Thompson started and played 24 minutes Thursday against the Mavericks, but he missed all four of his shots in the lopsided defeat.
Thompson has averaged 30.9 minutes over the first eight games of the season but is coming in with lackluster averages of 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.6 blocks. That being said, he should still be on a roster in deeper leagues with these averages as he continues to make improvements during his second year in the league.

Thompson (eye) was able to put up 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, and one steal during 32 minutes of action against the Nets on Monday.
Thompson has been able to play in three preseason games since being sidelined with an eye injury. As his recent availability denotes, he no longer is held back by the eye injury and should be good to go when the 76ers start their regular season on Oct. 29 against the Pacers.
Wed Oct 15 201414:11Thompson (eye) returned to practice Wednesday
Thompson (eye) returned to practice Wednesday, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Thompson suffered a corneal abrasion last week, causing him to miss Friday's preseason game versus Minnesota. Although it's unclear when Thompson will be available to play in game action, his return to practice Wednesday is at least a move in the right direction.

Thompson suffered a corneal abrasion last week and did not play in Friday's preseason game against Minnesota. Coach Brett Brown said they don't have a firm return timetable, but he expects Thompson to be sidelined for another week.

Thompson (eye) will miss Friday's preseason game against the Timberwolves.
Thompson left Wednesday's preseason contest against the Bobcats after being hit in the eye and will miss Friday's game as a result of the injury. However, he is considered day-to-day and shouldn't be in danger of missing any time in the regular season.

Thompson will not return to Wednesday's game against the Bobcats after being hit in the eye and suffering a corneal abrasion, the Philly Inquirer reports.
Thompson got the start in Wednesday night's preseason game, but was forced from the outing early in the first quarter. In the three minutes he played, Thompson went 1-for-2 from the floor, with two points and one rebound. We should get an update after the game on how long this could keep him out for.
Sun Jul 6 201417:07Hollis Thompson sidelined by sore left knee
Sixers SF Hollis Thompson (sore left knee) will not play in Sunday's Summer League game.
There is no indication that Thompson's injury is serious and it makes sense to rest him in a mid-summer exhibition with nothing at stake but player development. Philly is also holding out Nerlens Noel for purely precautionary reasons.

Sat Mar 22 201419:16Hollis Thompson back in the starting lineup
Hollis Thompson will start against the Bulls on Saturday.
With Tony Wroten out, it would have been a surprise to see the Sixers go with anyone else. Thompson does not really shoot the ball enough to be picked up in standard leagues, so there's little reason to pick him up.

Fri Mar 21 201418:23Hollis Thompson moves to the bench
Hollis Thompson will come off the bench against the Knicks on Friday night.
It could just be a matchup decision for coach Brett Brown here, but it doesn't really matter as far as the stats go. While the Sixers are healthy, Thompson doesn't shoot the ball enough while he doesn't do much on the defensive end. He can be let loose in most fantasy formats.

Wed Mar 19 201422:08Hollis Thompson crashes back to earth
Hollis Thompson came back to earth on Monday with two points in 19 minutes.
He went nuts for one of his best games of the season on Monday against the Pacers, racking up 17 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and four 3-pointers. And the reality is that it usually takes him a couple weeks to rack up those kind of numbers. Continue to ignore him, which you will have no problem doing if you throw out Monday's game and look at the rest of his game log.

Tue Mar 4 201408:47Sixers think Hollis Thompson is a keeper
The Sixers think Hollis Thompson can be part of their long term plans.
A week after coach Brett Brown called Thompson, "a keeper", he added to his praise of the rookie. "Who is Hollis Thompson? We're trying to take a shooter and a pretty good athlete, and maybe get some weight on him as he gets older and get him playing defense," Brown said. "If we do that, there's a place for him." Thompson is averaging 23.6 minutes per game over his last five contests, but has only averaged 5.6 points, 3.0 boards, and 1.0 assists over that span. The Sixers may like Thompson as a keeper, but fantasy owners won't find a whole lot of value in the Georgetown alum this season.

Sun Mar 2 201421:14Hollis Thompson invisible in 25 minutes
Hollis Thompson was invisible in another start on Sunday, going scoreless without a single rebound, assist, steal or block in 25 minutes.
Thompson continues to play around 25 minutes per game, almost by default given the Sixers' roster, but he hasn't come close to providing standard-league fantasy value. We'll let you know if he picks up the pace.

Wed Feb 26 201421:54Hollis Thompson scores six in start
Hollis Thompson was back in the starting lineup for the Sixers on Wednesday and had six points, seven rebounds, a block and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
It looks like the Sixers are about to play musical lineups on a nightly basis, and if Thompson isn't a full-time starter, there's no reason to give him much of a look right now.

Wed Feb 26 201418:15Hollis Thompson finally in starting lineup
Hollis Thompson will start against the Magic on Wednesday.
He was arguably the favorite to start at the time of the trade deadline and perhaps his ankle kept him to a bench role. Thompson has been quiet since the deadline, averaging 7.5 points, 3.0 boards, 1.0 steals and 1.0 triples. He's only worth a look in deep leagues.

Mon Feb 24 201422:40Thompson plays 22 minutes off the bench
Hollis Thompson logged 22 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Bucks, scoring eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, four assists, two steals and one block.
Thompson didn't get it done with the minutes or scoring but he was solid everywhere else and it's unclear if he's at 100 percent with his ankle. Look for him to have a solid rotation slot on a team known for its fantasy system, making him worth a look in most standard formats and worth a speculative add for those that want to bet he can step into a bigger role than he has had all season.

Fri Feb 21 201422:37Hollis Thompson plays 19 minutes
Hollis Thompson played 19 minutes in his return to the lineup on Friday with seven points, five boards and one 3-pointer.
He missed three games due to a sprained ankle and might not be back to 100 percent. Thompson played a little power forward as the Sixers went small on occasion and he does have some versatility. He won't have much of an upside even if he cracks the starting unit, but the minutes could be there for owners in deeper formats.

Fri Feb 21 201417:46Hollis Thompson will come off the bench
Hollis Thompson will come off the bench against the Mavericks on Friday.
He's active for the game, but he's not a total lock to play after missing three games with an ankle sprain. Thompson was probably the better bet to start over Elliot Williams, which is a bit of a red flag on his injury. He shouldn't be in lineups tonight, but he's still a pickup in deep leagues.

Wed Feb 19 201413:12Hollis Thompson (ankle) may return Friday
Hollis Thompson (ankle) will practice on Thursday in the hopes that he can return to action during Friday's game.
The Sixers would love to get their rookie back on the court, but his availability doesn't mean much for fantasy purposes. Even while starting 18 games this season, Thompson has posted quiet averages of 6.9 points, 0.8 threes, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.7 steals.

Tue Feb 18 201417:35Hollis Thompson (ankle) out again on Tuesday
Hollis Thompson (ankle) will miss his third straight game on Tuesday.
His absence means extra playing time for Elliot Williams, James Anderson and Evan Turner, but shouldn't cause any waves for fantasy owners. He'll get two more days of rest before a possible return for Friday's home game vs. the Mavericks.
