Sun Mar 5 202318:29Tre Jones Resting Sunday Night
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) will sit out Sunday's game versus the Houston Rockets. Jones just came back from a lengthy absence due to foot soreness and is resting the second night of a back-to-back. With Malaki Branham (back) no longer on the injury report, Branham and Devonte' Graham should see increased minutes on Sunday. The Spurs do not play for five days after Sunday which should be plenty of rest for Jones to return to play.

San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) will remain sidelined Tuesday versus the Utah Jazz. Jones continue to deal with a foot injury and has not played since before the All-Star break. Sat Feb 25 202300:14Tre Jones Questionable On Saturday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) is questionable ahead of Saturday's game in Utah. Jones has played just once in the last eight games, so there's a good chance his lingering foot soreness will keep him off the floor again versus the Jazz. If that's the case, Devonte' Graham, who's averaged 14.4 points and 4.8 assists in five appearances since being traded to San Antonio, should remain a viable fantasy option. However, Graham has shot only 31.8% from deep as a Spur, which could negatively impact category participants.

Wed Feb 22 202319:22Tre Jones Listed As Doubtful Thursday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) is doubtful to play Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks. Jones continues to deal with a sore left foot and trending towards another absence after the All-Star break. Malaki Branham has been stellar in the starting lineup and will likely continue to start once Jones is ruled out. Devonte' Graham will also see extra minutes off the bench and has had a steady role since coming to San Antonio.

Tue Feb 14 202318:25Tre Jones Listed As Out Again Wednesday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) will miss Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets as he continues to deal with foot soreness. Jones had a four-game absence before returning to play on Saturday, but was then ruled out for two straight games. With the All-Star break looming and Jones experiencing some soreness, it makes sense for the Spurs to not rush anything. Malaki Branham and Devonte' Graham should both see ample minutes on Wednesday.

Sun Feb 12 202323:09Tre Jones Ruled Out On Monday Against Cavaliers
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) returned on Saturday from a four-game absence but will now miss another game with a sore left foot. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if the Spurs start to experiment with more lineups as the season progresses, so Jones could see some more rest days along the way. While he's out, Devonte' Graham and Malaki Branham will see more minutes with either one of them presenting a good amount of risk as a streaming option.

Fri Feb 10 202315:39Tre Jones Out Again On Friday Versus Pistons
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) will miss his fourth consecutive game with left foot soreness. He was originally listed as questionable just as he was for their last game, but he was inevitably downgraded before tipoff. The Spurs will be without seven different players, so there is probably a plethora of players available on the waiver wire right now. Malaki Branham will be a solid streaming option as he's been the starter since Jones first went out. Devonte' Graham, the new addition, could also see a good chunk of minutes right away.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]

Josh Richardson has also seen some extra minutes and has been performing well for several weeks now.

Mon Feb 6 202314:28Tre Jones Downgraded To Out On Monday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The 23-year-old was not at shootaround as he continues to receive treatment for his left foot injury. Malaki Branham should continue to start while Jones is on the sideline. The rookie forward is putting together a strong season so far. He's worth streaming while getting extended playing time. Blake Wesley should see more minutes as well, but isn't worth streaming in most formats.

Fri Feb 3 202316:56Tre Jones Downgraded To Out On Friday Against 76ers
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) previously was listed as doubtful for Friday's game, so it's not surprising that he was eventually ruled out. He'll be the fifth player sidelined for the Spurs as they take on one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. In his absence, Malaki Branham and Josh Richardson should both prove to be solid streaming options as they'll take on most of the guard duties with Devin Vassell (knee) and Romeo Langford (adductor) also out.

Wed Feb 1 202322:21Tre Jones Suffers Injury On Wednesday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (foot) was forced to exit early during Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The 23-year-old only played nine minutes before exiting the game due to a left foot injury. He didn't return to this contest and it's uncertain if he'll miss more time because of the issue. Malaki Branham and Blake Wesley would likely both see increase roles if Jones is forced to miss time. Between the two, Branham is the better streaming option if given increased minutes in the rotation.

Sun Nov 27 202207:49Tre Jones Notches A Double-Double Against The Lakers
San Antonio Spurs point guard Tre Jones recorded his second double-double of the season in Saturday's loss to the Lakers, scoring 23 points and handing out 13 assists. He missed only four of his 13 shots in 36 minutes on the court, and Jones even wasn't far from a triple-double, finishing with eight rebounds. He picked up two steals on the defensive end and turned over the ball only once. Following a good start to the season, the Spurs and Jones have struggled in November, but the young guard will have gained some confidence from his recent performances. He also put up 19 points Friday against the Lakers. Jones tends to cool off quickly, but at least on paper, he has another good matchup coming up on Wednesday against the Thunder, who have given up 25.1 points per 48 minutes to opposing point guards this season.

Tue Nov 15 202221:10Tre Jones Available To Play Tuesday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (illness) will play Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. Jones was questionable heading into the contest after missing Monday's game with a stomach illness. The added rest must have been enough for Jones to get over the illness as he regains his starting role. Keita Bates-Diop will likely head back to the bench while he and Josh Richardson take a hit in fantasy value.

Tue Nov 15 202218:40Tre Jones Questionable To Play Tuesday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (illness) is questionable to play Tuesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. Jones missed Monday's contest as he deals with a stomach illness and may sit again on Tuesday. Keita Bates-Diop entered the starting lineup with Jones out while Devin Vassell operated as the team's primary ball-handler. If Jones is out, this would likely continue on Tuesday while Josh Richardson gets added run off the bench.

Mon Nov 14 202217:41Tre Jones Ruled Out For Monday
San Antonio Spurs guard Tre Jones (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors. It sounds like the young guard is dealing with a non-COVID illness, so hopefully he won't miss more time than just this game. Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell should see a boost in playing time and usage with Jones out. Also, Josh Richardson is likely to see increased playing time and be worth streaming for Monday's slate.

Sun Apr 3 202218:55Tre Jones, Zach Collins Starting On Sunday
San Antonio Spurs point guard Tre Jones and center Zach Collins will be part of the starting five for Sunday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. They'll be joined by Joshua Primo, Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson. Both Jones and Collins are excellent fantasy options for Sunday's slate. This is the second consecutive start for Jones. In the team's last game on Friday, which was also against the Blazers, he racked up nine points, nine assists, five rebounds and two steals over 33 minutes. Collins, meanwhile, came off the bench on Friday and racked up 15 points, nine boards, five assists, two steals and two blocks over 25 minutes.

Sun Oct 10 202117:41Tre Jones Should Return From Ankle Sprain Soon
San Antonio Spurs point guard Tre Jones (ankle) is expected to be back soon, according to Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. Jones has been sidelined due to a left ankle sprain and he recently re-aggravated the injury during a 3-on-3 session. The 21-year-old only saw about seven minutes per game as a rookie last year. He's likely to have a limited role yet again this season with Dejounte Murray and Derrick White serving as the team's primary point guards. Jones would likely need an injury to one of them in order to have some fantasy relevance.
