Burke has focused on improving his jump shot and touch around the rim this offseason, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Burke has nowhere to go but up when it comes to his shooting. He converted a ghastly 41 percent of his shots within eight feet last season and only made 32 percent of his three-pointers. Burke's severely undersized, and he attempts an abnormally high amount of shots at the end of the shot clock, diminishing his overall efficieny. Burke will compete in Saturday's exhibition games in South Africa as a member of Team World. He's spent most of the summer traveling all over the world, and the Jazz's point guard depth doesn't faze him. His best role may be as bench scorer, and that limits his playing time and fantasy value.

Burke struggled through his second year in the league but finished up strong with nine double-digit scoring performances in his last 11 games of the season.

Burke most notably lost his spot in the starting lineup to rookie Dante Exum in January and was refined to the sixth man role off the bench for a good portion of the season. However, he still managed to continually hold more value than Exum despite their rank on the depth chart. This offseason will be crucial for Burke as he's undoubtedly motivated to regain the accolade of being a starter under coach Quin Snyder. In addition to Burke's limiting role of the bench, Utah may be inclined to upgrade at point guard altogether with an offseason acquisition which would truly hurt the 22-year-old's opportunities on the court. Until that happens Burke is currently in line to be taken in the final rounds of standard league drafts even with an expected role off the bench in the 2015-16 season.

Burke will play in Wednesday's season finale against the Rockets.

Burke missed the three previous games with a minor back issue, but he'll be back in the lineup Wednesday as the Jazz finish out the season. The Michigan product has topped 10 points in nine of his last 10 games.

Burke (back) is probable for Wednesday's season finale, the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports.

This will be his final chance to get back on the court this season, but even if he plays, look for Dante Exum to retain the starting job.

Burke (back) will not play Monday against the Mavs, Jody Gennesy of the Deseret News reports.

Despite being given a "probable" designation earlier in the day, Burke will be held out Monday as he continues to nurse a back issue. Dante Exum and Rodney Hood will continue to comprise the starting backcourt.

Burke (back) is officially probable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks.

Burke hasn't played in four of the last five games due to his back issue, but it appears he may return to the court Monday. However, since the Jazz have nothing left to play for, they may be cautious with him to ensure nothing happens to cause long-term damage.

Burke (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game at Portland, the Jazz's official site reports.

Sitting for the fourth time in five contests, Burke will have too additional chances to suit up again this season: Monday against the Mavericks and Wednesday at Houston. Expect Bryce Cotton to profit from Burke's continued absence.

Burke (back) will not play against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Burke is still dealing with a sore lower back and has decided to err on the side of caution Friday. In his absence, Bryce Cotton may ultimately see an abnormal amount of minutes on the court.

Burke (back) returned to action Wednesday against the Kings and posted 11 points and two rebounds in 21 minutes of action.

Burke had missed two games due to a back injury, but he appears good to go moving forward. The guard has been struggling this season, averaging just 12.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 three-pointers made per game on 37 percent shooting from the field and 76 percent shooting from the line. He's been getting enough minutes to contribute, but rookie Dante Exum has been eating into his playtime recently. Burke is still worth owning in 12-man leagues, but is a rather shaky play in standard leagues at this point.

Burke (back) participated in practice Tuesday and is listed as probable for Wednesday's contest versus the Kings, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

After sitting out two games to recover from back spasms, Burke has seemingly been cleared to return to action. In the five outings before the injury, he scored in double figures four times, averaging 16.2 points (on 40 percent shooting), five rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and one three-pointer in 30 minutes.

Burke (back) will now miss Sunday's game against Kings after initially being ruled in, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Burke was considered a true game-time decision at first, but then was ruled in after going through warmups. However, the back issue must have resurfaced later, and he will now sit out the contest. Bryce Cotton will likely receive added minutes in his place Sunday.

Burke (back) will play Sunday against the Kings, Jazz radio announcer David Locke reports.

Burke missed Saturday's contest with a sore lower back, but it appears the issue has subsided enough for him to play. However, he'll likely be monitored closely to prevent re-injury, as can be the case with back issues.

If Burke misses a second straight game, the Jazz will likely give most of his minutes to Rodney Hood and Dante Exum, with Gordon Hayward taking on increased ball-handling responsibilities.

Rodney Hood left Monday's game early with a possible concussion, but Burke didn't see any increase in his minutes in a blowout win over Minnesota. If Hood misses any further action though, Burke should get a bump in his fantasy value.

Burke scored 22 points (8-23 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 5-7 FT) with six rebounds, four assists and four steals in 33 minutes off the bench in the comeback win over the Thunder on Saturday.

After a six point dud Friday against Denver, Burke bounced back to record his sixth game over 14 points in his last seven outings. Despite being a guard who usually struggles to get steals, Burke has accumulated 11 steals in his last four games and despite his poor shooting, remains a player who has distinct fantasy value.

Burke scored 20 points (7-16 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with five assists in 29 minutes Saturday.

Burke is now averaging 3.3 three-pointers in his last four games and is, once again, playing more of the point guard minutes than rookie Dante Exum. If you are looking for three-pointers with a sprinkling of assists, but don't care about an abysmal field goal percentage, Burke is worth a look, but his minutes may be cut at any point if Exum gets it going.

Burke scored 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT) with two rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench Thursday.

Dante Exum and Rodney Hood scored a combined two points as the starting backcourt, but Burke may need to prove he can keep up this scoring pace for more than a couple of games before he gets another shot at the starting five.

Burke shot 0-for-8 Thursday in a win over the Rockets, and finished the game with just two rebounds and three assists in 22 minutes.

Burke's poor performance comes one game after he shot 1-for-11 against the Knicks on Thursday. So far in March, Burke is shooting just 25.7 pecent from the floor (including 13.6 percent from three) and is averaging 7.8 points per game.

Burke started but was only able to put up five points (1-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT) with five rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes Tuesday.

Burke started in place of the injured Gordon Hayward (back), but was unable to take advantage of the opportunity against a poor Knicks team. This performance has got to be disappointing for fantasy owners, who were looking for a big game for Burke here, but he appears to be just too inconsistent of a player to be relied upon right now.
