Tue Dec 21 202118:17Derrick Rose Unavailable For Tuesday
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. This doesn't come as much of a surprise considering he has been battling an ankle issue over the last few days. His absence should push Kemba Walker into a bigger role on Tuesday. He has been playing well in the absence of Rose. Although, it's uncertain if he'll maintain a role in the rotation once Rose is back on the court. Until then, Walker has streaming appeal and is a possible DFS option for Tuesday's slate.

Mon Dec 20 202118:04Derrick Rose Could Sit Out Against Pistons
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He exited early during Thursday's matchup due to a sore right ankle. After that, Rose sat out of Saturday and it sounds like he'll likely sit out another contest. Kemba Walker dropped 29 points with six rebounds, three assists during Saturday's game. That being said, the Knicks are likely to give him another start, assuming Rose is out. Walker could have some streaming appeal and DFS value while Rose is out.

Fri Dec 17 202121:58Derrick Rose Earns Questionable Tag For Saturday
New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose (ankle) has been listed as questionable to play in Saturday's game against the Celtics due to a sore right ankle. Rose has been bumped back into the starting five over the past three games due to widespread injuries and COVID-19 issues on the roster, so an absence would leave the team shorthanded in the backcourt. While Alec Burks and Evan Fournier were already in line for larger offensive roles, Kemba Walker could be a name to keep an eye on in DFS lineups if the Knicks hold Rose out; if healthy, he'll be looking to flip the script on a 3-for-11 shooting performance from his last time out against Boston.

Tue Nov 30 202118:38RJ Barrett, Derrick Rose Cleared To Suit Up Tuesday
New York Knicks small forward RJ Barrett (illness) and shooting guard Derrick Rose (ankle) have been given the green light to take the floor for Tuesday's game against the Nets. Barrett is yet to miss an outing this season, although he has scuffled over his five previous contests to the tune of shooting just 35.2 percent overall. Rose returns to action after a three-game absence due to a sprained ankle, and is set to give New York a much-needed jolt of offensive punch on its second unit. With the backcourt fully healthy, Tuesday will be fantasy managers' first glimpse into how head coach Tom Thibodeau plans on deploying the new-look group with Kemba Walker out of the mix and Alec Burks entrenched as the starting point guard.

Mon Nov 29 202114:58Derrick Rose Tagged As Questionable For Tuesday
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. He has missed each of the last three games, while dealing with ankle soreness. Kemba Walker is out of the rotation, which should mean more minutes for guys like Alec Burks, Immanuel Quickley, and Rose. Quickley would benefit the most if Rose is forced out of action on Tuesday. That means, Burks and Quickley would have plenty of fantasy value in the upcoming weeks.

Sat Nov 27 202118:55Kemba Walker, Derrick Rose Ruled Out For Saturday
New York Knicks point guards Kemba Walker (rest) and Derrick Rose (ankle) will be sidelined for Saturday's contest against the Hawks. The absence of the veteran duo figures to funnel the vast majority of PG minutes in the direction of Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett, while Alec Burks will stand to take on an elevated role among the team's second unit. Rose's absence will be his third in a row, with Quickley getting an extended look, which gives him short-term season-long stream appeal. The next chance for either Walker or Rose to suit up comes Tuesday vs. Brooklyn.

Fri Nov 26 202117:43Derrick Rose To Miss Another One On Friday Night
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) won't play on Friday against Phoenix, marking his second straight absence. The veteran is currently dealing with a sprained right ankle, which could allow Immanuel Quickley to get more minutes against the Suns. The sophomore will be entering the matchup, having logged three consecutive double-digit outings, so managers in deeper season-long formats and DFS tournament setups should keep him in mind.

Tue Nov 23 202118:44Derrick Rose Out Versus Lakers
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He played 30 minutes on Sunday, so possibly this is a rest game for Rose. Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks will be asked to step up without Rose available on Tuesday. Both could be possible low-end streaming options with extended playing time. Fantasy managers should expect this to be a one game absence for Rose.

Tue Nov 16 202108:39Derrick Rose Productive Off The Bench During Win
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose led the Knicks' bench during a 92-84 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday. Rose poured in 14 points, five rebounds, and seven assists across 25 minutes. The former MVP shot 7-for-14 from the field but didn't connect from three-point range on four attempts. While no longer a superstar, Rose has molded himself into one of the better bench players in the league and holds value in most fantasy formats. The Memphis product provides a boost in points, both field goal, and free-throw percentages, steals, and assists.

Thu Nov 11 202108:50Derrick Rose Leads Knicks With 22 Points
New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose scored a team-high 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting in Wednesday's 112-100 loss to Milwaukee. The Knicks starters ended up having a very poor outing and Rose combined for over half of the team's points (54) with Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley. The veteran did most of his damage from deep, going 6-for-8 from three-point range, and he also led the team with seven assists. Rose capped off his line with three rebounds, three steals and one block. The 33-year-old has produced a few nice performances this season, but he mostly doesn't see enough action to get to 20 points. He is, however, a very option to lean on for head coach Tom Thibodeau if others are sleepwalking through a game. There won't be any time to sleep in the final matchup of the week on Friday against the Hornets, who are ranked second in pace. Julius Randle, who managed only 16 points against the Bucks, should get going again, and it's a good bounce-back spot for others as well.

