Tue Aug 1 202321:51Karl-Anthony Towns Believes He Is “Fully Healthy”
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns reportedly feels like he is back at full strength after recovering from a calf injury last season. Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic shared during a recent podcast that the star big man is "feeling fully healthy again, for the first time since before he was injured". Towns was limited to just 29 regular-season games after suffering a Grade 3 calf strain on Nov. 28, 2022. The 27-year-old already saw his per-game fantasy value decrease with the addition of Rudy Gobert down low; Towns averaged his lowest amount of points (20.8), rebounds (8.1), and blocks (0.6) since his rookie campaign. It's great to hear he should enter the upcoming season with a clean bill of health, but Towns probably won't be a sure-fire first-round pick in drafts this fall.

Thu Jul 20 202322:06Minnesota Has "Sky-High" Price On Karl-Anthony Towns
According to Fred Katz of The Athletic, the Timberwolves have "set a sky-high price" on center Karl-Anthony Towns. There were rumors the Knicks were interested in obtaining the 27-year-old. However, Katz denied it, citing league sources, reporting New York isn't looking to trade for him. Towns played a career-low 29 games last season due to a lingering calf injury. He also averaged 20.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, all down from the 2021-22 campaign. But the former Kentucky Wildcat may bounce back this season, and assuming he stays healthy, he could easily finish as a top-25 fantasy option. That said, it appears the Timberwolves would entertain a deal for Towns, although it will take a lot to get him out of Minnesota.

Fri Jun 9 202317:44Executives Believe Karl-Anthony Towns Could Be Traded
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns has been the face of the team for the last eight seasons since he was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2015 NBA draft. In that time, the Timberwolves have only made the playoffs three times and have never gotten out of the first round. After making a huge deal to bring in Rudy Gobert and with new contracts looming for Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report reports that opposing executives believe that Towns could be traded. It could even happen within the next few weeks, so that the team can avoid the salary cap restrictions entailed in the new collective bargaining agreement.

Sat Apr 22 202309:46Karl-Anthony Towns Finally Regains His Scoring Touch
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns broke out of his scoring slump in Friday's Game 3 against the Nuggets, putting up 27 points on 10-for-17 shooting. He was 2-for-4 from downtown and completed his line with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Towns combined for only 21 points in the first two games of the series, so we saw a huge improvement from him Friday. However, the Timberwolves still couldn't hang with Denver and appear to be heading towards getting swept in the series. They will need a monster effort from KAT to stay alive in Game 4.

Mon Apr 17 202309:29Karl-Anthony Towns Struggles Badly In Game 1 Against Denver
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns had a rough playoff opener against Denver on Sunday, finishing a 109-80 blowout loss with only 11 points on 5-for-15 shooting. KAT missed 10 of his first 12 shots and went 1-for-7 with the three-ball. He added 10 rebounds and two assists to his tally while committing four turnovers in 30 minutes. Toews has played great in recent weeks, but this isn't the first time he fails to deliver in the postseason. He is shooting 46.5 percent for his playoff career, averaging only 18.2 points per game. If he can't get going, this series could be done within a week.

Sat Apr 15 202322:00Karl-Anthony Towns Not On The Injury Report
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) isn't listed on the league's official injury report ahead of the Game 1 matchup with Denver. KAT had missed a significant portion of the 2022-23 campaign due to a calf strain and was frequently mentioned on the injury report since returning. However, he appears 100%, which is good news considering Rudy Gobert (back) is questionable. Towns will enter this one coming off a 28-point, 11-rebound, three-block play-in performance against OKC on Friday, so he'll receive plenty of attention from the DFS community.

Sat Apr 15 202307:23Karl-Anthony Towns Dominates At Both Ends In Friday's Win
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns produced a game-high 28 points on 11-for-16 shooting and swatted away three shots as the team grabbed the final playoff ticket in the Western Conference with a 120-95 win over OKC Friday. KAT was also the leading rebounder in the game with 11 boards and handed out three assists in 29 minutes. The team will be delighted by the fact that Towns could be limited to fewer than 30 minutes Friday, as this was only his 10th game back from a calf injury. He was on the injury report with the same problem prior to the game, but it looks like Towns is feeling well, and he should be very eager to produce big numbers in the playoffs, with this being only his third postseason campaign in eight years.

