Satoransky has told the Wizards that he plans to come to the NBA to join the team for the 2016-17 season after he finishes out the final year on his contract with Barcelona, the Washington Post reports.
Satoransky would likely slot into a backup role behind John Wall and Bradley Beal in his first season in the NBA, so don't go spending too high of a draft pick on him in dynasty leagues where you stash players. Where Satoransky could claim big minutes on a healthy Wizards team is at small forward if the team wants to move him to that position, something that should be a relatively easy transition for the 6-7 guard.

Satoransky plans to play out the final year on his contract with Barcelona before considering a move to the NBA, the Washington Post reports.
The Wizards drafted Satoransky back in 2012 with the 32nd-overall pick. He's a 23-year-old 6-7 guard. Through 30 games with Barcelona in the ACB league in the 2014015 season, he averaged 7.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.2 blocks, and 0.8 three-pointers in 20 minutes per game. Most encouraging is that Satoransky also shot 58 percent from the field, 49 percent from beyond the arc, and 81 percent from the free-throw line. The Wizards already have John Wall and Bradley Beal in the backcourt, but given Satoransky's size and skills could allow him to play some small forward if needed.
Tue Jun 24 201415:25Tomas Satoransky agreed to deal in Spain
Wizards prospect Tomas Satoransky has agreed to a deal with FC Barcelona in the Spanish league.
Satoransky already declined to play for the Wizards during the Las Vegas Summer League, and his deal with Barcelona is likely more lucrative than any rookie-scale deal he'd earn in the NBA. The 22-year-old Satoransky may surface in the NBA some day, but he's off the radar for the 2014-15 season.

Tue Jun 10 201414:33Tomas Satoransky will skip summer league
Contrary to previous reports, Wizards prospect Tomas Satoransky is not interested in playing in the Las Vegas summer league.
"I already played for them in Summer League [last year]," he said. "Another Summer League would do close to nothing for my individual improvement." He's likely to earn more money on a multi-year contract in Europe than he would in the NBA, so the 22-year-old's reluctance is understandable, but he left the door open for future summers. "Provided that, in the future, some other NBA team would want me to play [in the Summer League] for them, maybe I'd think about it," he said, "but that's hypothetically speaking."

Sat May 17 201418:13Tomas Satoransky to play for Wizards in Vegas
Wizards prospect Tomas Satoransky will join the team's summer league team in Las Vegas this July.
Satoransky, a 6'7" shooting guard, was drafted in 2012 but he's since played in the Czech Republic and Spain, and it's unclear whether he might come to the NBA for the 2014-15 season. He's coming off a fine campaign in Spain's ACB league, averaging 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.5 steals in 30 minutes per game, while shooting 38.2 percent beyond the arc.

Wed Jun 26 201310:08Satoransky may or may not join Wizards
Toma s Satoransky may or may not join the Wizards for the 2013/14 season.
GM Ernie Grunfeld was rather non-committal when asked about Satoransky. "We're in contact with him at all times. He has a contractual situation that he's dealing with right now," Grunfeld said. "We'll see how that gets resolved and it should get resolved within the next couple of weeks with his representatives over there and after that, we'll get a better feel." Satoransky's future in Washington is a major question mark.
