Tue Nov 7 202315:42MRI Confirms Adductor Strain For Terry Rozier
An MRI confirmed that Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (groin) is dealing with a left adductor strain, ruling him out for the team's next two games. The Hornets will host the Washington Wizards on Wednesday before paying a visit to the nation's capital on Friday, and Rozier is set to be absent for both meetings. The 29-year-old combo guard strained his groin during the later stages of Saturday's narrow 125-124 win over the Indiana Pacers, and his next real shot to return arrives on Sunday when Charlotte travels to New York to face the Knicks. Adductor strains tend to be multi-week absences, however. Rozier leaves behind 22.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game, with No. 2 overall pick Brandon Miller in line to take all the run he can handle in the meantime. Cody Martin (knee) is yet to make his 2023-24 debut due to a knee injury, leaving head coach Steve Clifford's rotation even thinner than it already was.

Sun Nov 5 202314:27Terry Rozier Questionable Against Dallas
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Mavericks. The 29-year-old has had a quality 2023-24 campaign, averaging a career-high 22 points. However, he suffered a groin injury in Saturday's showdown with the Pacers and is now in danger of missing his first game of the year. Nonetheless, if Rozier doesn't play, Theo Maledon or Brandon Miller would likely slide into the starting lineup while potentially seeing an uptick in production.

Sat Apr 1 202323:58Terry Rozier Out Again Versus The Raptors
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (foot) is out again on Sunday versus the Raptors. The 29-year-old has missed the last three games because of right foot discomfort. Considering Charlotte has nothing left to play for, Rozier may have already played his final game this season. That said, Dennis Smith Jr. (foot) is questionable, so Theo Maledon could be starting against Toronto. Maledon has averaged 13.0 points, 8.7 assists, and 1.3 blocks in three starts during the 2022-23 campaign, so there's something there for DFS managers if Smith doesn't suit up.

Mon Mar 27 202322:46Terry Rozier Out Again On Tuesday Evening
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (foot) won't play on Tuesday in OKC. Rozier will now miss his third consecutive game because of a sore foot. Considering Charlotte's season is unofficially over, fantasy managers may not see him back until the 2023-24 campaign. Nevertheless, it will be business as usual on Tuesday night, with Dennis Smith Jr. sliding into the starting lineup. Smith has averaged 10.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.9 steals in 15 starts this season. His production could increase even more if Gordon Hayward (thumb) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (shoulder) don't play, either.

Fri Mar 24 202315:26Terry Rozier Unlikely To Play On Friday
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (foot) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The veteran guard exited early on Thursday due to right foot discomfort. At this point, it seems unlikely that the Hornets are going to push Rozier back on the court considering they aren't in the playoff hunt anyway. Luckily, Dennis Smith Jr. (illness) is considered probable for this game. He'd likely slide into the starting five and see a boost in fantasy value. Also, Gordon Hayward would probably see more time as well considering he played some point guard during Thursday's contest.

Thu Mar 23 202320:58Terry Rozier Doubtful To Return On Thursday
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (foot) is considered doubtful to return for Thursday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He was only able to play 10 minutes before exiting due to right foot discomfort. There's a good chance that the Hornets decide to hold out Rozier for the rest of the night. Dennis Smith Jr. would see the biggest boost with Rozier sidelined. Bryce McGowens and Svi Mykhailiuk will likely also pick up additional playing time. Fantasy managers will have to check back for another update on Rozier.

LeBron James Injury Update

James injured his right foot during the third quarter of Sunday's comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was a tense few seconds after the multi-time MVP clutched his foot after suffering what was deemed a "non-contact injury." The concern grew to greater heights after he was overheard saying, "I heard a pop." Situations like this are never good, as many were concerned that an Achilles tear could be the culprit.https://twitter.com/FanDuelTV/status/1630602449227595777?s=20Yet, after James gathered himself, he tightened his shoe and finished the game, totaling 26 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Head coach Darvin Ham appeared optimistic while speaking postgame, stating the 38-year-old was "good."However, that couldn't be further from the case, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that James would "miss an extended period of time" because of the foot injury. Charania later added that the all-time scoring leader would "require multiple opinions."https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1630363560051187712?s=20

LeBron James' Season Recap

Despite James' advanced NBA age, he's still productive. In 47 appearances, he's averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. While his three-point percentage has regressed, that's never been his strong suit.James was also named an All-Star captain while recently passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader.https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1623184801284104192?s=20That said, despite some high-level accomplishments, the year has been a rough one for the 2003 No. 1 overall pick. He's battled left foot soreness for nearly the entire season, so much so that he routinely carried some type of injury designation heading into almost all of his games over the last few months.... Fri Feb 24 202315:12Terry Rozier Likely To Play On Friday Versus Minnesota
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (hand) was unable to play in the team's last game before the break but is now listed as probable for their first game back on Friday. The fact he only had to miss one game is great news for fantasy managers heading into the home stretch. The 28-year-old should move right back into the starting lineup even though Kelly Oubre Jr. is also returning, and he shouldn't take much of a fantasy value hit either.

