Sat Dec 10 202220:08Jordan Clarkson Ruled Out For Saturday
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Denver Nuggets. This is a significant blow to the Jazz because Clarkson has been huge for them this season. His absence should mean more scoring chances for Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Malik Beasley. Over the last two games, Beasley has scored 41 points, so he'll be a must-start option for Saturday's slate. Fantasy managers should make sure Beasley is in your lineups before it's too late.

Thu Dec 1 202210:18Jordan Clarkson Enjoys Hot Shooting Night On Wednesday
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson had another scoring outburst on Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran combo guard posted 33 points, four rebounds, and five assists on 10-for-18 shooting overall and 5-for-9 shooting from beyond the arc. Clarkson has been a great fantasy source for points and threes, but he hasn't delivered that much outside of that. He can be expected to provide much of the same for the rest of the season.

Tue Nov 22 202208:16Jordan Clarkson Stays Hot Versus The Clippers
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson continued his hot streak with a 26-point effort in Monday's 121-114 loss to the Clippers. He registered his third consecutive game with 20-plus points, shooting 8-for-18 from the field and 4-for-11 from three-point range. In 39 minutes of action, Clarkson also added four rebounds and four assists to his tally with one steal, one block and one turnover. Mike Conley (leg) has just dropped out of the lineup and Clarkson is one of the guys who gets a boost from his absence. He's already been a solid fantasy piece and should now have even more value. With matchups against Detroit and Golden State coming up, Clarkson's good scoring run should continue, as these teams are among the bottom six in the league in defensive efficiency.

Thu Oct 27 202210:02Jordan Clarkson Knocks Down Five Threes
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson enjoyed a red-hot shooting night from three against the Houston Rockets. On top of shooting 5-for-10 from deep, he put up 20 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block. While he's still in Utah, the 30-year-old will continue getting plenty of minutes and opportunities. He may be auditioning for a future deal with a playoff-contending team, though. Fantasy managers can enjoy the added productivity that comes with starter's minutes, but be cautious if he is traded into a sixth-man role again.

Sun Sep 11 202215:30Four Teams Interested In Jordan Clarkson
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson may be the next player on the roster to be moved. Teams are interested, with Memphis, Milwaukee, Sacramento, and Toronto emerging as potential landing spots. The 2021 Sixth Man of the Year took a step back last season, finishing with averages of 16.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. Nevertheless, Clarkson will likely have a substantial role moving ahead, regardless of where he's playing in 2022-23, so he should remain relevant from a fantasy standpoint. With that said, his shooting percentages need work, which may severely impact category managers.

Fri Sep 2 202220:26Jordan Clarkson On His Way Out Of Utah?
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson could be the next player on the roster to be moved. The team has already traded Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert this offseason. However, Utah reportedly isn't finished as Clarkson, along with Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley, may be suiting up elsewhere this season. The 2021 Sixth Man of the Year ended last season by averaging 16.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, so wherever he plays come October, he'll continue to be expected to provide plenty of offense from off the bench. At the same time, his defensive numbers historically haven't been the best, and his percentage from deep has room for improvement, two things fantasy managers should consider.

Thu Jul 14 202210:23Jordan Clarkson, Other Vets Made Available By Jazz
The Utah Jazz have made all of their veterans available in trades, according to sources of The Athletic. Jordan Clarkson, Malik Beasley and Patrick Beverly are some of the names that The Athletic's Shams Charania has mentioned as being available -- in addition to the team's most prized piece, Donovan Mitchell. All three aforementioned guards are sure to be targeted by competitors looking to bolster their backcourt for next season. Clarkson in particular is an intriguing trade piece as he's shown the ability to consistently score the rock as a member of the Jazz. He averaged a career-high 18.4 points per game in 2020-21 and then went on to average 16.0 points per game last year.

Sun Mar 13 202210:41Jordan Clarkson Drops Career-High 45 Points In Win Saturday
Since joining the Utah Jazz, point guard Jordan Clarkson has emerged as one of the league's most consistent scoring options off the bench. He took that role to another level in Saturday's victory over the Kings, where he erupted for 45 points on 15-for-21 shooting overall, setting a new career best for a single game scoring performance. Even in the midst of a season where he has shot a career-low 41.6% overall, Clarkson was a beacon of efficiency vs. Sacramento, going 7-for-13 from behind the arc as well. Fantasy managers banking on a repeat performance Monday against the Bucks may have to check their expectations as Mike Conley is set to return to the backcourt mix, capping Clarkson's ceiling, even as his floor remains as sturdy as ever.

