MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed forward/center Jordan Bell, who left Golden State during the Warriors' offseason transformation.Bell spent two seasons with the Warriors and was their starter at center in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. But he was one of a number of Warriors who won't be returning after Golden State's loss to Toronto.The 6-foot-9 Bell averaged 3.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game over 125 games.Terms of the deal were not announced Friday.

(AP) — DeMarcus Cousins has a torn left quadriceps muscle that will sideline the Golden State center indefinitely, a devastating injury that the Warriors feared was serious when he went down in the first quarter of their first-round playoff loss to the Clippers.An MRI exam Tuesday morning on Cousins' left leg revealed the tear. (AP) — DeMarcus Cousins has progressed in his recovery from surgery for a torn left Achilles tendon and is doing light shooting and other skill work on the court and will be able to do some noncontact work as the Warriors' training camp begins.Golden State general manager Bob Myers said anyone who thinks the two-time defending champions plan to "save DeMarcus for the playoffs, I think that's inaccurate, when he can play he'll play."That doesn't mean Cousins will be pushed to return too soon. He was re-examined last week by Dr. Richard Ferkel, the surgeon who performed his procedure, and all was positive. Myers said Cousins would be evaluated again in four weeks."We won't rush him but we also won't hold him back," Myers said at Monday's media day.Cousins injured his Achilles in late January and it prematurely ended his season with the Pelicans. (AP) — First, his right forearm cramped turning his arm into the shape of a V as his hand bent back, and Jordan Bell could not move it for several minutes as he sat in the bathtub as he recovered post-workout. He yelled for his girlfriend's help. The cramp briefly released, then quickly returned. Soon, his quads, calves, hamstrings, biceps, hands and feet followed suit.Then, Bell blacked out. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Golden State Warriors are again missing more than just two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry, with reserves Andre Iguodala, Jordan Bell and David West all out for the game at Minnesota.Iguodala (sprained left wrist) and Bell (sprained right ankle) each sat for the third straight game, when the Warriors visited the Timberwolves on Sunday. West (right arm cyst) was on the inactive list for the fourth consecutive game.Iguodala was originally deemed a game-time decision by coach Steve Kerr but unable to play.Another player off the bench, Patrick McCaw, was out for a 10th straight game because of a broken left wrist.Curry didn't accompany the team on the two-game road trip because of an injured right ankle.
