"But it's really a special night for me and my family. It's been a long run. To be able to have the career I had here and then have a celebration like that, I feel very fortunate. Thu Apr 12 201802:53Westbrook averages a triple-double for 2nd straight season
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — For most point guards, grabbing 16 rebounds to achieve a milestone would seem a daunting task. For Russell Westbrook, it seemed a foregone conclusion. The Thunder star entered Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Memphis Grizzlies needing 16 rebounds to become the first player to average a triple-double in multiple seasons. He had four rebounds at the end of the first quarter, then snagged seven in the second in just under nine minutes. He had five rebounds in the first 2:42 of the third quarter to reach his goal, and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. He finished with just six points, but he had a career-high 20 rebounds and 19 assists in a 137-123 win. Collison (rest) will sit out of the Thunder's Friday night preseason game, Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman reports.
The team is simply giving the 34-year-old veteran a night of rest during the preseason. Collison will provide depth in the frontcourt for the Thunder this season, but won't get the minutes necessary to provide much fantasy value.

Collison (knee) recorded six points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and three rebounds in Wednesday's win over the Timberwolves.
Collison had a scope on his right knee during the offseason, but it never threatened his availability for the start of training camp. The veteran forward is again in line to fill out the Thunder's reserve ranks in the post, but don't expect him to see much more than 15-to-20 minutes per game.

Collison (knee) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday and will be able to resume basketball activities in four to six weeks, Royce Young of DailyThunder.com reports.
Collison battled through ankle injuries during the end of the regular season and apparently also dealt with issues in his right knee as well. The relatively short timetable for Collison's return indicates that he'll be ready to resume basketball activities over the summer.

Collison finished the 2014-15 season with averages of 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.7 minutes per game across 66 appearances (two starts) for the Thunder.
Collison, at 34 years old, matched his career-low minutes average from last season, but he also played 15 fewer games this season. The veteran big man's on-court role has been reduced over the years, even if he remains a consummate teammate and mentor for Oklahoma City's younger players. Still, with his contract now expired, it will be interesting to see if Collison returns for another run with the Thunder next season.

Collison (ankle) made his return to the court against the Kings on Friday. He finished with five points, seven rebounds, and one steal in 20 minutes.
Collison was off the court for multiple weeks but managed to take on his normal role off the bench Friday. As a result he should be able to do the same during the last few games of the season ahead of a potential playoff birth.

Collison (ankle) will come off the bench in Friday's game against the Kings, The Oklahoman reports.
Collison has been off the court since Mar. 20 and will likely be eased back into action Friday as he works his way back from a sprained ankle. He should compete for playing time with Enes Kanter and Mitch McGary moving forward.
Thu Apr 9 201515:26Collison (ankle) will be game-time call Friday against Kings
Collison (ankle) will be a game-time call Friday against the Kings, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Collison was evaluated during a workout Thursday, and his ankle checked out to the point that the team feels comfortable giving him the "game-time decision" designation. If he does play, however, he isn't likely to be a major factor.
Wed Apr 8 201513:51Collison (ankle) will go through workout Thursday
Collison (ankle) will go through a workout Thursday, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.
The Thunder said Sunday that Collison is not close to returning, but he's made some progress over the last few days, and he'll work out Thursday to give the team an opportunity to evaluate his progress. Collison seems unlikely to play Friday versus Sacramento, though more will be known following the workout.
Sun Apr 5 201512:36Collison (ankle) not close to making return
Collison (ankle) is not close to making a return, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Collison is seemingly in danger of missing the rest of the regular season, and there's no guarantee the Thunder will qualify for the playoffs. Still, there's some chance Collison could be a big part of the rotation, if he gets back on the court before Serge Ibaka (knee). OKC has been giving huge minutes to both Enes Kanter and Steven Adams, with Mitch McGary play a key role off the bench.
Tue Mar 31 201513:43Collison has yet to practice on sprained ankle
Collison has yet to practice on his sprained ankle, The Oklahoman reports.
Collison initially suffered the injury on Mar. 20, which was accompanied by at least 10 days of recovery. Because he continues to rehab, he'll almost assuredly miss Wednesday's game versus the Mavericks.
Sat Mar 21 201513:11Nick Collison: (Ankle) Out At Least 10 Days
Collison (ankle) will miss at least 10 days, NBA.com writer Randy Renner reports.
The Thunder continue to experience remarkably bad injury luck, as Collison's absence is piled on to an injury list that already features Kevin Durant (foot), Serge Ibaka (knee) and Enes Kanter (ankle) with mostly indefinite timetables. Steven Adams and Mitch McGary figure to get as many minutes as they can handle while Collison is out, foul counts permitting.

Collison suffered a sprained ankle in Friday's 123-115 win over the Hawks, Oklahoman reports.
Collison was spotted on crutches after the game, but coach Scott Brooks declined to speculate as to whether the injury could cost him time, saying simply, "Don't know his status." The 34-year-old Collison chipped in 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks Friday in 24 minutes, the most minutes he's played since March 4.

Collison moved into the starting lineup for Friday's game against Portland but ended up only seeing 12 minutes of plating time due to foul trouble. He finished with six points, three rebounds, and one assist.
Collison got the start in place of the injured Enes Kanter (thigh) but was unable to take full advantage of the promotion since he averaged a foul for every three minutes that he played. He'll likely be given the start whenever Kanter is unable to play in the future, although as evidenced by Friday's limited outing, that doesn't necessarily make Collison a candidate for increased production.
Fri Feb 27 201521:41Nick Collison: To Start Friday
Collison will start in place of Enes Kanter Friday against the Trail Blazers, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Collison will get another run in the starting lineup Friday thanks to an injury to the thigh of Enes Kanter. However, his presence in the lineup is likely temporary, as he will likely return to the bench once Kanter returns. Collison and Mitch McGary are likely the biggest beneficiaries of Kanter's injury, and both should see added minutes Friday.

Collison will give way to Enes Kanter in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Charlotte, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Collison still figures to serve as the first big man off the bench, and with Kevin Durant (foot) unable to play, it's not entirely out of the question that Collison could reach the 26-to-28 minutes he played in each of the last three games.

Collison started at center during Thursday's game against the Mavericks. He finished with two points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 26 minutes.
Collison was forced into his first start of the season Thursday due to a combination of injuries and players departing after the trade deadline. The Thunder play against the Hornets on Saturday and Collison may find himself in the starting lineup yet again, although the most tenured player on the Thunder provides limited value even when he sees significant minutes on the floor.
