Ennis made his first career start Saturday, scoring seven points (3-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt) with four rebounds, 11 assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

With both Michael Carter-Williams (ankle) and Jerryd Bayless (ankle) out, Ennis was thrust into the starting lineup and wasn't disappointing. His shot needs work, but he contributed well in key point guard stats. In his last four games, he's averaged 4.8 assists in just 18 minutes, so if you need a bump in assists, Ennis may be worth a look, especially if MCW remains out.

With ankle injuries afflicting Michael Carter-Williams and Jerryd Bayless, Ennis is the sole point guard option available to coach Jason Kidd. In 11 games with the Bucks, Ennis' per-36 numbers equate to 12.8 points (on 40 percent shooting), 4.9 assists, 2.7 rebounds, two steals, and 1.3 three-pointers per game.

Ennis made his Bucks debut with 18 minutes off the bench against the Nuggets on Friday. He finished the game with four points, one rebound, two assists, and one steal.

The current injury to Michael Carter-Williams (toe) allowed some playing time to open up for Ennis on Friday. When it's all said and done the 18 minutes that Ennis played against the Nuggets may be the high-end in what to expect from him for the remainder of the season as he's currently the third option at point guard in Milwaukee when all players are healthy.

Ennis has a chance to see extended time on the court Friday since Michael Carter-Williams (toe) will not play. In the long run Ennis is not expected to see significant time on the court, but the immediate future for the rookie holds some promise.

Ennis is currently buried on a Suns depth chart that is filled with point guards. At this point, it would require a special circumstance for Ennis to see significant minutes on the court for Phoenix.

Ennis will not play Monday against the Knicks, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports.

Ennis is dealing with a minor knee injury and will be held out after returning from the D-League on Saturday. With Shawne Williams and Dwyane Wade also out, Miami will be shorthanded on the wing, meaning Tyler Johnson should see increased minutes off the bench.

Ennis, who has seen time in only eight games for the Suns this season, is averaging 19.6 points and 5.1 assists in seven D-League contests.

Ennis isn't expected to play significant minutes with the Suns and will likely head back down to the D-League in the near future.

Even the sub-par stat line doesn't tell the story. Ennis really couldn't use his left hand at all today and just never really got into a rhythm. He's going to be extremely expendable with the Suns having a three-headed monster at point guard.
