Sun Apr 14 201320:27MarShon doesn't score, but more to come?
MarShon Brooks did not score in four minutes of action on Sunday.
He could be the starter the rest of the way with the Nets clinching the four seed today. In his one start, Brooks scored 27 points in 39 minutes. He's on the radar in all leagues as a spot-start option.

Tue Apr 9 201323:00MarShon Brooks scores 11 in win
MarShon Brooks had 11 points, seven rebounds and a 3-pointer on 4-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's win.
With Gerald Wallace bottoming out again tonight, it's possible Brooks could find himself starting the last few games of the season. Keep a close eye on news about Wallace, and keep in mind Joe Johnson isn't a picture of health, either. Brooks is far from a must-own player at this point, but is worth keeping on your radar screen going forward.

Wed Apr 3 201318:24MarShon Brooks to start vs. Cavs on Wednesday
MarShon Brooks will be in the starting lineup Wednesday night.
Brooks is starting in place of Joe Johnson, who will sit due to a lingering heel injury. We suspected C.J. Watson would start for Brooks but coach P.J. Carlesimo opted to bring Watson off the bench. Regardless, expect them to play similar minutes as the Nets try to compensate for injuries to Johnson and Gerald Wallace (foot).

Wed Mar 27 201313:10MarShon Brooks probable to play Wednesday
MarShon Brooks (illness) did not go through shootaround but is probable to play on Wednesday.
Brooks is expected to be fine and missed shootaround because he wasn't feeling well. He should see extra minutes without Joe Johnson (heel) available.

Wed Mar 20 201308:07Carlesimo pleased w/ Marshon Brooks' defense
P.J. Carlesimo said that he was pleased with MarShon Brooks' defensive effort on Monday.
It's notable because it's only the second time in March that Brooks has exceeded 15 minutes of playing time. "He's doing a lot o other aspects of his game better, which is really encouraging," Carlesimo added. Keith Bogans was out on Monday, so it's not clear if Brooks will earn playing time over the veteran when both are healthy.

Tue Mar 12 201323:19MarShon Brooks scores 14 points vs. NOH
MarShon Brooks shot 5-of-6 from the field for 14 points in Tuesday's 108-98 win over the Hornets in 22 minutes.
Joe Johnson didn't play and C.J. Watson only scored four points in a start. Brooks has shown some flashes, but with Johnson just day-to-day, there's no reason to pick up Brooks in most formats.

Sun Mar 3 201301:20MarShon Brooks (wrist) scoreless vs. Bulls
MarShon Brooks (sprained wrist) played nine minutes in Saturday's loss to the Bulls.
He didn't attempt a field goal and he missed both of his free throws. His wrist may not cost him any games, but as long as Joe Johnson is healthy there's no reason to own Brooks. For instance, Keith Bogans (15 minutes) and Mirza Teletovic (11 minutes) each saw more action than MarShon.

Sat Mar 2 201301:57Brooks (wrist) plays three minutes on Friday
MarShon Brooks (sprained right shooting wrist) played three minutes on Friday.
That's not a good sign for his overall health and we're going to keep him on the injury report until we get an explanation for his low minute total. The Nets play in Chicago on Saturday and then have three days off before a Wednesday game against the lowly Bobcats.

Fri Mar 1 201310:56MarShon Brooks a game-time call on Friday
MarShon Brooks (sprained wrist) is a game-time decision on Friday.
Brooks didn't practice on Thursday, but he had been seeing more minutes with Joe Johnson (heel) recently unavailable. If Brooks doesn't play, Keith Bogans will be asked to play a bigger role.

Thu Feb 28 201312:02MarShon Brooks diagnosed with wrist sprain
MarShon Brooks (wrist) did not practice on Thursday.
There was no previous report of Brooks' wrist issue, so we're going to assume that it's not overly serious. He's currently listed as day-to-day. Jerry Stackhouse remains away from the team due to personal issues.

Mon Feb 25 201300:15MarShon Brooks grabs season-high seven boards
MarShon Brooks grabbed a season-high seven rebounds in Sunday's loss, adding eight points, three assists and one block in 32 minutes.
This game stands out in a quiet season for Brooks, but seven rebounds aren't anything to write home about and his role was inflated with Joe Johnson (heel) out of commission. He's cracked 20 minutes just five times all season, which restricts his value to deep leagues.

Sun Feb 10 201309:14Nets coach hints at rotation changes
P.J. Carlesimo suggested that he may tweak his bench rotations after the Nets' loss on Friday, their fifth defeat in the past eight games.
After losing to the Wizards, Carlesimo said he is "very concerned ... the issue is more the people that have been coming off the bench ... when we have gone bad, [the bench has] gone very bad." We'll keep an eye on the Nets rotations on Sunday, when they face the Spurs in Brooklyn.

He's buried in the rotation and has no fantasy value, regardless of how healthy or banged up he is.

Tue Feb 5 201318:12MarShon Brooks will play Tuesday
MarShon Brooks (ankle) will play in Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
Brooks lightly rolled his ankle in Monday's practice, but he's fine for his usual bit scorer's role off the bench.

Tue Feb 5 201309:48MarShon Brooks questionable to play Tuesday
MarShon Brooks rolled his ankle in Monday's practice and is questionable to play against the Lakers on Tuesday.
Brooks' playing time has been largely inconsistent since P.J. Carlesimo took over head coaching duties, but he's coming off of a game where he scored 13 points in just over 20.5 minutes. With Jerry Stackhouse a game-time call, veteran Keith Bogans could be pressed into a few more minutes on Tuesday.

Sat Feb 2 201300:23Brooks scores 13 points on Friday
MarShon Brooks scored 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 21 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Brooks has been quiet all season and we need to see him do this a lot more before we'll pay him much attention.

Sat Jan 5 201323:14MarShon Brooks scores 15 pts off bench
MarShon Brooks played well in 26 minutes vs. the Kings, scoring 15 points (one shy of his season-high) with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
Brooks aggressively looked for his shot and finished 7-of-14 from the field, a performance which will hopefully solidify him ahead of Jerry Stackhouse (DNP-CD) in P.J. Carlesimo's rotation. This game had a very odd flow, with copious garbage minutes, and owners in standard leagues should just keep an eye on him for now.

Thu Jan 3 201300:34MarShon Brooks plays 2 minutes in win
MarShon Brooks, who had a season-high 16 points on Monday, played just under two minutes on Wednesday and failed to score.
Hopefully you didn't take the bait after Monday's breakout game, as he holds no fantasy value currently.

Mon Dec 31 201221:32MarShon scores 16 in blowout loss Monday
MarShon Brooks scored a season-high 16 points with two rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Spurs on Monday.
He was expected to see a bigger role with Avery Johnson gone, but he only played six minutes on Saturday. 13 of his 19 points on Monday came in the last nine minutes of the game, so there's no reason to pick him up in the vast majority of leagues.
