Wed Jan 11 202315:12Aaron Nesmith Questionable With An Illness
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Aaron Nesmith (illness) could be sidelined for Wednesday's game against New York, with the team listing him as questionable. The 23-year-old is battling a non-COVID illness. Nesmith has made 10 straight starts and has looked great in the recent games, providing a little bit of everything. He has earned 24 starts in total this season, and Nesmith has performed well in those games, averaging 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Bennedict Mathurin and Chris Duarte appear the likeliest players to take over Nesmith's spot in the starting unit if he can't play. Both players have upside, but Mathurin is definitely the safer option for fantasy managers.

Mon Dec 19 202208:03Aaron Nesmith Keeps Gaining Momentum
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Aaron Nesmith had a great outing with multiple career highs against New York on Sunday, finishing a 109-106 loss with 23 points and 10 rebounds. In 31 minutes as a starter, Nesmith also tallied one steal while shooting 9-for-12 from the field with a 4-for-6 effort from downtown. The 23-year-old was back in the starting lineup Sunday and didn't disappoint, scoring in double figures for the fourth time in five games. Nesmith's emergence has been bad news for Jalen Smith, who was dumped to the bench for only the third time this season and logged just 11 minutes on Sunday. Smith has already been trending down for a couple of weeks, while Nesmith's fantasy stock is certainly on the rise.

Mon Nov 7 202208:39Aaron Nesmith Remains Questionable
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Aaron Nesmith (foot) hasn't been able to shake off a questionable tag ahead of Monday's game against New Orleans. The former Boston man is been carrying a sore right foot and has missed three games because of it. Nesmith hasn't done a lot in his first few games in Indianapolis, but the team could really use him right now, with Chris Duarte (ankle) having dropped out of the lineup for at least four weeks. Bennedict Mathurin has benefited from Indiana's injuries and could now start his first career game Monday night.

Wed Nov 2 202220:56Aaron Nesmith Doubtful For Friday
Indiana Pacers guard Aaron Nesmith (foot) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Miami Heat. The 23-year-old is progressing, but is expected to miss his third straight game. His absence would mean Chris Duarte gets more playing time who played fantastic during his last contest. He'll be worth looking at as a streaming option while Nesmith is sidelined.

Mon Oct 31 202218:48Aaron Nesmith To Remain Out On Monday
Indiana Pacers guard Aaron Nesmith (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. This marks the second game in a row that Nesmith has missed due to a right foot issue. His absence should allow Chris Duarte to slide into the starting five. Although, he won't be an ideal streaming option after posting a dud in this last outing. Bennedict Mathurin will likely play close to 30 minutes without Nesmith available on Monday.

Indiana Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith and center Isaiah Jackson will move into the starting five for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Head coach Rick Carlisle mentioned that there could be changes to the starting lineup following Friday's loss. The move to the starting lineup should increase the fantasy value of Nesmith and Jackson on Saturday.

Mon Oct 3 202211:30NBA Draft Analysis: Second-Round Rookies to Watch Early for Fantasy Basketball
It's funny that every year at the NBA Draft, once the end of the guaranteed money and live appearances arrives at the end of the first round, everybody tunes out and refers to the 60th pick as "Mr. Irrelevant." That's not very accurate though, is it? Speaking historically, the title of "Mr. Irrelevant" could just as easily be applied to each pick in the draft, as organizations differ greatly in their evaluation of talent and their own needs, particularly in a year without the NCAA tournament. The nickname just doesn't reflect how basketball works anymore. Executives strategically stockpile second-round draft picks for the less burdensome financial obligations, and organizations in rebuilding mode get super creative to field a respectable team on a budget.Particularly in the NBA where worldwide talent is plentiful and positional lines continue to fade, opportunity is everything: in the right situation, the right under-the-radar player can make an immediate, poignant statement. With professional development leagues for 16-18-year-olds, an ever-expanding set of domestic/international opportunities due to the sheer growth of basketball, and widespread NIL rights for college athletes, players of all levels and localities are starting to get their due exposure and now have enough freedom to hone their skills in a place, and at a pace, that fits best with their path to the NBA.Plus, I am inherently skeptical and distrusting of scouting from the high school level to pre-Draft. That's why in this annual article, I tend to favor overlooked college players (love the mid-majors/non-power conferences) with either well-rounded, polished games, or specific statistical specialties. We are going to discuss a handful of 2022 second-round picks and undrafted free agent signees who, given their individual skillsets and circumstances, warrant the attention of Fantasy Basketball Managers as potential high-impact rookies for the 2022-23 campaign who can quietly be acquired on clearance once they start showing signs of emergence. ... Sun Jul 17 202220:21Aaron Nesmith Goes 1-For-9 In Final Summer League Game
Indiana Pacers guard Aaron Nesmith struggled immensely in his final Summer League game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. He shot 1-for-9 from the field -- including 1-for-6 from three-point range -- as he scored just five points. In addition to his rough shooting performance, he also committed six personal fouls and turned the ball over five times. Nesmith was traded to the Pacers in the blockbuster deal that sent Malcolm Brogdon to the Boston Celtics. After seeing little playing time in his first two NBA seasons, Nesmith will be looking for a fresh start in Indiana this year.

