Tue Oct 19 202113:43Chris Boucher Gets Back To Practice On Tuesday
Toronto Raptors forward Chris Boucher (finger) returned to practice on Tuesday, which is a good sign for Wednesday's season opener. The Raptors are hopeful that Boucher will be cleared in time for Wednesday's matchup. Otherwise, Khem Birch and Precious Achiuwa would see more minutes, but neither is worth a look in DFS contests. Boucher is dealing with a minor finger injury, so at worst it should only cost him one game. Fantasy managers should check back for another update on Wednesday.

Wed Oct 13 202114:41Chris Boucher About 10 Days Away From Returning
Toronto Raptors center Chris Boucher (finger) underwent surgery on his dislocated left middle finger last week. He was originally given a timeline of three-to-four weeks, but it sounds like he could be back sooner. On Tuesday, Raptors coach Nick Nurse was on SiriusXM NBA Radio and he stated that Boucher was about 10 days away from returning. If that timeline holds true, he might only miss about three or four games at the start of the year. The 28-year-old is coming off of his best season in the NBA. He averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game while shooting 51.4% from the field. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on him as a source of blocks in the middle rounds of drafts.

Wed Oct 6 202118:33Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher Headline Absences For Thursday
Toronto Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam (shoulder) and center Chris Boucher (finger) are the two big names that are set to miss Thursday's preseason contest vs. Philadelphia. Joining them on the sidelines are Khem Birch (health and safety protocols) and Yuta Watanabe (calf), giving the team an extremely thin frontcourt. Precious Achiuwa drew the start in the preseason opener and logged 25 minutes, while Justin Champagnie notched a double-double off the bench. Scottie Barnes also stands to benefit in the short-term as Toronto acclimates its new faces to the rotation. Siakam is still set to be the primary fantasy focal point for the Raptors this year, although his timetable for a return to action remains unclear.

Mon Oct 4 202117:56Chris Boucher Out For The Preseason Opener
Toronto Raptors forward/center Chris Boucher (finger) won't suit up for the preseason opener against the visiting 76ers. The big man dislocated his left middle finger, so the team will give him the night off and likely a few others heading toward the regular season while he recovers. Pascal Siakam (shoulder) is also rehabbing from surgery, and Khem Birch will be out while adhering to the league's health and safety protocols surrounding COVID-19, leaving a significant void underneath the rim on Monday night. As a result, fourth overall selection Scottie Barnes may slide over to the power forward spot, with Precious Achiuwa holding things down in the middle. Boucher averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 boards, and 1.9 blocks during the abbreviated 2020 campaign, so hopefully, he won't miss any time when the new year officially begins in just over a few weeks.

Sat Aug 7 202114:19Chris Boucher To Spend Time At The Four This Year
Toronto Raptors center Chris Boucher is slated to spend time as a power forward this season. With Pascal Siakam (shoulder) likely to miss a month or two moving ahead, Boucher's fantasy stock is on the rise. Although he may not start, at least consistently, the 28-year-old still has a higher ceiling than most with a similar role. He averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 points, and 1.9 blocks while shooting 38.3 percent from deep throughout 60 games last season, so managers looking for value toward the later rounds of fantasy drafts shouldn't look past him.

Mon May 3 202102:31Lowry leads depleted Raptors past Lakers; LeBron exits early
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Lakers were dealt another disappointing loss, this time by the short-handed Toronto Raptors. But seeing LeBron James head to the locker room early served as a reminder it could have been much worse. James left with 6:42 to play as the Raptors defeated the Lakers 121-114 on Sunday night. Los Angeles coach Frank Vogel said it was a precautionary move to pull James in his second game back after missing 20 because of a sprained right ankle. James said he would wait to see how his ankle felt before deciding if he could play against Denver on Monday, but acknowledged it has yet to hold up for an entire game. “The first half, it feels really good. Obviously warming up for the game, everything is going well,” said James, who had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists. “Last two games at halftime, you know, after the break, it’s kind of gotten a little sore on me — a little tight. "And obviously Coach decided not to put me back in towards the end because of... [More]