Kyrie Irving's Season Recap

Irving got suspended for an antisemitic social media post, keeping him out of the lineup for eight games. But since then, the 30-year-old stayed out of the limelight, so most had assumed he finally turned things around. He's played well all season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 40 appearances.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1622324668047794177?s=20&t=NTffJ2tRvNpjAA7bddjYHQHe was also selected to the All-Star team for the eighth time in his career. He shot 5-for-11 from deep and capped off his performance with six rebounds, seven assists and one block. Rozier is enjoying a career year in Charlotte, averaging 21.7 points per game with 4.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

Marcus Smart Injury Update

The Celtics were without Jayson Tatum for Saturday's meeting with Toronto, as the MVP candidate got the day off to deal with wrist soreness. Luckily, the C's recently got Jaylen Brown back from a three-game layoff, so the team at least had its No. 2 scoring option. Boston also had Marcus Smart, who is proficient on both ends of the floor.Unfortunately, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year's evening didn't last long, as he exited in the first half after suffering a sprained right ankle. Smart has battled ankle injuries throughout his career, so fantasy managers are familiar with this.https://twitter.com/ChrisForsberg_/status/1616933981362028546?s=20&t=ADA6dM_t2muMcgq6cJRitwWhile X-ray results were encouraging, revealing no structural damage, he'll likely miss a game or two, possibly more. Thu Jan 19 202311:44Terry Rozier Leads The Way To A Win On Wednesday
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier took over after LaMelo Ball (ankle) left the game and was able to push the team to a 122-117 victory over the Houston Rockets. The eighth-year combo guard was able to post 26 points, six assists, two rebounds, two steals, and one block while shooting 11-for-24 from the floor and 3-for-12 from three. His three-point shooting wasn't at his best but he was still able to score enough despite only getting a single free throw all game. If Ball has to miss extended time again, Rozier's value goes way up as the focal point of the offense.

LaMelo Ball Injury Update

LaMelo Ball exited Monday's meeting with the Rockets with a sprained left ankle. This is an all too familiar ailment, as the 21-year-old injured it twice already this season. He missed the first 13 games of the 2022-23 campaign because of it before making his season debut on November 12 against Miami.https://twitter.com/HornetsOnBally/status/1615898994508546048?s=20&t=2ONmwk9cIuX1k5z8xOpxsQUnfortunately, the 2020 No. 3 overall pick was incapacitated again after stepping on a fan's foot during a matchup with Indiana just a few days later, keeping him sidelined for an additional 11 games. Sat Jan 7 202307:58Terry Rozier Racks Up Season-High 39 Points
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier was on a roll Friday with a season-high 39 points as the team handed Milwaukee an embarrassing 138-109 home loss. He shot 15-for-29 from the field, including 6-for-15 from downtown, and collected two rebounds with four assists and one steal. Rozier has been a changed man in 2023 so far, averaging 29.0 points per game with 40-percent shooting from outside. He has found himself in a favorable situation with injuries taking out Gordon Hayward (hamstring) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (hand). Rozier should continue to roll Sunday against a poor Pacers defense.

Fri Dec 23 202217:21Terry Rozier Earns Questionable Designation For Friday
Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Terry Rozier (hip) has been listed as questionable to play in Friday's contest vs. the Lakers due to a right hip contusion that has kept him sidelined for the past two outings. Rozier's absence has coincided with the team getting both LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward back in the mix, while Kelly Oubre Jr. has continued to play a large offensive role. Rozier enjoyed a dominant nine-game stretch over the past month where he averaged 24.9 PPG, but with Charlotte getting healthy again, his scoring upside is likely limited moving into 2023. That being said, all healthy Hornets will stand to have increased DFS upside Friday as the Lakers allow the most DFS points per contest in the league.

Wed Dec 21 202221:28Terry Rozier Downgraded To Out On Wednesday
Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier (hip) won't play against the Clippers. He was listed as doubtful, so fantasy managers had expected this all along. Kelly Oubre Jr. will slide over and take Rozier's spot in the backcourt alongside LaMelo Ball. Theo Maledon, who had 12 points, seven rebounds, and a steal in 26 minutes in the win over Sacramento, should also see an uptick in production.

Mon Dec 19 202216:37Terry Rozier Unlikely To Suit Up For Monday’s Game
Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Terry Rozier (hip) has been deemed doubtful to play in Monday's contest against the Kings due a right hip contusion. Rozier is coming off a strong nine-game stretch in which he averaged 21.8 field-goal attempts per contest, drawing a massive usage rate at the heart of the Charlotte offense; his absence in the backcourt figures to open up playing time for Bryce McGowens and Theo Maledon, while elevating the DFS stocks of LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward and Kelly Oubre Jr. Even as he has seen his overall field-goal percentage dip to 39.6 percent, Rozier is on pace for a new career high in scoring (20.9 points) and dimes (5.5 assists) per contest this year.
