Fredette has seen extra playing time in light of Eric Gordon's injury, but that hasn't improved his play.
In his last three games the former BYU star has averaged almost 12 minutes per game, but has made just one of his seven attempts from the field. He'll likely continue to get burn for as long as Gordon remains sidelined, but the production just hasn't been there for Fredette.

Fredette never left the bench Monday against the Grizzlies, recording his first DNP of the season.
This is hardly surprising news after Fredette went 0-for-6 in his first game, then played just four minutes in the second game. A flammable scorer, Fredette needs his shot working to be of value to coach Monty Williams. With Fredette riding the pine, Austin Rivers played 17 minutes, scoring seven points with a steal and a rebound.
Wed Oct 22 201410:12Fredette will play off ball during regular season
Fredette will play off the ball during the regular season, the Times-Picayune reports.
This is a departure from the plan during the preseason, where Fredette and Austin Rivers have been sharing ball handling duties for the second unit. Coach Monty Williams' plan is now for Tyreke Evans to do most of the dribbling with the subs while Fredette or Rivers try to score. Williams used the word "or", not "and" when discussing Fredette and Rivers, which may mean only one of the two is destined for rotation minutes.

Fredette scored 13 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3P) with two rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's preseason game against the Wizards.
He's looked good in his new uniform in the early part of the preseason, but once Tyreke Evans recovers from his hamstring injury Fredette could find minutes a little harder to come by.

Fredette led the team in scoring Saturday night, racking up 17 points and handing out three assists.
The former BYU star handled point guard duties for the second unit while Austin Rivers (12 points and six assists) played most of his time at the two-guard. Both guards saw increased minutes as coach Monty Williams limited the minutes of Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon. Both Fredette and Rivers played heavy minutes, but rookie Russ Smith performed admirably as well, scoring 12 points in his limited time.
Sun Sep 14 201411:09Fredette trying to prove himself this season
Fredette is trying to prove himself this season, already working out with his new team to improve his midrange and pick-and-roll game, the Times-Picayune reports.
Fredette was acquired by the Pelicans this offseason to offset the loss of Anthony Morrow's sharpshooting ability, but the former BYU star wants to contribute in more ways than just from beyond the arc. If Fredette can improve both offensively and defensively with the pick-and-roll, then he can challenge Austin Rivers and Russ Smith for backup guard minutes this season. As is, New Orleans values Fredette for his flammable shooting, and should give him a chance to display his talents early on this season.
Thu Jul 24 201419:25Pelicans sign Jimmer Fredette
Pelicans sign G Jimmer Fredette.
He was very close to playing overseas, but the Pelicans will use him as an end-of-the-bench combo guard. Rookie Russ Smith looked phenomenal in summer league and he may have the inside track as the backup point guard behind Jrue Holiday. Fredette is off the radar in most leagues.

Fri Jul 18 201409:03Jimmer Fredette agrees to 1-year deal with NO
Jimmer Fredette has reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Pelicans for the veteran's minimum.
Jimmer is a career 40.1 percent shooter from beyond the arc, however, he has never averaged more than 7.6 points in a season. As the current roster stands, Jimmer will be competing for minutes with the likes of Austin Rivers, Russ Smith, and John Salmons, and it doesn't seem like there's enough minutes to go around for Jimmer to be a reliable contributor. His college career was impressive, but that was back in 2011, and he has still yet to emerge as a relevant fantasy option in the NBA.

Fri Jun 20 201410:58Greek team going after Jimmer Fredette
Greek team Panathinaikos is targeting Jimmer Fredette this summer.
Those on Jimmer Time may have to adjust their clocks. Fredette hasn't been able to do much in his time in the NBA because his coaches are apprehensive about putting him out on the court. An NBA team probably won't offer him as much money as a foreign team would.

Mon Apr 14 201423:04Jimmer scores 17 points off the bench
Jimmer Fredette scored 17 points off the bench with D.J. Augustin (personal) out on Monday, hitting 7-of-14 shots (including a three) with three rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes.
With the Bulls still maintaining a chance at the No. 3 seed it seems logical that Augustin could play on Wednesday, but if he doesn't then Jimmer will be worth a look for scoring and threes.

