Sasha Vujacic would like to return to the NBA next season.

"My desire is to return to the NBA next season," Vujacic said. He's played professionally in Turkey this season, but he could draw some interest as a role player off the bench in the NBA.

Sasha Vujacic didn't take kindly to some physical play in Turkey recently and responded with a cheap-shot elbow to the kidneys for one of his opponents and then quickly grabbed the throat of another player.

It happened so quickly that it's tough to call it a choke, but the linked video is quite entertaining. Vujacic is not expected back in the NBA this season, but that could still change at some point.

Sasha Vujacic is currently playing in Turkey and it sounds like he has no plans on resuming his NBA career this season.

In an interview with Hoopshype Vujacic said that he planned to stay the entire year. There's still an outside shot he could show up in the NBA at some point this season, but as of now, don't plan on drafting him this year.

The deal has an option for a second season, though it's unclear whether it is a player or team option. There is also no word on his salary level or whether he'll have a clause enabling him to return to the NBA once the lockout is resolved.

Those stats are identical to what he did on Sunday, with the only difference being three 3-pointers tonight, and just two of them yesterday. The last one almost didn't happen, as he tied the game late for his last points of the game. But D.J. Augustin ruined the party with a 19-footer to win the game. Vujacic looks like a safe start in Wednesday's finale.

With the Nets roster decimated with injuries, Vujacic is worth a look as a late season option if you're looking for scoring or threes.

He hasn't done much in a while, but having Deron Williams on the sideline could open things up for him enough that he matters in deeper formats. If anything, those desperate for threes will want to track his progress.

With Damion James (concussion) likely out at least a week, Vujacic gets the nod at small forward. Consider an add if you're desperate for treys, but note that Sasha struggles badly in rebounding, assists and field-goal percentage. Morrow is the more complete player and better shooter.

Starting at SG in place of injured Anthony Morrow (concussion), Sasha Vujacic finished Saturday's epic victory in London with 25 points (including 6-of-9 from downtown) -- he drained a critical 3-pointer to send the game into double-OT.

Vujacic is a capable scorer who can give fantasy owners a handful of 3s, rebounds, assists, and steals -- but once Morrow returns he'll be relegated to bench duty, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Nets coach Avery Johnson hinted that his experiment of starting Sasha Vujacic at shooting guard is over.

After starting the previous two games, Vujacic came off the bench behind Anthony Morrow on Monday night. "We thought we could get that same type of energy (Vujacic normally provides off the bench) with our first unit, and these last two games it just didn't work out," Johnson said. Consider the sharpshooting Morrow the man to own going forward.
