In typical Spurs fashion, Diaw will be rested Monday as coach Gregg Popovich attempts to ensure his veterans are as healthy as possible when the regular season opens in just over two weeks.

Diaw averaged 8.7 points, 0.7 three-pointers, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 0.4 steals in 25 minutes per game through 81 games in 2014-15.

This was Diaw's 12th NBA season, and the 33-year-old, who is under team control until 2017-18, put up the same good all-around production he's been known for his whole career. Diaw has been incredibly healthy over his career, and since joining the Spurs in 2011-12, he has played more than 75 games each season. Shooting 46 percent from the field and 77 percent from the free-throw line in 2014-15, the Swiss Army knife of a center has used his unorthodox style of play to drag bigger post players out to the perimeter to gain an advantage. The Spurs gave him 15 spot starts this season, but Diaw's role on the team is as a bench player, so unless the Spurs decide to shift gears next season, Diaw will likely be in a similar role again next season, playing about 24 minutes per game and holding fantasy value in deeper leagues while periodically earning enough playing time to be of use in standard leagues.

Diaw scored 12 points (5-11 FG 2-3 3PT, 0-1 FT) with four rebounds and three assists in the game seven loss to the Clippers on Sunday.

Diaw played big minutes for the Spurs this series, averaging 28.3 minutes played while scorin 11.6 points per game. Diaw will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but is a decent bet to return to the system he knows best in San Antonio.