Sat Nov 6 202108:32Derrick Rose Excels On Both Ends In Win Over Bucks
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose put up his second 20-plus point effort of the year in Friday's 113-96 win over Milwaukee. Starting guard Kemba Walker struggled with his shot, resulting in a season-high 30 minutes for Rose, who shot 10-for-18 en route to a 23-point performance. The former MVP was also a factor on the defensive end, as he swiped the ball twice, rounding out his line with eight boards, four assists, and two triples. Rose has been an efficient scorer off the bench for the Knicks and would be a must-add if something were to happen to Walker.

Sat Oct 9 202122:56Derrick Rose Suffers Ankle Injury On Saturday
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose (ankle) did not return to Saturday's preseason clash against the Wizards. The former MVP began experiencing pain in his left ankle and was observed speaking with trainers during the fourth quarter. He subsequently went back to the locker room and wasn't seen again for the contest's duration. Before the veteran's premature exit, he had played well, posting 15 points, eight assists, and two steals while going a perfect 3-for-3 from deep throughout 19 minutes of work. It's no secret that head coach Tom Thibodeau has given plenty of minutes to his players during the preseason, but the 33-year-old may need to tone things down a bit heading toward the regular season. Fortunately, the injury doesn't appear to be anything serious at the moment. However, it's still worth keeping an eye on, especially for the fantasy managers who haven't drafted ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Mon Mar 22 202116:21Rose rejoins Knicks, says he had COVID, like flu 'times 10'
NEW YORK (AP) — Derrick Rose rejoined the New York Knicks on Monday, though it's unclear when he will play again as he recovers from COVID-19. Looking tired, Rose detailed his struggles Monday, saying his kids also had gotten sick and they all quarantined together. “They say everybody is different, but with me I never felt anything like that before,” Rose said. “I’ve had the flu. It was nothing like the flu. “It was that times 10. So like I said, I’m slowly getting back. I’m progressing every day and just trying to get back in the swing of things.” Rose hasn't played since Feb. 28. He missed the final two games before the All-Star break and all six games so far in the second half of the season. The Knicks announced that he was out of the NBA's health and safety protocols, but the point guard has to regain his strength and fitness before he can return to competition. “He has to go through conditioning and once he’s ready to go we’ll move forward with it. But he’s been out for a while now... [More]
Fri Mar 12 202121:37AP Source: Pistons acquiring Diallo for Mykhailiuk, pick
DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Pistons have agreed to trade Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2027 second-round draft pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Hamidou Diallo, according to a person with knowledge of the deal. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Friday night because the deal had not been announced. The 22-year-old Diallo is averaging a career-best 11.9 points this season. The 6-foot-7 Mykhailiuk, who is 23, is averaging 6.9 points. It's another step in a drastic roster overhaul for Detroit under new general manager Troy Weaver, who was previously an executive for the Thunder. Only one player who appeared in a game for the Pistons last season is still on the roster — 20-year-old Sekou Doumbouya. Detroit recently traded Derrick Rose and bought out Blake Griffin. Fri Mar 5 202117:23Blake Griffin, Detroit Pistons agree to buyout
DETROIT (AP) — Blake Griffin's time in Detroit is over, another significant step in a rebuilding process that has the Pistons at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. The veteran forward and the Pistons agreed to a contract buyout. “I thank the Pistons organization for working together on an outcome that benefits all involved and I wish the franchise success in the future,” Griffin said Friday in a statement released by the team. The Pistons announced last month that they would keep Griffin out of the lineup while resolving his future, a clear sign that the star forward could be on the way out. The Pistons also traded Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks last month. Griffin, who turns 32 later this month, came to Detroit in a trade during the 2017-18 season. The question now is how valuable he might be to a contending team. He had a terrific 2018-19 season for the Pistons, helping them to the playoffs, but his health has been a concern in Detroit, just as it had been when he was with the... [More]

Mon Feb 15 202117:57Pistons holding out Griffin amid trade, buyout consideration
DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Pistons are taking another step in their rebuilding process, planning to part ways with Blake Griffin. Detroit plans to keep the star forward out of the lineup while he and the organization work out a decision on his future, a clear sign his days with the team could be numbered. “After extensive conversation with Blake’s representatives, it has been determined that we will begin working to facilitate a resolution regarding his future with the team that maximizes the interests of both parties," Pistons general manager Troy Weaver said in a statement Monday. "We respect all the effort Blake has put forth in Detroit and his career and will work to achieve a positive outcome for all involved.” Griffin, who turns 32 next month, came to Detroit in a trade during the 2017-18 season as part of the franchise's push to become relevant again. The Pistons, though, have made only one postseason appearance with him and have spent much of the last year overhauling their roster... [More]

Tue Feb 9 202122:55Once a Knick, always a Knick: Rose back in New York lineup
MIAMI (AP) — The first thing Derrick Rose did in his second stint with the New York Knicks was start handing out assists. And that was before he even played. Rose made his second Knicks debut Tuesday night in Miami, scoring 14 points in 20 minutes in New York's 98-96 loss to the Heat. He hadn't even gone through practice with the team yet but it’s not like he didn't know the plays; this is his third go-round with Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau, after they were together in Chicago and Minnesota. “It’s obviously someone that I’m familiar with and we’ve been through a lot of things together,” Thibodeau said. “But the biggest part is what I felt he can contribute to our team. And I’ve always been partial to good players. If someone is a good player, I’m interested. And I think he’ll add a lot to our team. I know his character. I know the type of teammate he is.” Those teammate skills went to use right away. Rose met up with the Knicks on Monday night in Miami, found the only rookies on the club... [More]
