Sasha Vujacic would like to return to the NBA next season.

Wed Dec 28 201119:44Sasha Vujacic grabs opponents' throat
Sasha Vujacic didn't take kindly to some physical play in Turkey recently and responded with a cheap-shot elbow to the kidneys for one of his opponents and then quickly grabbed the throat of another player.
It happened so quickly that it's tough to call it a choke, but the linked video is quite entertaining. Vujacic is not expected back in the NBA this season, but that could still change at some point.

Sun Dec 4 201100:26Sasha Vujacic likely to stay in Europe
Sasha Vujacic is currently playing in Turkey and it sounds like he has no plans on resuming his NBA career this season.
In an interview with Hoopshype Vujacic said that he planned to stay the entire year. There's still an outside shot he could show up in the NBA at some point this season, but as of now, don't plan on drafting him this year.

Fri Jul 15 201110:02Report: Sasha Vujacic signs w/ Turkish club
Sasha Vujacic has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Turkish team Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
The deal has an option for a second season, though it's unclear whether it is a player or team option. There is also no word on his salary level or whether he'll have a clause enabling him to return to the NBA once the lockout is resolved.

Wed Jul 13 201101:02Turkish team 'close' to signing Vujacic
Turkish basketball team Anadolu Efes is reportedly "close" to signing free agent Sasha Vujacic.
An April report from beat writer Colin Stephenson suggested the Nets may not bring him back, and Turkish newspaper Milliyet writes that Vujacic 'seems positive' of playing in Turkey next season. There is no word of whether or not the deal would contain an out-clause to return to the NBA after the lockout, but he profiles as a guy whose situation supports a move overseas.

Tue Apr 12 201112:03Vujacic won't be back with Nets?
Beat writer Colin Stephenson suggests that the Nets may not bring back impending free agent Sasha Vujacic.
Vujacic made $5.45 million in the final year of his contract this season. But with the Nets looking to clear cap room for a free agent binge, Vujacic likely isn't in the plans. He'll latch on elsewhere as a 3-point specialist.

Mon Apr 11 201122:50Vujacic goes deja vu in tough loss
Sasha Vujacic posted a nearly identical line on Monday to the one he posted Sunday, finishing with 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Those stats are identical to what he did on Sunday, with the only difference being three 3-pointers tonight, and just two of them yesterday. The last one almost didn't happen, as he tied the game late for his last points of the game. But D.J. Augustin ruined the party with a 19-footer to win the game. Vujacic looks like a safe start in Wednesday's finale.

Sun Apr 10 201121:55Vujacic racks up 19 in loss
Sasha Vujacic had 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and two treys in Sunday's loss to the Raptors.
The Nets were already playing without Sundiata Gaines, Deron Williams, Anthony Morrow, Damion James and Kris Humphries. On Sunday, Ben Uzoh and Mario West went down. Vujacic is locked into 35-40 minutes over the final two games and will be a very viable fantasy option.

Sun Apr 10 201117:06Vujacic to start in place of injured James
Sasha Vujacic will start once again in the place of Damion James (foot).
With the Nets roster decimated with injuries, Vujacic is worth a look as a late season option if you're looking for scoring or threes.

Fri Apr 8 201122:01Sasha Vujacic plays well in start
Sasha Vujacic started on Friday and had 13 points, six boards, four assists and two steals on 6-of-14 shooting in a loss to the Knicks.
Anthony Morrow was out again with a sore knee, allowing Sasha to get loose. He had 16 points on Wednesday, as well, making him worth a look down the stretch.

Tue Apr 5 201123:13Sasha Vujacic goes off for double-double
Sasha Vujacic took advantage of extended playing time with Anthony Morrow (knee) sidelined and posted 17 points and 10 rebounds in 38 minutes.
Vujacic also hit four threes to go along with three steals and was flat out excellent tonight. You deserve kudos if he was in your lineup tonight, but owners shouldn't get used to this type of production on a nightly basis regardless of who is sidelined for the Nets.

Sun Apr 3 201122:29Vujacic still starting for Nets
Sasha Vujacic started on Sunday, recording 12 points, six rebounds and three treys in a loss to the Heat.
Travis Outlaw (17 points, nine rebounds tonight) went back to the bench. Vujacic is always a good bet for treys when he starts, but coach Avery Johnson can't settle on these two. Avoiding both is the safest play.

Fri Mar 25 201122:26Vujacic nears double-double in start
Sasha Vujacic started at small forward for the Nets on Friday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and eight assists in 36 minutes.
He has been much too inconsistent to get fully behind him, especially with Damion James (foot) possibly back soon, but as long as he's in the starting lineup he'll be worth a look.

Wed Mar 23 201122:48Vujacic back in starting five for Nets
Sasha Vujacic started for the Nets on Wednesday and hit 7-of-14 shots and four 3-pointers for 18 points, five rebounds and two steals in a tough overtime win against the Cavaliers.
Vujacic has bounced in and out of the starting five all season and it's anyone's guess as to whether or not he stays there. He hit four threes on Monday and scored 14 points, meaning it looks like he's heating up again if you need a 3-point shooter.

Tue Mar 22 201100:07Vujacic scores 14 points off the bench
Sasha Vujacic scored 14 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 5-of-12 shots from the field (including four threes) with two rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes.
He hasn't done much in a while, but having Deron Williams on the sideline could open things up for him enough that he matters in deeper formats. If anything, those desperate for threes will want to track his progress.

Thu Mar 17 201113:08Vujacic heading back to the bench
Beat writer Al Iannazzone confirms that Sasha Vujacic is expected to return to a bench role tonight.
Damion James (concussion) is ready to start but will likely only play about 16 minutes. Still, that's enough to make Vujacic an unappealing fantasy option.

Wed Mar 9 201122:23Vujacic plays well in start for Nets
Sasha Vujacic started at small forward on Wednesday in place of Damion James and hit 7-of-16 shots and two threes to score 16 points in a win over the Warriors.
James will be out a week and things went well tonight, so it would make sense for Vujacic to continue to start. But whether Avery Johnson sticks with him is anyone's guess.

Wed Mar 9 201112:05Vujacic, Morrow both starting for the Nets
Sasha Vujacic and Anthony Morrow are both starting for the Nets on Wednesday.
With Damion James (concussion) likely out at least a week, Vujacic gets the nod at small forward. Consider an add if you're desperate for treys, but note that Sasha struggles badly in rebounding, assists and field-goal percentage. Morrow is the more complete player and better shooter.

Sat Mar 5 201118:43Sasha Vujacic scores 25 pts in start for NJ
Starting at SG in place of injured Anthony Morrow (concussion), Sasha Vujacic finished Saturday's epic victory in London with 25 points (including 6-of-9 from downtown) -- he drained a critical 3-pointer to send the game into double-OT.
Vujacic is a capable scorer who can give fantasy owners a handful of 3s, rebounds, assists, and steals -- but once Morrow returns he'll be relegated to bench duty, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Tue Mar 1 201110:45Vujacic to stick as reserve?
Nets coach Avery Johnson hinted that his experiment of starting Sasha Vujacic at shooting guard is over.
After starting the previous two games, Vujacic came off the bench behind Anthony Morrow on Monday night. "We thought we could get that same type of energy (Vujacic normally provides off the bench) with our first unit, and these last two games it just didn't work out," Johnson said. Consider the sharpshooting Morrow the man to own going forward.
