general manager.Attles is also one of the team's ambassadors since 1987. He has worked for the organization in official capacities for over six decades. No wonder it was easy for the franchise to retire his number 16 jersey, one of only seven numbers the Warriors have on the rafters as of the 2022-23 NBA season.

10. Tim Hardaway

But Timothy Duane Hardaway Sr. is more than just a point guard with slick ball-handling skills. The Warriors drafted him 14th overall in the 1989 NBA Draft, and he became an instant sensation after being named to the 1990 NBA All-Rookie First Team. During his seven-year stint with Golden State, he became a three-time All-Star and a 1992 All-NBA Second Team member.

9. Chris Mullin

He played for the Warriors until 1997, becoming a five-time NBA All-Star. Mullin was also a 1992 All-NBA First Team member. This member of the high-octane "Run TMC" trio in the early 90s also made it to the All-NBA Second Team in 1989 and 1991. The Warriors have retired Mullin's number 17 jersey.

Sun May 7 202310:18Klay Thompson Cools Off In Game 3 Against Lakers
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson had a poor shooting night and committed six turnovers in Saturday's Game 3 loss to the Lakers. After hitting 8-for-11 in the previous game, Thompson was only 3-for-9 with the three-ball and finished 5-for-14 overall from the field during a 15-point performance. It's only the second time in these playoffs Thompson has finished with fewer than 20 points. He completed his line with seven rebounds, one steal and one block. The veteran sniper will look to produce a bounce-back performance in Monday's Game 4.

Fri May 5 202309:21Klay Thompson Takes Control In Game 2
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson stepped up and delivered during Thursday's Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors desperately needed a win after going down 1-0 in the series. Thompson played well, finishing with 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting, three rebounds, an assist and eight triples. It's worth noting that Thompson has only scored 30 points once in his last 20 games, dating back to the regular season. The Lakers had no answers for Thompson, so we'll see if they make an adjustment heading into Game 3.

Sun Apr 16 202318:36Klay Thompson Expects Max Extension This Summer
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson expects a max contract extension this summer. The 33-year-old averaged 21.9 points and shot 41.2% from deep this season (69 games), so he's certainly worth it from a production standpoint. However, he's battled injuries over the years and has missed more than enough time during his career. The Dubs are focused on the postseason meeting with the Kings, meaning this story should lose momentum. But as soon as Golden State's season is finished, things will pick back up.

Tue Apr 4 202321:50Klay Thompson Sitting Out Tuesday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (back) will not play Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thompson was a late addition to Tuesday's injury report with a back issue and will be sidelined for at least one game. Jordan Poole should see increased usage while Anthony Lamb could also see a boost. Stephen Curry should take as many shots as he can against the young Thunder squad and could be in for a big night.

Tue Mar 14 202308:56Klay Thompson Hits The Suns With 38 Points
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson made a sizzling start to Monday's big matchup against Phoenix and ended up as the leading scorer in the contest, putting up 38 points in a 123-112 win. He had a whopping 33 points in the first half with eight made attempts from deep. The Suns did a much better job against Klay after the break and he didn't add to the damage from deep anymore. The veteran star finished with 14-for-23 overall shooting and recorded four rebounds and five assists with one steal and one block. Thompson is shooting over 50 percent from the field this month and his good efficiency allows him to rack up points in a hurry, which was the case on Monday.

Sat Feb 25 202307:56Klay Thompson Drops 12 Three-Point Bombs On Houston
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson had an outstanding game with a game-high 42 points and 12 made three-pointers in Friday's 116-101 win over the Rockets. This was a complete three-point barrage from the veteran, as Thompson didn't make a single two-point attempt and finished 12-for-19 from the field with a 6-for-6 record at the foul line. It's his second 42-point effort of the month, and Thompson also had seven rebounds and one assist in the game. The 33-year-old has only recently received the all-clear to start playing back-to-backs and Friday was a pretty decent debut for him in that regard. Thompson's availability on back-to-back nights is a boost for his fantasy value, especially with Stephen Curry (shoulder) still unavailable.

Wed Feb 22 202319:03Klay Thompson Expected To Play Back-To-Backs Moving Forward
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson is expected to play back-to-back sets of games moving forward, per head coach Steve Kerr. Thompson has had a couple major injuries in his career and has been subjected to some rest days when the Warriors play a back-to-back set of games. However, it looks like rest days are behind him, and Thompson should see a lot fewer of those the rest of the regular season. There is still some chance Kerr gives Thompson a rest day if some soreness occurs, but this is a good sign for Thompson's availability moving forward.