Sun Feb 6 202221:19Jordan Clarkson Questionable For Monday
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the New York Knicks. He has missed each of the last two games due to right knee soreness. Jared Butler and Trent Forrest would likely pick up additional minutes if Clarkson is out. However, neither player is much of a fantasy asset even in deep formats. Mike Conley would see more time running the offense, so he might end up benefiting the most out of everyone.

Wed Feb 2 202221:25Jordan Clarkson Ruled Out For Wednesday
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz are without a number of their key players for this matchup. That being said, Mike Conley should run the offense with Jared Butler and Trent Forest (ankle) having increased roles. Conley is already looking like an excellent fantasy option with the Jazz shorthanded. Forest could be a sneaky streaming choice while Clarkson is on the sideline.

Fri Jan 7 202219:04Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic Will Miss Friday’s Game
Utah Jazz point/shooting guard Jordan Clarkson (back) and small forward Bojan Bogdanovic (finger) are among a group of Jazz players ruled out for Friday's contest against Toronto. Bogdanovic is coming off having dropped a season-high 36 points during Wednesday's win over the Nuggets, while Clarkson will be missing his first contest of the year. With Donovan Mitchell (back), Mike Conley (rest), Rudy Gobert (health and safety protocols), and Royce O'Neale (knee) joining Bogdanovic and Clarkson as inactive, Hassan Whiteside,Eric Paschall, and Jared Butler headline a group that should see a sizable jump in DFS relevance. The next chance that Clarkson or Bogdanovic will have to take the floor comes Saturday vs. the Pacers.

Mon Dec 27 202123:49Jordan Clarkson Drops Game-High 23 Points In Win
Utah Jazz shooting guard Jordan Clarkson stepped up in the absence of Donovan Mitchell (back), compiling a game-high 23 points during Monday's victory over the Spurs. Clarkson continues to percolate from the field when facing San Antonio, having gone for at least 21 points in each of his last three regular-season meetings against the club. Finishing 9-for-21 from the field overall -- including 2-for-7 from behind the arc -- Clarkson tied his season high with eight rebounds, in addition to five assists. It marked the first time since Nov. 24 that the Sixth Man of the Year candidate led his club in scoring, a role that he could reprise Wednesday vs. Portland if Mitchell is not cleared in time to return.

Sun Nov 28 202109:59Jordan Clarkson Hits Four Triples During 20-Point Performance
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson shot 4-for-6 from deep and 8-for-13 overall from the field as the team easily picked apart New Orleans on Saturday. He produced 20 points in 26 minutes off the bench with three rebounds, one assist and one steal. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year is a key piece for Utah's second unit again this season, but his recent performances have been rather inconsistent. Clarkson started the week with a nine-point effort against Memphis, then had 20 points versus the Thunder and settled with just seven points in Friday's meeting with the Pelicans before finding his rhythm again Saturday night.

Fri Nov 5 202108:37Jordan Clarkson Goes Off For 30 Points
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson exploded with 30 points off the bench in Thursday's 116-98 win at Atlanta, shooting 10-for-19 from the field and nailing four three-pointers with 10 attempts. He finished 6-for-7 at the line and collected four rebounds and three assists with two turnovers in 31 minutes. The reigning Sixth Man of the Year had a point to prove after having produced a two-point dud with 1-for-13 shooting against Sacramento at the start of the week. Clarkson is among the most prolific bench contributors again in 2021-22 and could very well end up defending his title. He'll have a difficult challenge next against Miami but completes the week with a favorable matchup against Orlando, who has given up the fourth-most bench points per game this season.

Thu Oct 21 202101:45Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles Resume Effective Bench Play
The Utah Jazz second unit picked up during Wednesday's season-opening win over Oklahoma City right where it left off last season. The scoring effort was led by Jordan Clarkson, who dropped 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting, while Joe Ingles knocked down four threes as he compiled 14 points. Clarkson, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, contributed little else to the stat sheet, whereas Ingles pitched in three boards and three assists across his 26 minutes. Both figure to retain their value from last season, with the caveat of having an increased ceiling should any member of the starting backcourt miss time. Next on their docket is a matchup Friday against a Kings defense that was highly exploitable from a fantasy perspective last season.

