G Jason Terry added 19 points off the bench on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor,

Terry expects to log more minutes at shooting guard during the upcoming season, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Terry was forced into action as the starting point guard for the Rockets during the playoff last season after Patrick Beverley underwent surgery in late March to repair torn ligaments in his left wrist. With Beverley back to full health and the Rockets adding Ty Lawson to their point-guard stable in the offseason, Terry will move over to his more natural two-guard spot, where he'll settle into a reserve role behind James Harden.

Terry signed a one-year, $1.5 million deal to re-sign with the Rockets on Tuesday, the Times-Picayune's John Reid reports.

Terry had an offer from the Pelicans, but the situation in Houston must have appealed to him more. Unfortunately, his fantasy value figures to slip as a result of the signing. Terry will now have to contend with Ty Lawson and Patrick Beverley for playing time at point guard and James Harden and Corey Brewer for minutes at the two.

Terry averaged 7.0 points, 1.6 three-pointers, 1.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 0.9 steals in 21 minutes per game through 77 games in 2014-15.

At 37 years old, the 16-year NBA veteran, who will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, started in 18 games in place of an injured Patrick Beverley. Terry's efficiency (42% FG, 39% 3Pt, 81% FT) was decent considering he played a bigger role than what was expected coming into the season. With age, Terry's production has continually dropped, posting his second lowest average in points, rebounds, assists, and minutes of his career this season. The point guard slot was a major question mark in Houston this season, and the team will most likely try to acquire a viable option there this offseason, after James Harden made his plea for the team to add a point guard in free agency. Should Terry re-sign with the Rockets, he should continue being used in a supporting role off the bench.

Terry said that he intends to return for a 17th NBA season in 2015-16, ESPN reports. "One hundred percent," Terry said Monday.

The veteran will be a free agent this offseason, but after a strong playoffs showing it's clear he still has plenty left in the tank. He'll be an unrestricted free agent come July, and the Rockets are expected to attempt to bring Terry back next season. In the final year of a three-year, $15.6 million contract, Houston would likely be able to bring him back at a cheaper, short-term price tag. Rockets center Dwight Howard praised Terry for his leadership when queried on the subject earlier in the playoffs. "He's been a great veteran to our team, a great voice in the locker room, a great voice on the court wherever it may be," Howard said. "He's been consistent all year. He's done an excellent job bringing myself and James [Harden] closer as teammates and also as leaders of this team."

Terry scored four points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt) with three assists and one steal in the blowout loss to the Warriors on Saturday.

Terry has been a liability for Houston on both ends of floor, failing to be a significant 3-point threat in game three while getting torched by Step h Curry for 40 points. Terry is a player to avoid in DFS formats.

Terry has been dealing with minor soreness in both of his hamstrings but he's not expected to miss any time off the court, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Terry's ailing hamstrings can likely be chalked up to the normal wear and tear of a long regular season followed up by the physicality of the playoffs. He'll continue to be the starter for Houston's second round series against the Clippers which tips off Monday.

Terry scored 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt) with four rebounds, one assist and two steals in 26 minutes Saturday.

Terry provided a solid complement to James Harden in the baccourt and has actually scored in double-digits in three of his last four games, stretching back to the end of the regular season. In addition to that, he's nailed a total of 14 three-pointers in those four games as well and will need to provide a threat next to Harden for the remainder of the postseason with Patrick Beverley (wrist) sidelined.

Terry (neck) had 7 points (3-10 FG, 1-7 3Pt) in 21 minutes.

Terry will continue to start with Patrick Beverley out for the season, but his production is nothing to brag about. He's averaging 7.8 points in 24 minutes over his last five games.

Terry (neck) is considered probable Wednesday against Sacramento.

Terry keeps appearing on the Rockets' injury report, but it's highly unlikely he misses Wednesday's game. With Patrick Beverley done for the season, Terry has moved into the starting lineup and will be a key cog in the rotation moving forward.

Terry scored eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt) in 25 minutes Monday against the Raptors.

Terry didn't provide any other contributions Monday and even though he is starting, he is not going to provide much outside of three-pointers on a nightly basis.

Terry (undisclosed) is listed as probable for Monday's game, Fox 26's Mark Berman reports.

This is a basically a formality, but it is worth mentioning that he appeared on the injury report. Look for Terry to start at point guard and play 20-25 minutes in Monday's game.

Terry had five points, two assists, and a rebound in 19 minutes Sunday as the starting point guard.

Terry has had just one good game since moving into the starting lineup for the injured Patrick Beverley. He has bookended his 17 point outing against Minnesota with two and five point performances. Pablo Prigioni actually played more minutes (29) than Terry did on Sunday.

Terry had two points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists, two rebounds and four turnovers in 27 minutes on Wednesday.

Disappointing game from Terry starting at point guard. Expect him to step it up in the Rockets' next game on Friday against the Timberwolves. Terry is filling in for Patrick Beverley who is currently deciding on whether or not to have season ending wrist surgery. Despite Wednesday's dud, Terry might be a solid pick up if your backcourt needs some depth.

Terry won't necessarily take on typical starter's minutes, but Patrick Beverley's absence still makes the 37-year-old guard a player of interest in some leagues. While the Rockets suggested Beverley will likely miss multiple games, coach Kevin McHale said he expects Pablo Prigioni and possibly Nick Johnson to help out with some of the missing minutes. It's more than you can reliably count on, but Terry has averaged 34.5 minutes in six starts this season.

Terry (hamstring) scored six points (2-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT) to go along with two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes Monday against the Pacers.

Terry has now scored eight points or less in each of his last eight games, playing more than 20 minutes only once over that stretch. He provides the Rockets with a solid shooting option off of the bench, but has very limited fantasy value.

Terry (hamstring) is probable for Monday's game at Indiana.

Look for him to take the court against the Pacers, and with Patrick Beverley (elbow) questionable, there is a chance Terry could see an uptick in minutes Monday.

Terry missed two games due to a hamstring injury, but it appears he'll be fine moving forward. Still, he's averaging just 6.7 points and 1.6 threes a game this season, making him a fringe option even in the deepest of leagues.

Absent the last two contests due to a minor hamstring concern, Terry's optimism that he would play Saturday has come to pass. In eight contests this month, he's averaged five points (on 42 percent shooting), 1.4 assists, 1.1 rebounds, 1.1 three-pointers, and 0.9 steals in 18 minutes.

Terry isn't likely to exceed the 20-minute mark in his return, but the Rockets might ask him to fire off a few more shots than usual if Trevor Ariza (illness) is unable to play. Still, Terry is a low-usage, low-efficiency player at this point in his career and is no more than a peripheral fantasy consideration in most scenarios.