Thu Apr 13 202321:25Karl-Anthony Towns Questionable For Friday
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The big man was questionable ahead of Tuesday's game as well, but ended up playing 41 minutes in that game. The expectation is that Towns will be able to play through his strained right calf. Towns might be the lone big man once again with Rudy Gobert (back) uncertain for this game. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on Towns and Gobert.

Wed Apr 12 202309:50Karl-Anthony Towns Posts Strong Performance In Overtime Loss
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns did everything he possibly could to try and lead the team to the seventh seed on Tuesday night. The 27-year-old registered 24 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks while shooting 8-for-12 from the floor and 2-for-4 from deep. Minnesota probably would have benefited if Towns took more shots on Tuesday as his efficiency was great. Since the team was missing three of their best defensive players and Anthony Edwards had a rough night, Towns would have needed an other-worldly performance to grab a win.

Tue Apr 11 202321:49Karl-Anthony Towns Available For Play-In Game
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) will play on Tuesday against the Lakers. KAT had been listed as questionable because of nagging calf soreness. However, his availability was never truly in jeopardy, especially with a pivotal play-in matchup on the horizon. With Rudy Gobert (suspension) out, he'll slide over to his natural spot at the five. Towns should get plenty of chances to produce, and there's a good chance he finishes as the team's top DFS producer.

Mon Apr 10 202322:10Karl-Anthony Towns On The Injury Report Again
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers. The 27-year-old missed most of the season with a calf strain. However, he logged 36 minutes on Sunday versus the Pelicans, so DFS managers shouldn't be too concerned about his availability. With Rudy Robert (suspension) out, KAT should slide over to the five. But if Towns doesn't play for some reason, Nathan Knight may move into the starting lineup.

Sun Apr 9 202322:25Karl-Anthony Towns Sinks The Pelicans On Sunday
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns helped dismantle the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday and keep the team at the eighth seed in the West. The 27-year-old superstar finished the contest with 30 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block while shooting 10-for-19 from the floor and 5-for-8 from three. Towns had to shake off a bit of rust when he first returned to the floor, but he looks primed for the play-in to potentially get the Timberwolves back into the first round of the playoffs again.

Mon Apr 3 202318:37Karl-Anthony Towns Remains Listed As Questionable
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf, illness) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The superstar big man is likely to remain on the injury report through the rest of the regular season. He continues to deal with lingering injuries, but usually is able to play through the issues. The loss of Naz Reid (wrist) means that Taurean Prince and Kyle Anderson would see increased minutes if Towns is unable to play.

Sun Apr 2 202313:38Karl-Anthony Towns Questionable Against Portland
Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf, illness) is questionable for Sunday's meeting with Portland. The Timberwolves are desperately trying to make the play-in, although the team will remain cautious about the superstar's workload moving forward. However, Naz Reid (wrist) is sidelined, so Minnesota will be sorely lacking size if KAT isn't available. If that's the case, Taurean Prince and Kyle Anderson may split time at the four and draw additional interest from the DFS community.

Mon Mar 27 202318:21Karl-Anthony Towns To Sit Out On Monday
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings. This doesn't come as a surprise considering it's the second game of a back-to-back set. The Wolves want to keep Towns healthy, so they'll give him a rest day on Monday. The absence of Towns should mean increased minutes for Naz Reid and Kyle Anderson. Both players could be possible streaming options for Monday's slate.

Tue Mar 7 202318:16Karl-Anthony Towns Has No Timetable To Return
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) remains out and has no timetable to return. Head coach Chris Finch relayed Towns has entered the "final stages" of his recovery and is doing some basketball activities, but there is not timeline for Towns to return to game action. Towns has not played since suffering a calf strain on November 28th and this is the first update we have gotten in weeks.
