Free agent forward Paul Millsap signed a multi-year contract with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, making official what had been reported earlier.While the club did not divulge the details, multiple outlets previously reported the agreement was for three years and $90 million.Millsap talked with the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns before deciding to sign with the Nuggets.Millsap was an All-Star with the Atlanta Hawks each of the past four seasons.The 11-year veteran will be paired with budding star center Nikola Jokic, giving the Nuggets the makings of a powerful frontcourt.The 6-foot-8 Millsap averaged 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game last season. He is a strong interior defender, something the Nuggets need after ranking 29th of 30 teams in defensive efficiency last season.Millsap averaged 24.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the Hawks' first-round playoff loss to the Washington Wizards in April.

Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks were unanimous selections on the NBA All-Rookie Team, the NBA announced Thursday.Joining Towns and Porzingis on the first team are Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers.The second team consists of Miami's Justise Winslow, the Los Angeles Lakers' D'Angelo Russell, Denver's Emmanuel Mudiay, Indiana's Myles Turner and Sacramento's Willie Cauley-Stein.Towns averaged 18.3 points and 10.5 rebounds while unanimously winning top rookie honors. The league announced Towns as Rookie of the Year on Monday.Porzingis averaged 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds, while Booker averaged 13.8 points and made 99 3-point baskets.Jokic averaged 10 points and seven rebounds per game, while Okafor averaged 17.7 points and seven rebounds.

Jokic accrued 14 points (6-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, and three steals over 20 minutes in Thursday's exhibition win over the Bulls.

Jokic provided a huge spark off the bench that allowed the Nuggets to pull away in this one, as the team was plus-28 while he was on the court. The 6-foot-11 Serbian has enjoyed an excellent preseason through three games (12.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals in 20.4 minutes per contest), but he's still been outshone by fellow big man Joffrey Lauvergne, who has posted double-doubles in two of those three games. As a result, Lauvergne looks like the leading candidate to replace the injured Jusuf Nurkic (knee) in the starting lineup early on, but Jokic may have at least vaulted himself ahead of J.J. Hickson as the top backup option to this point in training camp.

Jokic played in five summer league games and registered 8.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 0.8 steals in 21 minutes per game.

The 253-pound Serbian center struggled with his shot in limited action, converting 46 percent from the field, 2-of-7 three-pointers, and 4-of-7 free-throws. International centers don't traditionally thrive their first few seasons in the NBA, much less a 20-year-old positioned to backup Jusuf Nurkic (knee). Jokic flashed plenty of skill during summer league, but he'll have to adjust to the speed and grind of the NBA game before garnering meaningful playing time.

Jokic has agreed to terms on a four-year, $5.5 million contract with the Nuggets, ESPN reports.

Jokic was selected 41st overall in the 2014 draft, but remained in Europe with Mega Vizura last season. However, coming off impressive averages of 16.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 block in Adriatic & Serbian League play, the 20-year-old is now ready to try his hand at the NBA level. As his numbers suggest, the 6-10 forward is a highly versatile player whose progress heading into the upcoming campaign could make him a sleeper in deeper fantasy leagues.

Jokic will be available for the start of the Las Vegas Summer League on Friday, Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reports.

The 2014 second-rounder is expected to be a part of the Nuggets' regular season roster after spending last season overseas. He went through a full practice Thursday and figures to see significant run in Vegas.

The Nuggets selected Jokic with the 41st overall pick in the 2014 draft, but he spent the past season overseas. Jokic, a 20-year-old center, averaged 15.4 points and 9.3 rebounds in 24 games for Mega Leks, which competes in the Adriatic League. It's unclear what type of role he'll have with the Nuggets, but he's expected to play in the Las Vegas Summer League next month, so that will be a great chance for the team to evaluate where he might fit on the roster.

Jokic spent all of last season in the Adriatic League after being selected in the second round by the Nuggets in the 2014 draft.