He was 15-for-22 overall from the field and completed his work with three rebounds and one assist. Sat Feb 4 202314:51Klay Thompson Questionable On Saturday Evening
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (illness) is questionable ahead of Saturday's matchup against the visiting Mavericks. Thompson and Draymond Green (calf) missed Thursday's loss to the Denver Nuggets, allowing Kevon Looney and Jonathan Kuminga to enter the starting lineup. Kuminga finished that one with 17 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes and should be classified as a must-start if Thompson and Green aren't available on Saturday night. As far as Looney is concerned, he'll grab plenty of rebounds, although his upside on the scoring end is limited.

Fri Jan 20 202316:38Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson Resting
Golden State Warriors starters Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson will all be receiving a rest day on Friday during the second half of their back-to-back against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The trio plus Stephen Curry will all be resting on the sidelines so there are big openings for streaming options in this contest. Jordan Poole is likely already taken in many leagues, so Donte DiVincenzo, Anthony Lamb, Ty Jerome, and Moses Moody are all going to see more minutes and are likely available on the waiver wire in more leagues.

Tue Jan 3 202308:19Klay Thompson Drops 54 Points On Atlanta
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson produced the second-best scoring night of his career on Monday, helping the team to a 143-141 overtime victory against Atlanta with a 54-point effort. He shot lights out all night, finishing 10-for-21 from downtown and 21-for-39 overall from the field. The veteran sniper also collected eight rebounds, three assists and one block. Following his horrible injury issues, Thompson has been a very inconsistent performer, but he has now strung together a very impressive four-game stretch, averaging 34.5 points. Next up, he will find himself facing off against the second-worst defense in the league, so Thompson is in a perfect spot to continue his scoring tear on Wednesday versus Detroit.

Tue Dec 20 202217:06Klay Thompson Will Play Against Knicks
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) was originally listed as probable for this Tuesday night matchup. Now, the team makes it official by listing him as available against the New York Knicks. Mon Dec 19 202223:52Klay Thompson Probable Against The Knicks
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) is expected to play against the Knicks on Tuesday. The veteran is listed on the injury report with a sore left knee. However, this is nothing new, so barring a significant setback, he should be out there. Thompson has struggled in the two games that Stephen Curry (shoulder) has missed so far, scoring 29 points while shooting 10-for-31 from the field and 6-for-17 from deep during that span. Jordan Poole has the best chance to lead things offensively with Andrew Wiggins (adductor) out again for this one. Yet, Thompson is due for a solid performance at some point, so fantasy managers should never count him out.

Fri Dec 16 202215:36Klay Thompson Back On Injury Report For Friday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) was removed from the injury report on Thursday because he was originally supposed to receive a rest day. Now he's back on the report with apparent knee soreness. Thompson is officially tagged as questionable right now, but it sounds like it could just be precautionary. He'll likely get up until game time to test his knee out to see if he can suit up. The 32-year-old has only missed six games this season, and most of them seem to be for rest days. If he stays on the sidelines, look for Donte DiVincenzo to stay in the starting lineup and for Moses Moody to get some more minutes off of the bench.

Thu Dec 15 202222:07Klay Thompson Available For Friday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (rest) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The veteran guard sat out on Wednesday, which was the second game of a back-to-back set. The Warriors continue to be cautious with their superstar guard, but should eventually let him play in back-to-back sets. Thompson won't lack scoring opportunities with Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins both sidelined. He'll be a great fantasy option for Friday's slate.

Wed Dec 14 202216:47Klay Thompson Will Miss Wednesday’s Contest
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson (rest) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers. The Warriors have been consistent in resting Thompson on the second leg of back-to-backs this season as he works his way back to full speed following nearly two-and-a-half seasons on the sidelines. When on the floor, Thompson has been more aggressive from long range than ever, hoisting a career-high 10 triples per game, knocking down an average of 3.8, which ranks him tied for fourth in the league. With Andrew Wiggins (groin) also out, Jordan Poole will see his DFS upside skyrocket, while Donte DiVincenzo and Moses Moody could garner additional run. Fantasy managers can anticipate Thompson being good to go Friday vs. Philly.

Sun Dec 11 202207:45Klay Thompson Leads All Scorers In Finals Rematch
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson went off for a game-high 34 points in Saturday's 123-107 win over Boston, shooting 14-for-26 from the field with a 4-for-11 from downtown. The Splash Brothers really turned up for the Finals rematch, with Stephen Curry adding 32 points with 6-for-11 three-point shooting. Thompson completed his line with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block while turning over the ball just once in 36 minutes. This is the second time this season that Thompson has been able to get past the 30-point mark. He's been averaging 18.9 points for the year, but the veteran sniper has boosted his production to 27.5 points this month. It's been a big improvement and fantasy managers must be very happy.
