Strong owns a 2.04 ERA and 18:7 K:BB ratio in 17.2 innings over 12 relief appearances with Double-A Biloxi this season.

The left-handed Strong is showing why the Brewers added him to the 40-man roster during the offseason, limiting hitters to just a .161 batting average and striking out over a batter per inning and in his first extended Double-A stint.

The Brewers optioned Strong to Double-A Biloxi on Monday.

Strong spent big league camp with the Brewers after being added to the 40-man roster over the winter, but he has appeared in just one career game above the High-A level, so he still needs some seasoning. Despite his lack of experience at the upper levels, Strong would likely garner consideration if the Brewers need to add a left-handed reliever at some point during the season.
