Wed Sep 30 201513:29Beasley signed one-year
Beasley signed a one-year, $600,000 contract with the Chinese club Shandong on Wednesday, David Pick of Basketballinsiders.com reports.
After Beasley's contract option was declined, making him a free agent, it's not exactly a surprise that he will play overseas after averaging just 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 21 minutes over 24 games with the Heat last season. It's possible he'll return to the NBA if the need arises, but he will have minimal fantasy value even if that occurs.
Sun Jun 28 201513:15Beasley's option will not be picked up
Beasley's option will not be picked up, thus he'll become an unrestricted free agent, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Beasley played in just 24 games last season with the Heat, finishing with averages of 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 21 minutes per game. With the Heat opting not to pick up his team option, he'll now await the start of free agency, which begins July 1. He should see some interest on the open market, but he'll likely remain limited in his future potential fantasy value no matter his eventual destination.
Tue May 12 201518:52Beasley signed to two 10-day contracts with Heat before signing ...
Beasley was signed to two 10-day contracts with the Heat before signing with the team in March for the remainder of the season. In all, he played 24 games for Miami and posted averages of 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21 minutes per game.
Beasley has no contract in place for the 2015-16 season and he will be able to do no more than play the waiting game to see if he will land on an NBA team next season. Beasley never played a significant role with the Heat this season, as he was signed to add depth to their rotation, especially after Chris Bosh was ruled out for the remainder of the season. With this in mind, there is a very good chance that if the Heat decide to pass on Beasley, then the rest of the NBA will too. Beasley did take advantage of the final game of the regular season where he played all 48 minutes and scored 34 points on 12-of-27 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds and eight assists. Those were all season-highs for Beasley and was essentially his only truly fantasy-relevant game of the regular season. However, seeing as though Miami only played six players in that final game, Beasley's stat line should be taken with a grain of salt, and his relevance for next season will depend entirely on where he lands.

Beasley went off for 34 points (12-27 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 10-11 FT) during Wednesday's victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, while also adding 11 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocked shots in 48 minutes.
Beasley didn't even come off the court once Wednesday, as the Heat only ended up playing six players the whole game. It was clearly the most production he's had this season, as the point, rebound and assist totals were all season-highs for the forward. Without a contract in place for next season, Beasley will now play the waiting game for where he ends up next.
