Keyon Dooling is reportedly "unlikely" to re-sign with the Grizzlies but he's drawing "serious interest" from two NBA teams.
A handful of teams are still in the market for a third-string PG, which is Dooling's most likely role at age 33. He contemplated retirement last season but wound up with the Grizzlies, where he averaged 4.4 points in seven appearances.

Mon Apr 1 201308:54Report: Dooling favorite to land w/ Grizzlies
Keyon Dooling is still the favorite to sign with the Grizzlies, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
The Grizzlies have been sniffing around the guard market for a few weeks and Dooling has always ben thought of as a primary target. If signed, he'll offer no fantasy value and would have to prove he's in basketball shape after not playing all year.

Fri Mar 29 201311:35Report: Grizzlies considering five guards
A source told Chris Vernon that the Grizzlies are evaluating five guards and are expected to sign one for the playoff push.
The five guards are Keyon Dooling, Jonny Flynn, Courtney Fourtson, Sundiata Gaines and Scott Machado. The Grizzlies could use a veteran presence at the point, so adding someone like Dooling or Gaines might make more sense than the others.

The Grizzlies are reportedly hoping to sign Keyon Dooling, according to Peter Vecsey.
Dooling has not made a final decision, but he's been in contact with the Grizzlies and plans to make a decision by the upcoming weekend. The point guard has been working in the Celtics' front office this season and would have to leave that position to play again. Memphis is also said to be considering Jonny Flynn as an alternative to Dooling.

Keyon Dooling, who works in an executive role for the Celtics, says he doesn't plan on making a comeback after all.
Dooling made the announcement Wednesday on Twitter. After the Celtics lost Rajon Rondo (torn ACL) for the season, Dooling said he had "entertained thoughts" about returning this season. Coach Doc Rivers even admitted he'd told Dooling to start getting back into basketball shape, but it appears GM Danny Ainge was correct when he said the 32-year-old Dooling isn't an option.

In the wake of Rajon Rondo's torn ACL, Keyon Dooling, now 32 years old, could consider a comeback.

Sat Sep 22 201213:59Dooling not interested in signing w/ Heat
Keyon Dooling is not interested in joining the Heat, contrary to previous speculation.
"Keyon has decided that he has given the NBA 12 good years and that it's time to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family," his agent said. "He will never forget his time with the Boston Celtics." Even if Dooling does come out of retirement, he's not a fantasy asset.

Fri Sep 21 201208:59Could Keyon Dooling sign with Miami Heat?
Heat beat writer Ira Winderman believes that the Heat could make a play for Keyon Dooling.
Dooling was waived by the Celtics on Thursday in order to spend more time with his family and the idea is that he'll retire, but Dooling lives in Florida and has "long been a Heat favorite." Dooling would provide a veteran presence behind Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole, but we're filing this under speculation for now.

Thu Sep 20 201217:28Keyon Dooling waived by Celtics, will retire
Guard Keyon Dooling was surprisingly waived by the Celtics on Thursday and will retire, according to his agent.
The Celtics are thin at point guard and as of now, it looks like Jason Terry is going to be Rajon Rondo's primary back up. Dooling will hang it up after 12 NBA seasons, and was expected to help at point guard this season.

Celtics re-sign G Keyon Dooling.
Dooling missed 22 games due to injury during the shortened 2011-12 season, averaging 14 minutes per game, and we don't expect his playing time to increase with both Courtney Lee and Jason Terry filling out the Celtics' backcourt. The deal is for one year at the veteran's minimum.

Tue Jul 24 201217:25Celtics, Dooling agree on one-year contract
The Celtics and Keyon Dooling have agreed on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.
Doc Rivers loves Dooling's defense and veteran presence in the second unit, where he and Jason Terry will likely split play-making duties behind Rajon Rondo. Though a valuable addition for Boston, he's not a fantasy asset.

Sat Jul 21 201209:40Celtics may retain veteran PG Keyon Dooling
The Celtics may pad their backcourt by re-signing veteran PG Keyon Dooling.
The cap-conscious Celtics could retain Dooling on a veteran's minimum deal, or via his Bird Rights, without affecting their luxury-tax status. They may do so to keep a true backup PG on the roster, as their other three guards (Courtney Lee, Avery Bradley and Jason Terry) are all natural SGs.

Sat May 26 201218:39Dooling (illness) available to play in Game 7
Keyon Dooling (illness) confirmed that he will be available for Game 7 on Saturday.
The Celtics are going to play Rajon Rondo as many minutes as he can possibly handle with their season on the line, and Dooling isn't likely to exceed his playoff-average of nine minutes per game.