Mon Mar 28 202218:17Aaron Nesmith Draws A Start On Monday
Boston Celtics shooting guard Aaron Nesmith is part of the team's starting lineup for Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors. He is joined in the starting five by Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Grant Williams and Daniel Theis. The team is resting Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum for the game. This will be Nesmith's third start of the year. It's been a rough sophomore year in the NBA for Nesmith. He's played 10.5 minutes per game and averaged just 3.4 points per contest while shooting 37.3% from the field and 23.7% from three-point range. If you're looking for a Celtic guard to stream or gamble on in DFS, go with White or Payton Pritchard over Nesmith.

Tue Mar 8 202215:33Aaron Nesmith Being Considered Day-To-Day
Boston Celtics shooting guard/small forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) went through a shootaround at practice on Tuesday. According to Celtics coach Ime Udoka, Nesmith is still experiencing a degree of swelling and pain in his sprained right ankle. Udoka stated that Nesmith will be evaluated day-to-day going forward. The sophomore out of Vanderbilt has only missed one game so far due to this injury, but he may still have some more missed games ahead. It's been a rough year for the 22-year-old, who is averaging 3.4 points per game while shooting 36.6% from the field and 24.2% from beyond the arc.

Sat Mar 5 202222:55Aaron Nesmith Won't Play On Sunday
Boston Celtics guard Aaron Nesmith (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Nets. The 2020 No. 14 overall pick started in place of Jaylen Brown (ankle) during Thursday's win over Memphis. However, Nesmith picked up a sprained right ankle, relegating him to only five minutes of work on the night. Nevertheless, there is a chance Brown could be back in the lineup versus Brooklyn. Yet, if he isn't, Derrick White or Payton Pritchard will likely move into the starting rotation, although both men would surely see a bump in fantasy production.

Thu Mar 3 202218:27Aaron Nesmith Draws Third Career Start Thursday
Boston Celtics shooting guard Aaron Nesmith has been elevated to the starting five for Thursday's game against the Grizzlies with Jaylen Brown (ankle) unavailable. Nesmith has combined to shoot 3-for-15 overall, including 0-for-9 from behind the arc, in his two prior starts during his career. Nesmith will carry DFS appeal due to his low price tag, but he is more of a tournament play due to his streaky shooting (36.8% field goal percentage in 2021-22). With Nesmith in the starting lineup, Derrick White can be expected to continue seeing a significant chunk of offensive usage among the second unit.

Fri Jan 21 202218:24Marcus Smart, Aaron Nesmith Ruled Out For Friday’s Game
Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart and small forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) will be unavailable to play in Friday's contest against Portland. Smart is missing his sixth consecutive outing, although head coach Ime Udoka was optimistic that the team would have him back for their next contest on Sunday in Washington. Nesmith continues to battle an ankle ailment, which will keep him sidelined for a second straight game, paving the way for Romeo Langford to see a consistent role with the second unit again. Dennis Schroder will remain the team's starting point guard against a Trail Blazers defense that he scorched for 31 points in their last matchup back on Dec. 4.

Tue Jan 18 202219:32Marcus Smart, Aaron Nesmith Questionable To Play Wednesday
Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smartand small forward Aaron Nesmith (ankle) have been deemed questionable to suit up for Wednesday's contest against the Hornets. Smart has missed the past four outings under the league's health and safety protocols, but he could be ready for a return to game action, which would strengthen Boston's backcourt. Getting Smart in the mix would bump Dennis Schroder, who has led the team in assists the past two games, back to the second unit. Nesmith has played a minimal role on the wing for the Celtics, having scored in double figures just four times across his first 31 outings this season.

Thu Oct 28 202113:34Aaron Nesmith Quickly Losing Minutes
Boston Celtics guard Aaron Nesmith is beginning to lose the trust of head coach Ime Udoka. The organization wants Nesmith to slow down and play like he was during the summer league. Through three games, Nesmith has played 27 minutes and has failed to make a shot. It sounds like the Celtics will continue running him out there and hope things get better. However, he'll have to jump Josh Richardson in the rotation to have any consistent fantasy value.