Sun Mar 2 201415:44Jimmer Fredette scoreless in Bulls debut
Jimmer Fredette didn't score in three minutes off the Bulls' bench on Sunday.
He was just acquired and coach Tom Thibodeau probably wants to see him in a few practices before really plugging him into the rotation, especially given Fredette's reputation as a poor defender. He projects as a perimeter shooter with a spot-minute role off the bench.

Sun Mar 2 201410:18Jimmer Fredette officially signs with CHI
Jimmer Fredette has officially signed with the Bulls for the remainder of the season.
While Fredette offers the Bulls some much needed 3-point shooting (currently they rank 27th) it's unlikely he will offer much fantasy value for owners in standard leagues. However, if you're in a deep league and desperate for some treys, Fredette could make for an intriguing add.

Sat Mar 1 201417:12Jimmer Fredette clears waivers, signs w/ CHI
Jimmer Fredette has officially cleared waivers and will sign with the Bulls, as expected.
The signing has a more profound effect on the Bulls' playoff odds than it does in fantasy leagues, where Fredette's scoring and 3-point shooting are unlikely to give him value in standard leagues. Tom Thibodeau has essentially been using an eight-man rotation with Taj Gibson, D.J. Augustin and Tony Snell off the bench, and Jimmer isn't likely to earn much playing time while the backcourt is healthy.

Sat Mar 1 201409:17Jimmer Fredette verbally commits to Bulls
Jimmer Fredette has verbally committed to signing with the Bulls if he clears waivers, according to USA Today.
This confirms previous reports and it seems like a good fit for both sides. The Bulls rank 27th in 3-pointers made this season and could use a perimeter sniper like Jimmer, whose defensive shortcomings may be less glaring in Tom Thibodeau's defense which is allowing an elite 92.3 points per game. Fredette is worth a look for deep-league owners hunting 3-pointers, but not much else.

Thu Feb 27 201416:35Kings officially buy out Jimmer Fredette
The Kings officially bought out Jimmer Fredette's contract on Thursday, freeing him to sign with another team.
The Bulls, Cavaliers and Grizzlies all reportedly have interest in Jimmer, who is averaging 0.9 three-pointers this season on stellar 49.3 percent shooting beyond the arc. His defensive weaknesses are glaring but in the right situation he could find a productive niche off a good team's bench. Just don't expect him to surface with reliable fantasy value, no matter where he lands.

Thu Feb 27 201409:18Jimmer Fredette headed to Chicago Bulls?
The Chicago Bulls are rumored to be interested in Jimmer Fredette once he receives a buyout from the Kings.
The Kings' rumored buyout of Fredette has been happening at glacial pace, but he needs to be signed by Saturday in order to be eligible for the playoffs so Thursday could be the day the two sides part ways. Fredette's fantasy value is likely limited to deep leagues no matter where he lands, but he could provide a boost in 3-pointers as a member of the Bulls since Chicago is in desperate need of an outside shooter.

Tue Feb 25 201420:21Jimmer Fredette won't play Tuesday
With a buyout looming, Jimmer Fredette will not play on Tuesday.
Fredette will eventually become a free agent and a team like the Knicks could probably use his services.

Tue Feb 25 201409:55Jimmer Fredette close to being bought out
The Sacramento Kings are finalizing a buyout with Jimmer Fredette.
The Kings were unable to find a taker for the 25-year-old before Thursday's trade deadline, so it looks like The Jimmer Era in Sacramento will come to an end via buyout. Once he is bought out, Fredette has until Saturday to hook on with a playoff team so there could be an ounce of fantasy value left here for owners searching for 3-pointers in deep leagues.

Thu Feb 20 201409:40Woj: Second-round pick could get Fredette
The Kings are trying to find a buyer for Jimmer Fredette and he could be had for as little as a second-round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
With such a low price tag it would make sense for Jimmer to be moved at some point on Thursday. He's been dealing with an illness and played just four minutes on Wednesday, and has also failed to live up to the hype surrounding him when he left college. A change of scenery would likely serve him well.