Fri Jun 11 202118:24Clippers facing another 0-2 deficit as series shifts to LA
The Los Angeles Clippers find themselves in familiar territory — down 2-0 in their second straight playoff series and seeing one player outplay their two superstars. While the Clippers proved they could work their way out of a deep hole before, the challenges are steeper as they prepare to face the Utah Jazz on Saturday as the scene shifts to Staples Center for Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinal series. The downtown Los Angeles court, which has been the franchise's home since 1999, has not given them any advantages when it comes to the postseason. They have lost nine of their last 11 home playoff games. Last Sunday's 126-111 victory over Dallas in Game 7 snapped a eight-game home playoff losing streak. Paul George said after Thursday night's 117-111 loss that they are approaching this two-game deficit the same way they approached being down to Dallas. “We still feel we have a lot of possessions that we can clean up and a lot of possessions that are hurting us that’s our fault,”... Tue Jun 1 202119:01Young, Westbrook, Morant back at scenes of ugly fan actions
Philadelphia, Utah and Atlanta can reach the second round. Dallas or the Los Angeles Clippers will get to the verge of it. Yet as Russell Westbrook and Ja Morant try to save their seasons and Trae Young looks for a clinching victory, eyes will be on the action in the seats right along with the court. The games Wednesday are the first for all three of those players in the arenas where they were the subjects of ugly fan actions in Game 2 of these first-round series. The unruly fan behavior continued Monday when a spectator was tackled after running onto the court in Washington, and Young noticed. “They doing it for attention now,” he wrote on Twitter. Young was cursed at in both games and spit on in the second one at Madison Square Garden, the only game the Knicks won in the series. The Hawks went home and easily took Games 3 and 4 in Atlanta. Now they can silence the New York fans for the summer. Hawks coach Nate McMillan said he feels safe as the team returns to New York, adding that the... [More]
Fri Jan 1 202119:14Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson was fined $25,000 by NBA
NEW YORK (AP) — Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Friday for making contact with a game official Thursday night in the Jazz's 106-95 home loss to the Phoenix Suns. The incident occurred early in the second quarter. Clarkson is averaging 16.5 points and 22.6 minutes this season.
Wed Sep 2 202013:58Mitchell: 'Just the beginning' for Jazz after playoff loss
Jazz All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell was hypercritical of Utah's playoff losses to Denver: His eight-second violation in Game 1. Blowing a big lead in Game 5. Not matching Denver’s intensity in Game 6. Losing the ball late in a back-and-forth Game 7.It all added up to sixth-seeded Utah being on the wrong side of NBA history as the Nuggets became the 12th team in the annals of the league to overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a series. One thing Donovan won’t quibble with: The direction of the Jazz. He likes the trajectory they’re on with the team making the postseason for a fourth straight season. This was simply another lesson to be learned.“This won’t happen again,” said Mitchell, a third-year player out of Louisville. "I’m ready to go hoop again right now. We all are. This is just the beginning."Mitchell fell to the floor after Mike Conley’s 3-point attempt spun out at the buzzer in Game 7. His first emotion: Shock. “We worked so hard, as a unit, as a whole, to get to a point that we got to,... [More]
Wed Aug 26 202021:36If games happen, Mavs, Nuggets will try to force Game 7s
If the NBA playoffs resume, Denver and Dallas will face elimination games. The Nuggets have staved off elimination once and when and if their series with the Utah Jazz resumes — it's scheduled for Thursday, though that now seems very questionable — they will have to do it again. So will the Dallas Mavericks, down 3-2 to the Los Angeles Clippers.Players boycotted Wednesday's three scheduled games in protest of the shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man in Wisconsin who was apparently shot in the back by police while his three children looked on. Players were meeting Wednesday night to determine next steps. The Nuggets rallied from a 15-point second half deficit to beat Utah in Game 5 on Tuesday and extend that series, while the Clippers got the biggest win in their playoff history — a 43-point romp over Dallas to take a 3-2 lead in that matchup, two nights after Luka Doncic made a gamewinning, buzzer-beating 3-pointer in Game 4.“Game 4 is the ultimate high and (Game 5) is the ultimate low,”...
