On Sunday, the undrafted guard posted 20 points, 20 assists, five rebounds, and three steals on 7-for-17 shooting and just 1-for-8 from three. What he lacked in scoring efficiency, VanVleet made up for with his playmaking and defensive stats. Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet will miss Saturday's matchup against the Detroit Pistons. He's away from the team for a personal matter, so he won't be available for the second consecutive game. As a result, head coach Nick Nurse will likely continue to give his starting lineup plenty of minutes. At the same time, Jeff Dowtin Jr., who had five points and three assists on Thursday versus the Pelicans, may also see more work from the bench.

Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet remains away from the team for personal reasons, which causes his status for their weekend back-to-back to be questionable. The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller.But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves.So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet has had a rough go of things this year with a lot of inconsistencies, but he turned in a big game against the Utah Jazz in a three-point loss. The 28-year-old finished with 34 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, and one block while shooting 12-for-25 from the floor and 4-for-9 from beyond the arc. This marked his first triple-double of the season which ties his total from last season. In points leagues, VanVleet is a top option, but he can be a shaky asset in category formats.

He had an impact all over the court, notching four rebounds, one steal and one block. VanVleet nailed five treys with 10 attempts and shot 11-for-20 overall with five turnovers in 40 minutes. The 2022 All-Star has had an inconsistent campaign, but that's now six strong performances on the bounce from VanVleet, which will be very pleasing for fantasy managers. Can he make it seven on Saturday against Portland? VanVleet settled for only 14 points on 41.7-percent shooting when these teams had their first meeting this season earlier in the month.

The 28-year-old was uncertain for this contest after sitting out on Saturday due to right rib soreness. It appears Vanvleet is feeling good enough to play, so fantasy managers should make sure they have him in their lineups. He'll likely be asked to help pick up the slack with OG Anunoby (ankle) ruled out. Also, Precious Achiuwa should play a bigger role, which makes him worth streaming for Sunday's slate.

He didn't suit up for Saturday's meeting with Boston, the first of the team's back-to-back, opening the door for Scottie Barnes to handle most of the ball handling duties. VanVleet gets a new game already on Tuesday against the Bucks. He has already played them once this month and almost posted a triple-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in an overtime loss on Jan. 4.

VanVleet has had a handful of bumps and bruises that have landed him on the injury report, but then he's played through most of them. If he can't suit up, Gary Trent Jr. and Malachi Flynn would likely see some added minutes.

Fellow guard Gary Trent Jr. will remain in the starting five alongside Vanvleet. That being said, Malachi Flynn will head to the bench and see his playing time take a significant hit. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get Vanvleet back in their lineups for Monday.

Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (back) and power forward/center Precious Achiuwa (ankle) have been ruled out for Friday's game against the Suns. VanVleet will miss his second consecutive outing, paving the way for Malachi Flynn to become a highly targeted DFS option due to his low price tag. Achiuwa has been sidelined since Nov. 9 due to a sprained right ankle, but he has recently been tagged as questionable, indicating that a return is likely not far off. Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam are also likely to see elevated passing opportunities among the starting five. VanVleet and Achiuwa's next opportunity to return comes Monday vs. Indiana.

The ailment kept VanVleet out of Thursday's contest, which allowed Malachi Flynn to see an elevated workload, even as he continued to come off the bench. Flynn has only recently found his way back to the regular rotation and has played well, averaging 10.2 points across the last six games. However, his work in other areas has been lacking, and he's definitely a risky choice for fantasy managers.
