Thomas re-signed with the Knicks on a one-year, $1.6 million deal Thursday, Shams Charania of Real GM reports.

Thomas put up career numbers after being traded to the Knicks, playing in 40 games with 24 starts. During that 40-game stretch, he posted averages of 8.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 steals over 26 minutes per game. He'll stay in a reserve role for the Knicks, and will likely remain very limited in his fantasy value.

Thomas was traded to the Knicks in January and averaged 8.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 26.0 minutes per game across 40 appearances (24 starts) for New York this season.

Thomas started 13 of 22 games with the Thunder before being traded to the Knicks in early January. Upon arriving in New York, Thomas parlayed a couple of 10-day contracts into a deal that lasted through the 2014-15 regular season. Although his stint with the Knicks brought career-best numbers, the 28-year-old Thomas remains a rotation player at best and it's unclear where he will land ahead of next season.

Thomas scored 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-2 FT) with four rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.

Someone has to score for the Knicks, and at the moment that someone is Thomas, who's averaging 17.7 points over the last three games. Don't expect the sudden burst of productivity to last much longer, but he could be worth riding in the short term in deep leagues.

Thomas scored a season-high 24 points (9-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 38 minutes against the Raptors on Sunday.

The scoring performance came out of nowhere for Thomas, as his previous season-high before Sunday was 17 points in late January. While the outing was impressive for Thomas, it should be taken with a grain of salt, as the production and minutes are unlikely to remain consistent down the final stretch of the season.

Thomas has missed a couple of games recently for an undisclosed reason. In the games that he has played, he's been mediocre - not really any worse, nor any better, than he's been throughout the rest of the season. Thomas doesn't contribute much in fantasy, and so only managers in the very deepest of leagues ought to concern themselves with trying to figure out what is causing these DNPs.

Thomas won't play Wednesday against the Celtics, Steve Popper of The Record reports.

Thomas' injury, if any, is a bit unclear at this juncture. It is also possible he is just getting a day of rest, but it will leave the Knicks another man down, with Tim Hardaway, Travis Wear and Quincy Acy all being candidates to pick up minutes in his stead.

Thomas had 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-2 FT) and five rebounds as a starter in the loss to the Cavaliers on Sunday. He played 23 minutes.

Thomas could be a player to monitor in deeper leagues. His ceiling is not very high, but he took 12 shots in the loss. Thomas could be a decent one-day play Wednesday against the Celtics.

Thomas will start Sunday, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

In the move, Thomas will push teammate Cleanthony Early back to the bench. The two will likely share the minutes left behind by the injured Carmelo Anthony (knee), but unless one of these two players can establish himself as the clearly superior player, neither will have much fantasy value this season.
